yo hansen, if u go to the closest telstra shop (theres a few in sydney CBD) you can definitely pick up a USB mobile broadband modem - no doubt you'll be disappointed with our third world speed/bandwith limits
you can sign up to a plan pretty easily, but im not sure how you'll go as you're not a citizen and they won't be able to view any of your credit history etc.

eh, telstra vodafone and even 3 i think all offer some kind of mobile (by mobile i assume you mean anything that can be taken around and not by using your mobile only) internet.

It's not really all that cheap or even good but not really much other choices

muckv - i have an iq of 180 and i want someone to teach me how to take a shit IN the toilet.

I ended up going with telstra because even though they are expensive the coverage is a lot better and won't drop out on as you as much. I had virgin go down on me multiple times, one of them in a 4k pot, etc. Cost wasn't really an issue at that point.

we went out and signed up with telstra, we couldnt do a contract plan because we will leave in less then 12 months, it was a requirement to stay in aus until the contract expired, so instead we signed up for a prepay plan
6gb for AU$100 and the coverage&speed seems to be the best around when it comes to mobile internet so it wasnt really a hard choise since we will move around alot and bad coverage would fuck us up big time. just tried it out and it seems pretty stable for pokering

due to incompetent support on vodafone i havent been able to activate my simcard so wobbly and others you will have to reship that shit later
