So I took my car in for a tuneup and they found about 5 things wrong with it which is going to come out to another thousand bucks to fix. Oh well.

My advice, take it to 2 places, or even 3 and see what happens. Some places will charge you 7k to repair your car that doesn't need it at all.

its a BMW so it basically needs to be taking to BMW so they can really check out everything. i wouldn't want to take it to any Tom , Dick an Harry's car auto.

bmw or not take it to another garage and get another quote, whats the harm in that?

mechanics are notorious for finding faults in things that work fine

My friend was planning to buy a car, and he took that car to garage for a check before buying, they said it was fine, once he bought it he went to other garage to change oil and engine strap, while changing these things they found another N problems to fix, he suggested them to fuckthemselves and everything was fine. =]
