uni is over finally (fuck uni!!) so im going to try and take poker really seriously starting tomorrow and grind a certain number of hands per day. theoretically my goal is to try and make $1,000 (AUD) every day for 30 days, i dont think it's unachievable since google says 1k AUD is $666 USD. and at Nl200FR if i play 10k hands a day that's already $220USD just in FPP rakeback, so i would need to win 1 buyin every 5000 hands i play. (um... that is 0.5ptbb/100, 1BB/100... thats not hard for me 12-14 tabling short sessions but i dont think ill play as good as i normally do if playing long hours and mass hands)
if i factor in potentially mixing in nl400 tables once my roll is a bit fatter i think its definitely achievable
biggest task will be grinding out the hands day after day.
i'm starting to get used to 24 tabling, anyway just wanted to know of the players out there who grind a shitload (intensedawg, handbanana, mipwnya, wobbly) how do you schedule ur day? do you play 2 shifts of say 4 hours? what do you do for food, eat while grinding or just have big meals in between? if you start losing say 5 buyins in a short period, do you quit or just keep playing, and how do u keep ur cool, just go into fold to any bet mode, or just dont let it get to u?

I can tell you wobbly has no grinding routine. He will play like min 5k hands, and if he's stuck he'll continue to play until unstuck, cancel all social engagements and grind until he uses his 40gb cap by solely playing poker |

i dont think thats yearly coz the last graph he's shown was like 20k lifetime, maybe that's for a month or two. i hope i can be a reg like lachlan at 200nl by january, withdrawals killed my progress this year T_T |

very nice! 1000 AU$ a day thou x_x seems impossible if you ever have even a normal sized downswing. well glgl, i just finsihed uni too and i'm doing the same kinda thing (on NL25 lolol i suck after taking a break for so long). I haven't been keeping to a schedule, just making sure I am prepared before a session. make sure I'm unlikely to be interrupted, make sure i have eaten a meal, been to the lav, I have a bottle full of just juice mixed with mountain dew to keep energy up, and a nice ambient playlist sorted. then just gogogo till i lose 3 buy-ins or start to feel tired or distracted.
oh other thing that stops me is having to piss. I'm really thinking I might need a pee bottle soon... |

At NL200 you make about 0.5 base VPP per hand. So for 5k hands at NL200, you would make in the neighborhood of 2,500 VPPs. Multiplied by 3.5 for Supernova bonus, and there you have a lot of Sunday tourney tickets and $1,500 bonuses. |

thanks all, yeah i think 1KAU/day will be tough but it would be so sweet if it's possible to pull off... will require a lot of hours though so i'll see how i go.
like phexac said, to work out my FPPs i divide my # of hands by 2.2, so 5k hands would be 2.27k VPPs, which is 8k fpps @ supernova.
graph is actually my lifetime graph at NL200/400, which i started in May/June i think, so 4 months worth. planning to make my monthly graph look similar to this though (hands wise, not winrate wise) over next 30 days if i can  |
