So today I interviewed with Ernst & Young and BDO for their internal auditing internships. I had Ernst & Young to interview with first in the morning and man the interviewer sweated me for 45 mins and things got really ugly when the subject of my grades came up. I didn't try to make up any bullshit though and told him straight up that I missed the final exams last semester for stupid reasons and the professor didn't let me make them up, but that I learned my lesson and am trying my best to give due effort in all of my classes now.

Unfortunately, I don't think he bought the honesty ploy at all, so I feel that my chances of working at E&Y are pretty much shot to shit, especially considering the depth of competition for that prestigious firm to begin with.

The second interview went flawlessly except for the fact that I was 5 minutes late (shit!). I was playing poker online at my house in between the interviews and god damn it i hate the fact that time just exponentially speeds up at the last minute. The interview was at 1 and I was pretty sure that only about a minute passed since I last looked at the clock, which was pointing at 12:30. I was ONLY going to play for a little bit before I realized that it was fucking 12:50!!!

Fortunately, my dodge neon has the ability to shrink time and space to some degree so I shortened the 20 minute trip to school to 10 and also dressed up while driving =D

The BDO interview went perfectly as far as selling myself goes. I was really able to drill my fluency in Korean into the interview's head so there's something that should stand out when he goes over the applicants for the west coast/new york. So there's still some hope for a non-degenerate summer.

Pokerwise, I played a total of about 5 hours today, during the first session in between the interviews when I went up 3 buyins on NL10 and then an additonal 3 on a second session that I just finished for around 900 hands, so my bankroll went from 225 to 280 today =D.

Gotta mention this one hand against an UBER FUCKING NIT sitting with 500BB against whom I went all in for 150BB with a Q8 straight vs. his K9 straight.. WTF lol. but other than that, I played pretty smoothly overall, cbetting tons and valuebetting the river tons and generally not getting sucked out. the easiest thing is that I can control so much of the game here at NL10 since most of the players I've seen are passive as fuck. heh.

Also played that 2 dollar tourney on PStars just now and cashed out for a whopping 3.50 (fuck yeah). the final hand was me on the BTN with AQo ~3.5k chips vs. the SB with 8k and an AJs. I obv. shove and he calls... the flop comes A J x and the turn is another J, crushing my hopes for the 1.4k first place prize, which definitely isn't too shabby for a 2 dollar investment. I'm pretty sure if I play about 700 of these, I would come out at least even in the end (3 fucking all ins the first hand of the game which was a QQ vs AQs vs J9s preflop -_________-;; ).

But on this particular one I'm not too sure if i played properly as I only saw about 7% of the flops for over 2 hrs of play. I know I'll switch gears following the flow of the tourney but I didn't even get the chance to do so this time. hopefully, the next time I play, I'll be able to secure a bigger lead going into the money.

GL fellas

EDIT: nvm an ace on the river would have split that pot for me lol i gotta stop returning to my post ten fucking times every time.

I also read the first three paragraphs and applaud your entertaining story. However, towards the end of the blog i found it to be a tad boring at times. Please reconcile this issue in further blogs. Post anecdotes or jokes to keep readers entertained, possibly pictures. Overall i have to assess that you have just passed this blog but keep trying and you will pass with good results.
