Happy January,
Hope the new year is being kind to you, it has been a great start for me.
I was hoping someone that has played around with HM a bit more than me could let me know how to set it up to see how a specific holding measures up in different situations.
Eg. KQoff vs a raise and one caller.
Or to see a certain hand by position Eg. 88 utg.
I know how to see by position and by situation, but can you focus it on specific hands?

Also, I will be heading to Vancouver Mainland this week on buisness for a week. I really only have about 2-3days of work to do so was hoping to play some live games while visiting. What are the best venues out there? Is there any live LHE action or all NL? Do any rooms offer mixed game or Ohmaha/8b?

Heading to Vegas in 2nd week of Feb also, maybe you will see me at the Bellagio.

assuming youre using HM1:

you just gotta edit the filters in the report section, eg 88 utg, you'd just only select early in the position category (main filters). then just go to hole cards and deselect every hand except for 88. in the tab more filters you can also use filters in order to decide the preflop action, lets say you only wanna filter for the hands where you call an open preflop, you'd just use the filters VPIP=TRUE and PFR=FALSE.

hope that helped

Oh, that was so much easier than I thought. Ty aernout.
Some of the filter by actions look interesting but daunting to learn about!
I have been making a big effort to study my own game lately as I have had HM for years and still only use the basic HUD and stats, which are helpful but HM is such a great tool to improve that I feel I need to learn how to use it more effectively.
I have HM1 on my laptop, HM2 on my pc but currently has a faulty hard drive so will be using laptop for at least a few more weeks.
Still not sure which one I prefer, both have different positives and negatives.

If u want to find out more, that Alan guy on bluefire got 70 vods on how to use HEM, and he has mostly series, and I think there's a whole series dedicated to how to use HEM best to go through hands like u describe there, which ones is smartest to filter, to look for leaks etc.
