Need more info, the guy who's drunk, is 300 dollar a lot of money to him. If it's pennies to him, it's fine.

It's definitely angle shooting from the friend.

If it's money that matters to either, he's a total douche and should get some reprecussions.

My first thoughts on it.

definitely not ethical imo. it's like putting more chips on the table when you know you have a good hand.

Angle shoot that fired back, the SS is a dick for trying to scam a friend imo, what kind of friend is that btw ? If the fish was not shitfaced then it would be 100% legit to make a deal on the side, he's free to accept or refuse so np

Odds are exactly 50%: it either happens or not

Thats just asshole act of him.

Its like
risking 10bb vs the regs and then suddenly buying in for 600bb when u are up all-in HU against the fish ?
Thats more than unfair towards all other players

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 14/04/2012 08:07

ethics + poker = lol

The probability of someone watching you is proportional to the stupidity of your action.

I dont see what the issue is, obviously you just object to it and thats that.
Its not a question of ethics, hes just making up rules because he has AA and wants to win the most amount of money.

also whether its at the poker table or not dsnt really matter, taking advantage of a drunk friend out of greed is veeery low, I would definitely call him out and stay away from said "friend"

Spot on imo.

I disagree with the spot on statement as deciding to play with "friends" at a poker table actually does matter a somewhat good amount in the friend department if the money being played for is relevant to any one friend at the table (which it seems is the case here)

u're either being a hypocritical hustler or kidding urself naively somewhere in ur head if u do this <---most likely in your definition of friend

The probability of someone watching you is proportional to the stupidity of your action.

I think playing NL50 with friends is fine, assuming none of them are broke or desperately need money. Its not like you sit to take their money and pay for your bills, you should just be playin for fun and money shouldnt matter
