I'm having trouble multi-tabling HU because the action goes so fast. Any suggestions/recommendations? Mostly I can't keep track of how the meta/flow is going at certain tables and I don't notice small things like timing bets because tables flip around so fast demanding action. How does everyone else adjust for things like this?

I often miss small things like how a certain player plays his midpairs, if he donks at all, etc and I get confused on who does what. Aside from the obvious "play less tables" how does one adjust/learn to play this type of setting? What has helped other people?

I won't have answer cause i have no clue, but i guess it could help if you say on how many tables do you play and if you tile or cascade and other things like that.

sorry for shitty english.

I play usually cascade 3-5 tables HU SnG's. I find my winrate is ~70% 1-tabling and ~50-55% 3-5 tabling.

Just play what you are comfortable with

good software helps. setup hotkeys so you can do your actions faster, layout your tables so things are easy to see. if you are playing on a eurosite its good to setup HEM1/PT3 so that you can review interesting hands quickly. e.g. can just one click on a the hem HH box and the last hand pops straight up to see how he played that KK
after you have figured out some leaks a player has, then its time to make a strategy to exploit those leaks buy slightly adjusting your HU play.
And then the hardest part is switching plans every hand as you multitable different opponents. I honestly don't know how to overcome, I have a few vauge ideas: being aware of it and training. as soon as one hand is over have to refresh your mind with your strat for beating the next guy, and then plan the next hand from there. So need to connect your strategy strongly to the player, Hud can help here too, the stats giving you a reminder of what your strategy is by defining the player in more ways. Writing a note would help alot, but often won't have time as strategy changes so fast.
hmm, more I think about it more I like some kind of note shorthand that is right there infront of you when you look at the HU table.
so something like "Strategy vs this guy: Tighten up preflop, vbet him thin and don't bluff him or bluff-catch" is a bit long to write in the middle of action, but in shorthand:
S: Ti Pre, vbt !blf !blfcat.
I dunno, I am making this up right now.

Play even more tables. Then after you've done that for awhile, your current table count will be easy.

bye now

I sugest you read Mental Game of Poker from Jared Tendler
your brain can't process too many things if you are learning and have to think logically to make an action, so start playing 1~2 tables and when you start playing good automatically without having to think too much, after that so you can start adding more tables

Dont listen to anything I sayLast edit: 22/03/2012 18:41

Well i was pointing out that it might be some kind of missperception that makes u think u do sooo much better 1 tabling than 2 tabling.
It doesnt matter if u 1 table the 1$SNGS 70% winrate even semi-longterm (more than 2000 HU sngs) is just not possible.

If u have 60% winrate semi-longterm u are absolutely crushing the stakes u play !

So what i would do is make 3 different opponent types
Manica, Nit and solid and then play with different default ranges for different boards vs them

However its still pretty tough
maybe ask Player999 he can profitable 6 table HU sngs afaik

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 22/03/2012 23:11
