I wonder how an everyday persons reaction to the phrase :
Hows it feel to be raked to death?
I've come up with a few good responses I think I'd hear, what do you guys think?
so i set some serious goal for the year, have been doin well stickin to my rollio and have went from nl2 to nl10 in the past 6 days, well tomorrow will be my first day at nl10
im doing progressive br management, suggested by maynard who i had a conversation about, and found that its definately the way for me to go, theres no reason pissing around w/ 100 bi on nl2, i proved to myself last month i can do it when i started the 25k challenge when i won 80bi at nl5 in a week and was very comfortable doing so
after which i was kind of in a bind for money and did some degen shit that i later regretted, trying to net a big win before mid december for new years purposes, meh oh well, down 1k or so for december until i hit the casino(literally broke the record for biggest stack ever at 1/2 in Salamanca Casino in New York) (right on the border of PA and NY)
Finished Day 1 with $2950 in about 13 hrs of work, ALL AT 1/2 on a 200 Max Buy-IN table where most the table buys in with 60-150, hardly any good regs though, but some players that can definitely hold there own vs the other casino regs
I went back a few more days and mopped up too but nothing close to that day
Ok enough about that;
so heres my chart and what I plan to do for this year
I know this is gonna get mad hate, but i feel 100% that I will do this right, I recognize poker is now a business and degening around is just for fun when u have a ton of money, or at a tiny stake that won't hurt your roll
So hopefully by the end of the year you'll see me back in my prime, juicing the midlimits like I once cultivated the mindset to do, and who knows, i mean if wobbly can make it to crush 5/10 i can definitely do so, so we'll see where it goes
Lookin to go far, so heres my year goals and br management guild
2009 Yearly Goals and BR management
6MAX MTT SNG HU
NL2 til 180 (18 bi for NL5)
NL5 til 220 (22 bi for NL10)
NL10 til 625 (25 bi for nl25)
NL25 til 2000 (40 bi for nl50)
NL50 til 5000 (50 bi for nl100)
NL100 til 12,000 (60 bi for nl200)
NL200 til 40,000 (100 bi for NL400)
NL400 til 65,000 (109 bi for NL600)
NL600 til 105,000 (105 bi for NL1k)
NL1k til 225,000 (112.5 bi for NL2k)
NL2k til 550,000 (110 bi for NL5k)
NL5k til 2M (can play all games under 200/400)
(ive had suggestions that I dont have to wait until 2M, the most likely of scenarios)
HU & MTT's - Must have 100+ buy-ins
180 MAN SNG's - 200 BI
90 MAN SNG's - 125 BI
45 MAN SNG's - 75 BI
HU SNGS - 4-8 tabling
6.25 turbo - $190.00
11.5 turbo - $300.00
23.0 turbo - $840.00
$34.50 turbo - $1200.00
$57.50 turbo - $2000.00
(will move down if I hit the max bi for the level below)
6m + FR - 8-24 tables
HU - 2-8 tables
MTTs - up to 25 tables
Sundays 10% bankroll allowance if not staked that week
Avoid Fast tables (more time/more tables/more money)
Stop loss! use 90 min timed sessions or stop if losing 5 bi before 90 mins
When you reach the plateau for the new limit you can unlock the next limit in the stars limit restrictions, stay patient and continue to grind or take a break until the new limit is open and move up
Estimated NL200 reg by late April
Goal for DEC 31 2009 BR $147,525
So everyone, its a new year, a new start for me, I won a nice chunk over new years to help my situation and no longer have the stress that I had
Things are lookin good, starting nl10 tomorrow, need to win 45 bi at nl10 before I have 650 and go to NL25
So if you read through this, you see what im up to, and hopefully this can help out some players in need of direction, I've had tons of great players giving me direction lately and its done nothing but help me realize how theres tons of monkeys on stars and all poker sites just trying to pay my bills, i just have to let them and chill
I'd almost say that I think I've finally had a relevation or two
When I came back from xmas, i put 600 on and played tons of mtt's and dusted it, said FUCK that, IM SO SICK OF DEPOSITING, IM RUNNIN $100 more in MTTs to build it into something! So i did that, dusted it again.
At this point I was uber pissed, I've been pissin money around so much since learning HU and I fuckin refuse to do so anymore.
So I'm sittin there, after all the new years and payin back some debts and that 800$ blown in mtt's, my moneys been just about cut in half.
I say FUCK THIS, LAST TIME, ONLY $50, TURN IT INTO SOMETHING! I'm NEVER DEPOSITING AGAIN AFTER THIS, and the guide was made.
So hopefully sharing this with the community is a good idea and not a bad one, i've been thinking whether I should or should not for a few days now

hey, u guys can flame all u want, its just motivation for me to do this
i've shown myself what i can and can not do, took some time off from the game and realized a few things that have been starin me in the face for a long time
i've dealt w/ my degenness
i still have fun degenin around PLO at nighttime, but its actually +ev and just a bunch of jokers pissin money around until the stakes get high, but i'll be playing a mix of PLO and NL through each limit so hopefully it doesn't slow me down at midlimits
ok im goin to smoke a pipe n get some sleep

Imo just do the 20bi rule for each limit until NL100.
You've tried this before and it never worked. It seems you get to around 500-1k ish then you get sick of your rules and go play higher limits/tilt at your limit/play a million MTTs. If that's going to happen again, just screw it and take shots a little earlier. If you go busto, redeposit and try again. You will eventually get it if you really think you can beat the stakes. |

Why do you need 109buyins for 600nl and only 105buyins for 1knl?
Why do you need 112.5buyins for NL2k but only 110buyins for NL5k??

not that i've read the whole post but if u r really determined no to spew ur bankroll again like last times GL u have a solid plan and its easy to plan something but the execution of the plan will be pretty hard imo |
