big ol' edit

tldr anyway. got hammered, lost my mini bank-roll yet again.

it's at ~8$. Thinking of getting a new job in the mean-time anyway, I hate working by the hour - would much rather a salary (even if it's shit, until I get a real career).

Actually kinda fucking pumped. This usually gets me into it. Pretty certain I'll smash past lemon in a month or so again. Then again, to even act like that's an accomplishment... fml

I think you need to work on your game away from the tables if you want to get better, at least imo you posted some really bad advice in the HH section which could (should) be solved by reading up on basic poker theory / math.

GL nevertheless!

My favourite line is Bet/Fold. I bet, you fold.

Absolutely agree man! heh, I've never stated that I consider myself to be that good of a poker player, just better than the vast majority of those I play against (that being horribad players).

Shouldn't be really hard to go past me in under a month when I work 60hr/week my BR is just $860 now. I can hardly say I am better than the regs I play with when I take tilt after work into account.

I couldn't even imagine what it would be like to play at a table literally fully of regs. It's definitely true that the vast majority of profits come from fish, or the standard set-ups, ya know?

Mind you, haven't watched a DC series in almost half a decade now.

edit - I guess what I mean is, when I try to profit vs regs (at a higher than playing simple hand-value basis, etc.) I end up FPSing myself into the gutter

Also should be much easier since I am also very risk aware since I am actually taking poker semi-serious this time, being a huge bankroll nit doesn't help when speed of moving up is the goal

I guess we both started poker around the same time or someting.
2008 ?
We both had ups and down all the time but we never made it.
basically make few thousands and then bust it all
repeat x 400
I did quit poker like 1,5 Years ago.

I dont regret that descision 1 little bit.

Maybe you should consider the same

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)

I don't see why anyone would have to quit, I love the game it's a hobby for me now a very fun one if Devon is the same he shouldn't either :D

I mean what do you with your time? you can just put 1-2hrs per day instead of marathon porn sessions or watching TV, read some articles and listen to audio when you are bored on the bus and it's all you need to build BR and have fun in the process part time poker is even more fun because there is 0 pressure, you get to play instead of got to play, it's nice to have a hobby really.

Yeha in case poker is fun to you and you enjoy the actual game.
Allthough i guess its pretty hard to acutally like a game that u have played for 5 years without having success ?

Success is relevant. You guys could easily visit a local casino once a week and crush

Surely you guys had some successes?
I paid for my uni expenses through poker, had a great 6 months grinding fulltime, and with a little self-delusion and willingness to work on your game you can always believe you will make it to at least somewhat decent levels

@ lemon

I am talking about devon06
Not what limits u played or how much you made etc....
since i believe when u got somehow "successfull" i was already right before quitting poker.
-> i have no idea about your poker career

But what i remember is that devon and i had kinda similar patterns 2 years ago
win a few thousand within 1-2 months -> lose it all in a few days.

Now 2 years later it seems nothing has changed for him ?
