Yea, I actually seem to be doing well at NL100 now. I’m up like 5 buyins this week and I’m starting to get a feel for it. It’s a bit less nitty compered to NL50 so I’ve made some bad laydowns but I think that it might be better to be on the tigher side of things, at least in the beginning. A thing that greatly disturbs me is preflop min-raising. For some reason a lot of people on Unibet seems to love to raise to 2 bb with all kinds of shit. It’s just repulsive! I’ve started to reraise that shit with a very liberal range of hands and so far it has worked out really well. The one thing I’m thinking about right now is how big these pre flop raises should be. Assuming that people can do that with things like suited connectors, premium hands and pairs I’d really like to remove any odds for set hunting, but I don’t really know what I think about raiseing to something like 12-14 bb with semi-bad hands that I might have to let go of after a contbet or so. This also applies to normal reraises preflop. If someone has any ideas about this topic I’d love to hear them.
Another thing about reraised pots: I read some “the well with CTS” or something on 2+2 and he talked about how people generally bets to big in a reraised pot since you’ll get people allin anyway because the pot starts out a lot bigger and the implied odds are smaller. I’ve tried this out and started to bet half pot if I’ve reraised something pre flop on most occations. I only bet bigger if there’s obvious draws in the board that I wouldn’t like people chasing. I feel that this is nice since I get away from things cheaper but still gets the same value out of worse hands. Is this good or bad? Anyone?
