So yea, can't wait till' tomorrow, tomorrow she goes away...

If you ad some donkament scores for like 10k USD, a tiny profit in omaha and a really good rakeback deal this month has turned into my best one ever.

So obviously june was a pretty good month. I've played like 10k hands on limits higher then 3/6 and with some table selection I really feel I've got an edge. Most of the regs are kinda retarded and I just keep away from the others. There's like 2 or 3 LPers I try not to mess to much with and like 3 other regs of which at least 2 plays 10/20 and 25/50 pretty regularly and I figured I'd keep away from them too. The rest of them seems to be bad nits, total spewtards or just random TAGfish which is great of course. I've also exprimented a lot with really, really light 3-betting in position and some new things in 3-bet pots which has worked out wonderfully and overall I guess I'm quite happy with my game right now, even though I obviously always try to improve. I've actually rewatched a lot of really good CR- and Leggo videos and I think that has helped a lot too.

Winning donkaments and getting deep in them has been really fun. I'd like to say thanks once again to everyone who railed me during my two final tables this month. Really good stuff. I feel that my tournament game is pretty decent vs the somewhat retarded fields of players that populate the prima MTT's. I guess watching CR-vids for fun pays of in the long run.

I've had a couple of bad days and session where I've lost a shitload of buyins but I haven't really tilted much at all. I know everyone says that, but I think it's mostly because no one really “admits” to themselves that they're tilting. However, I've really felt something new this month. Except for one two or three occasions, which was kinda partly triggered of outside of poker factors, I've never really felt angry or anything at the tables. I've just figured that it was either standard and kinda bound to happen or I've seen that someone had fucked up badly and gotten it in very bad against me and felt kinda proud that I played good, even though the results didn't show short term. I think this has a lot too do with me winning a fair bit in the beginning of the month and for the first time in like a year actually playing somewhat within my bankroll AND on limits I actually care about. Now I'm telling myself something like; "Ok, he tried to give me money but he failed. Let him keep trying".

I've always been somewhat inclined to get better at things I really like, of which poker is one, and I'm sure I'll try to get higher eventually, but fortunately for me I'm also really, really lazy with things I find boring and I really don't feel like splitting my roll searching for action and there are just not enough games running on prima higher then 5/10 for me to be interested during the foreseeable future. If I can maintain a decent winrate over like 100k hands or so I might look in too it but otherwise I don't think I'll go on any adventures. I really start to feel how this game might have a pretty big impact on my financial future and it feels really good. I really hope I can stay on top of my game for the rest of the summer and make a lot of money. I'm going for a personal wealth of a million SEK (like 150k USD) before I turn 22 next spring and I think I'll make it pretty easely. More then halfway there and I spent the bigger part of last year and this spring fucking around with too much alcohol and too little discipline.

I've also started taking daily 1.5 hour walks and such, which is kinda boring from time to time, but I lose some weight I gained during the winter and even though it kinda tires me now I feel that it'll give me more energy long term.

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN

man gj, big turn around after the long break even streak

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time
