Now many teens also have lives on the Internet. And bullying has followed teens online.
Online bullying, called cyberbullying, happens when teens use the Internet, cell phones, or other devices to send or post text or images intended to hurt or embarrass another person. Cyberbullying is a problem affecting almost half of all American teens."
This is an abomination that needs to stop. I for one am in total agreement with this article. Cyberbullying is a big problem nowadays and steps must be done to insure the safety of all people on the internet....

Since when has our society become this spineless as to come up with bullshit like CYBERBULLYING. Holy shit this puts me on perma life tilt. I understand regular old fashioned bullying where you give the poor little kid a nice full course in bullying topped off with a swirly in the dirty toilet. But damn, someone typing "YOU ARE TEH GAYZ" over the internet is not something we should be losing sleep over. The longer i live the more i hate humanity.

Calling someone teh gayz is probably not what the writer is talking about.
High tech bullying, like spreading pictures of a bullied person over the internet, doing nasty shit like putting up a pic on uglypeople.com, making a homepage for someone to embarrass and hurt a person etc is more the point I think ;;
And shit like that can probably be more hurtful (and last longer) to a person than getting beaten up. |
