I run worse than cosmo
   SakiSaki, May 29

Well, almost. Im running so baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad its fucking sick. Im getting totally fucking pwned. Most of it isnt even coolers, its just me getting fucking colddecked all the time, getting in to weird marginal spots and such. Some of it is bad play and tilt aswell, cant deny that.

Im to crushed to post any hands but just look through my last few hands ive posted to get some idea of how pwned i actually am.

I took a break from poker a couple of days back after dropping 15k in two days. Today was supposed to be my comeback but I managed to drop another 15k instead. yippiekayey!

Anyways, I guess this is to be expected after running like jesus for 3 months so Ill just have to suck it up and move on.

What sucks the most about all this is how easily im thrown off my A-game. If i always played my absolute best I wouldnt worry too much cause I would know its just variance and I will bounce up again soon enough. But I keep making questionable plays and we all know how those turn out when youre running bad. This in turn tilts me cause I get really really frustrated with myself which causes me to make more retarded plays and so on and so fourth.

Fuck this, ill drop down and beat at the 2/4 morons for a couple of days to regain confidence. 30k downswing aint no thang!

Downswing on a EV Graph
   JonnyCosMo, May 27

Today I put my bad run between April and May onto the PokerEV Software just to see how bad I was running... and oh boy... it was bad. For those of you who dont believe that I got unlucky, just check this out:

Almost this entire graph takes place at NL200 on PokerStars.

Translation of the graph goes as follows, the red line is what I should be making at showdown (true Sklansky bucks). The blue line is what I actually won at showdown. So you compare the difference between the red line and the blue line. The aqua line is my Equity Adjusted to total winnings, which basically is an estimate to what I should be winning adding in all the pots I won w/o showdown as well. At the bottom is my Total Winnings over that time period. Suicide eh?

There is over $4k difference between what I should have won and what I actually won. That's pretty freakin sick... Been running better recently, which has been good. Compared to my past month I feel like I'm running like god again. Let's hope this keeps up!

Graphaments
   TianYuan, May 27

+150$ sign up bonus just cleared, so my bankroll is at an all time high of 1700 something which I'm really happy about!

Running at 6~bb/100, dunno if it can be called running hot (I dunno what's standard really) but I'm most certainly not running bad at least

Au revoir, NL25
   TianYuan, May 25

Which puts me at a comfortable 1270$, for playing NL50 (also my 150$ deposit bonus clears really soon and I'll have another 20$ coming in tomorrow).

I played a liiiiiittle bit too loose today, but it might not be all bad as I finally found myself catching a lot of bluffs where I previously folded so while I definitely overdid the looseness in some cases (like in one hand I posted.. oops) I think it might have been positive as well.

Anyway, swingy as fuck session as I was playing somewhat high variance + making a few stupid plays + running like god for periods of time.

So yeah, 2nd time I'll give NL50 a shot, last time was back in february and ended badly (cause I got impatient and moved up with 20 buyins and got destroyed by variance + tilt + being worse than I thought I was).

At least this time I'll have a little bigger cushion against variance, be slightly better, and hopefully I'm not worse than I think I am.

The reason for the relatively few hands is that I've been busy obsessing about the SC2 announcement!

Back On The Up and Up!
   JonnyCosMo, May 25

So I woke up this morning and told myself that I'm going to just 2 table and see if I can play the best poker I can play for 1 day. Now before I started, keep in mind I haven't 2 tabled in like... so I've never 2 tabled ever. Anyways, the day started with me stacking a donkey with my bottom set, and then making a super thin value shove vs redgrape that got him to tank for a good 45 seconds before he folded (so close yo~!). I played for like 4 hours today which is how long I normally play, and it was one of the most stress free days of poker I've ever had. It was just really refreshing to concentrate on only 2 tables. As for my results today, I finally jump-started the money making machine again -->

Only got in 1215 hands today, but my winrate over that time was pretty sweet and finally a $1.5k day. I think I'm going to go back to NL400 tomorrow and just 2 table to start off my day again. Let's hope this is the start to great things!!!

B-Boy BC One
   JonnyCosMo, May 25

For those that dont know, I'm a big fan of hip hop in all forms. From the music to the dancing, I just love all of it. So every year Red Bull teams up with the best B-Boys in the world and they hold the Red Bull BC One B-Boy Championships, which just is the sickest display of dancing period. For those that dont know what kind of dancing I'm talking about check some of these videos out from my favorite matches:

Moy vs Hong 10 - Hong 10 completely pwns this American

Lilou vs Ronnie - Lilou is like x100 better than Ronnie. Watch Lilou from 2:55 to 3:10 in this vid. OMG?

Omar vs Lilou - The defending 2004 champion vs the 2005 champion. The end squence of moves is amazing.

Lilou vs Hong 10 - This is the final round so I only put the short summary video here since the original battle is like 9 mins long.

If these dances look interesting to you, you should definitly get the DVD since it's packed with sick b-boy battles like this plus some extras including Razhel's beat boxing.

She Thinks I'm Cute!
   JonnyCosMo, May 22

So Lyric msgs me last night at 3:00am and informs me that some chick on 2+2 saw my picture from the Bahamas and thinks I'm cute. LOL... Don't believe me?

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sho....php?Cat=0&Number=8746382&page=0&vc=1

Ding! The verdict is: The asian one is cute! There is a ego-booster for you. And to add to this ego boost, I'm finally having a winning week at poker. I was down like $5500 at the lowest point this month but I've gotten myself back to only being down $2700. Not bad at all. I'm still running pretty bad, but I think I'm playing my best. It also helped that I cashed in both the Sunday Warm-Up and the Sunday Million this past weekend.

In other news, my good friend Corwin Cole has organized and put together the Liquidpoker Private Lesson section where players can hire coaches for lessons. I have put my name up for coaching at a rate of $80 an hour (I make roughly $100/hr so I want to make it as close as possible to that). The catch is that I am not going to coach anyone higher than NL100. The reason for this is that I dont want to be helping out my fellow competition. That would be retarded. I'm actually interested in long-term students willing to set-up profit sharing deals over a period of hands. Discussion about my lesson rates can be handled by contacting me directly (AIM or MSN), but I think I'd be willing to do some lessons for just payment from profit-sharing depending on how trustworthy you are and what stakes you play.

If you are interested in lessons from me, and working out some sort of deal, contact me or just sign up through the Liquidpoker Lessons thing:

AIM: QStaRBoi
MSN: jonnycosmo@hotmail.com

To be quiet honest with you, I think [vital]Myth and Daut are pretty excellent coaches and worth every cent they are asking. Myth is especially smart about the game as I realized after talking to him tons at Vegas. Too bad the kid is so busy and doesn't get much time to log in some hands, otherwise he'd be total baller bankin yo~.

Btw, I'm going to be in Vegas from June 15th to July 3rd. Apparently I'm sharing a condo with actionDJ, pmilanov, SakiSaki, DF_Newb, and foxfox1. Should be some fun. Give me a holla if your in vegas during that time!

Die vegas airport taxi line
   Daut, May 22

Just flew into vegas. Experienced one of the worse beats i've taken in a while.

until I can move into the house im staying this summer, I booked a room in the palace station hotel. It's this little shithole about a mile off the strip. Anyway, they run some shuttles to and from the airport and the strip. The shuttles leave from the airport every hour on the half hour.

So my flight lands at 2:55 vegas time and things are looking good that i will be able to make the 3:30 shuttle. I get off the plane, get a quick bite to eat, then go to the baggage claim. The following suckout transpires:

i didnt get my luggage until 335 and missed the shuttle. So instead of riding a free shuttle I had to go to my LEAST favorite place in the world. The vegas airport taxi line.

for those of you who have been to the vegas airport, you know how awful the taxi line is. It's a 1/4-1/2 mile long line full of retired degenerations, reeking of desperation, ready and eager to drop every dime from their last pension check down a slot machine.

Look at this shit:

an hour later, wanting to kill myself, i finally got in a taxi and came over to the shithole palace station.

DIE VEGAS TAXI LINE DIE.

rollercoaster
   SakiSaki, May 19

I wish I wasnt so lazy so I could download pokergrapher cause I bet my graph for the last few days would look nasty. I bounced up 20k in two days, crashed and lost 9k the day after that and recovered 9k~ today. Variance is a bitch but alot of the swingy comes from my play shifting from really good to horrible from session to session.

Heres an example of playing like a monkey and sucking out like a champ:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/195519

and some badass hands:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/193391
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/194117
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/195502
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/194564
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/194117

3rd barrel is definitely the new second barrel.

Results may:

Life is good. Lps new private lesson thingy is nothing short of awesome! I used to be a bit torn about the whole thing but Ive come to realize how great this is. The coaches are really generous sharing their trade secrets for less than they would make an hour playing, and I think there is no end to what kind of improvement you can reach by taking private lessons with a great player. Im thinking of signing up for some lessons with tomson or Roman some time in the future. Would be cool just to get some diffrent inputs and perspective from great pokerminds.

Also, SC2 is fucking coming bitches! I just wish ppl could stop hating on the poor game. Blizzard wont make the same misstake they did with war3, and sc2 will fucking rule. Remember who said it first.

I cant wait to sit on vent playing degen betmatches when we are all noobs. AWESOME!

Two articles in bluff and the winnar is......
   Daut, May 18

Rodeoblue obv.

2nd place to heath:

too bad 2nd place gets nothing!

here's rodeo's masterpiece:

go blow it and more chunks at strip clubs (inside joke that i should definitely write up as a blog entry because rodeo has literally the funniest strip club story ive ever heard)

I have 2 articles in bluff magazine. one is written by me, its basically about putting people on hand ranges and making logical actions, that was in the may issue, and the second is a WSOP preview article in june centered on me and a few other young players (eric froelich, johnny lodden and a couple other guys) who a lot of people dont know about.

ive yet to see either one yet, ill try to pick up a bluff magazine when i get to vegas.

May so far
   SakiSaki, May 16

Erm, So I havent really played much poker at all in may. I spent my first days of the month hung over and pissed and after that I left for USA so most of the poker ive gotten done so far is during the last two days Ive been home.

I really wanna put some more time into playing and hopefully I can motivate myself to play alot the following weeks. Right now, being jetlagged kinda helps. Feels like the games on party are softer during the night so ship it.

Results so far:

My vegas trip is finally becoming reality. If everything is going as planned I will go there from 21st june to 3rd july, living with cosmo, sixpeppers and some other dudes I dont know yet. Its going to be massively baller.

quote of the day(from 2+2):

"holy crap who is SakiSakii? crazy lagtarded"

My Luck Is Changing!
   JonnyCosMo, May 15

That's right baby! I had a winning day yesterday and won about $850 in 600 hands so I immediately stopped just to say I had a winning day. Today it started as break even for my first 1000 hands, then randomly at one of my only 4 tables I was told that I got dealt into the milestone hand! ZOMG???? To my surprise I found that I was dealt AK at that table!!! OMG OMG OMG!?!?! I figured it out the other day that if I was to win the milestone hand on a NL200 table I'd net a total of $5500-$6000 (assuming my Supernova bonus). Well here is the hand...

Total pot $700.65 Main pot $563.45. Side pot $134.20. | Rake $3

Seat 6: AH74 (big blind) folded before Flop

As you can see, I didn't win. So rigged. The most hilarious thing is: "Duckslayer2k leaves the table", poor guy thought our table froze and left before the milestone hand was dealt! LOL Total Donkey! Oh well, I lost that $200 stack, but PokerStars depositted $880 to my account just for getting dealt into the hand which is cool, so I netted $660. The actual winner got $2200 because he was a SilverStar. What a waste. Overall I had a winning day so I'm happy, my luck might be changing for the better! WOOOT
