Im in canada thinking about staying for a month to play zoom on pokerstars. I have 2 laptops one with holdem manager one (its a shitty slow laptop) and a new one that doesnt have anything (i would play on my new one if i decided to play on stars). The question is when i play on my old laptop it doesnt give me live update of stats for people. it lags behind even a few hands. Is it a problem with zoom in general (or my laptop?) or should does it work with holdem manager 2 only?

yeah its a zoom issue. You have to make sure pokerstars, hem and hem hud are all running as administrators |

Hem works with zoom, but it is kind of difficult to set up. download the latest update '1.13.01 internal' , make sure pokerstars.exe/pokerstarsupdate.exe/hem.exe/hud.exe all runs as (Run this program as an administrator) if on windows 7. In Hem make sure your hero name and prefered seat are all setup correctly. If you have problems setting it up, maybe i can help you on skype, i recently updated everything in HEM to work with zoom. Said all that I still prefer HEM over HEM2. |

my new laptop has windows 8 btw. is that an issue here? i am not aware of running things as administrator goes on windows 8 since i have just gotten it and am not familiar with it |

I haven't used windows 8 yet, and hem.exe and hud.exe usualy should run as admin out of the box. For the pokerstars.exe/pokerstarsupdate.exe i found this http://www.intowindows.com/run-program-as-administrator-in-windows-8/
might be helpfull. Not sure cause I don't have windows 8. Don't get discouraged, i was kind of frustrated when setting it up, but eventually it worked. |

i have PT3, i had the same issues some times and its because my computer is running slow, try everything to make it faster, more space, housekeeping, defragment, try 1 table zoom slowly and see if its all good.. if it is its because of computer speed. |

yomer im in canada visiting adam. i might stay for a month but i am only scheduled to stay for a week. depends on if i like zoom and think i can make 100k vpps in 1 month. then i might stay =_= |
