Oh yeah, this is definitely a heater. Haven't had one of these in a LONGGGG time, but the timing is fucking awesome cause I'm in the process of moving up to NL100. Hopefully it lasts long enough to hit 5k, that way I can cash out 1k and still have 40 BI to keep playing NL100.
Here's today's graph... I'm running good in the sense that I get lots of good cards and when I get action they hold up. I'm playing well and not getting my money in bad very often at all, so I'm not sucking out on people. I started out on NL50 and when I realized I was in heater mode (won 3 BI really fast) I started replacing my tables with NL100 ones till I had 8 NL100 going. Won 2 BI there.
I'm not gonna let it get to my head this time - now I know what a serious heater feels like and also know what it's like to break even for long stretches of time. The first 27,000 hands or so of this month were a break even stretch. Check out this month so far - fucking rollercoaster and now I'm on a serious climb.
Funny cause my profit for the month is like $1,200 and as you can see I made all of that in the last 4 days, hahaha.
Need to play more hands though - only ~500 today and it's not enough to get lots of VPP. Luckily I do have the weekend before the month ends so hopefully I can put int 5k hands on fri/sat/sun which should push me over if I play 3k hands during the week, which is definitely possible.
Whew, let's hope it lasts. Usually when I make a blog post about doing well the next session I get destroyed, hehe.
NL10 6max was not very good to me last month and the beginning of this month when I started playing poker again. I realize that I have been spewing on way too many hands by not folding mediocre holdings such as top pair and over pairs, and have begun working on this. I just have to keep telling myself that there will be better spots to get my money in vs. all the clueless at NL10.
Today my cousin challenged me to make $2500 by Christmas, at NL10 this is two buyins per day, which I should easily be able to do if I play a lot. Maybe I'll try to get $5000 if I can beat NL25 for a decent rate just to prove him very wrong
4.7 BB/100 Hands, which could have easily been higher if I played better. As long as I start pressing the fold button more often, It's impossible to lose vs. these people.

I started off this summer blogging a lot, but than took a break from poker and got a job. Lately i've been starting to play again and I really want to move up from the bottom.
So i'm starting at 10nl and will be posting in the low stakes poker forum as i move up. Since i started:
HH's from prima doesn't work atm but I think it went something like me raise in the sb, aggro dude 3-bets and we're deep and I'm annoyed so I call KJo cause I figured it couldn't be that bad (hint: it is) and 4bets doesn't get respect so whatever. Flop ATxss, cheek/check so I figured he had an A, turn something stupid so I bet out my gutshot for no apperent reason, he calls. River completes the flush and is a J so I figured I could be good and whatnot so I check, he bets and I decide to 2.5x him or so and make a 100bb reraise which he snaps of faster then, I dunno, faster then I've ever seen someone call with AQ.
It was pretty impressive. I guess I got really owned.
Also, some total limpretard who couldn't valuebet for shit or do anything remotely close to right sat with like 6bi and I had pos on him for like 3 hours and couldn't take a fucking pot from him. I think I folded once vs him when I had raised his limp but other then that it went he limp, me raise, he check/call with something, I check 2 streets if I had air and bet a couple of streets with hands and the occasional bluff and he managed to have at least TP every damn time.
After 2 weeks of slow dull poker, losing 4BI with sets last night, poker finally gives me a break. It feels so refreshing. Also struck a small coaching deal with Neilly, did a little session last night and it helped me with my postflop play quite a bit with just 1 session so thanks to Neilly and thanks to people on IRC/msn.
Wow, today was brutal. It started the minute I sat down at the tables this morning. I just felt this sick rage building up inside of me for no reason but it didnt bode well. I definitely wasnt 100% focused when I started out at I should have just stayed off the tables completely but meh, I want to play poker.
I lose a couple of pretty brutal pots and continue the august trend of just running really bad and not getting anything going for me. I played about 1k hands on more or less tilt but it was only on 400nl and I was playing against complete retards so I never really considered playing my b+ game to be -ev or anything. I actually quite enjoyed playing with rage, perticulary against one opponent who was really, really bad and won tons of money against me in like 5 min. I was angry but I simulated complete monkey tilt against this guy as good as I could, reraising hands to like 10bbs to a minraise etcetc trying to stir up the action and make him make huge misstakes in bloated pots when deep.
My "monkey tilt" worked out great cause I picked up some hands, unfortunately it all culminated in this hand:
I took about 1k back from him before he left though and I finished the first session down about 3,5k and very unsatisfied.
I sat down again for another session later on and this time I was really focused, controlled and I played really well. Unfortunately I ran like shit, for every buyin I won from making a great bluff, calldown or valuebet I lost one to pure bad luck. At one point I actually felt physicly bad and though I might trow up if I took another beat.
All of a sudden, my hands started holding! I wasnt running perticularily good imo but everytime I got it in good I held and I was just shipping the money left and right. Leaving a session thinking you played great and having results to show for it is an awesome feeling.
I really think I have bumped my A-game up a notch or two and if I only could manage to actually play my A-game more often I will be rich as a rich duck.

Just finished an ok session. It started off bad losing a couple of flips and 75/25's to some shorty donks, whatever. Then I got back winning a stack with a set on a dry-ish board so no praying somebody had a straight or whatever, just hoping they'd call me down. Then within ten hands I lost all back within one hand losing with my top pair good kicker against an open ender getting there on the river from some 65/11 aggrodonk on 100 hands... Whatever, I paid him off on river getting more than 3:1 hoping he was doing something retarded with a top pair worse kicker. Then it just kept floating around the same amount being down a buy-in or a little more and then this happened. I won't spoil it, just read it for yourself, it's pretty awesome.

Yep, that's my first ever, I had 2 straight flushes before on my old database on PT2 I was too lazy to import. Never had a Royal Flush though, a draw sometimes but never hit it obviously. It was pretty cool and I hoped he'd call me down until river just so I could show the entire table, lol.
As you can see though, I didn't win much here because it was a shorty but still it was cool.
Then after 2 hours I decided it was good enough and I'd just pick up the session tomorrow and in my final orbit I won a 60$ 3-way pot with the absolute nuts against some tilted tag and the king of aggrodonks. Almost the entire table was tilted because there was a guy playing 87/52 and having a 3-bet percentage of 55. And if you run as hot as he did, that works. Basically the guy was just raising every pot he entered preflop and was crazy aggro on all kinds of boards. And as it seemed a lot of the other tag's didn't really knew how to cope with it since they got tilted because he was running really good winning flips and making suckouts whenever he did get to showdown.
Anyways, that was it pokerwise, during the day I went to IKEA today and got myself a new chair for at my desk so I can put in longer and more sessions since my old chair tilted me and would hurt my back after 2 hours or so.
Well, that was about it, I just want to say, if any of you microstakers need a good chair to make hours in and don't have the money for an Aeron... This chair is great value for just 200$.

but recently i tilted quite a bit in my last 2 sessions.
I think the main reason for my Tilt was probably that i got bored from my daily routine while having the praktikum.
6.20 am -> ring ring wake up
7.20 am -> drive to work
7.55 am -> arrive at work
8.00 am- 4.30pm do my unpaid work
5.00 pm -> arrive at home
5.10pm - 6pm -> prepare meal and eat dinner + clean up after dinner
6.10pm Finally i have some time to do things i like <3
unfortunately i am too fucking tired from getting up at 6.20am to do anything so i need 1 1/2 hour of nap.
7.30pm -> The funny part of the Day starts
1.) Poker or 2.MMA) 3.) go out with friends a bit
MMA Training is from 8pm-11pm and so i wont be home before 12.00am and i also have to drive straight after my nap to be in time.
SO if i decide to go for MMA my day looks like the following
Work -> MMA -> sleep ( thats all)
if i decide to meet some friends
Work -> 3hours of semi interesting beer consuming at boring places -> sleep
if i poker i still have some more time at home for myself but unfortunately it kinda fails at the socializing part... ( Means i wont have contact to any friends at all the whole day)
Well my mood at the momment is just
" I am bored to shit by this daily routine"
And somehow this puts me on instatilt as soon as i lose a hand...
burned like 500$ the last days due to this.
IN the past i did rarely tilt at all ...
cause i knew i always have time to grind it back whenever i feel like it.

one of my biggest leaks is not being able to get away from overpair AA/KK vs a set. I can just NEVER fold And because i have a crazy aggressive image alot of times people stack off with me with TP.

gonna finally move on to 25nl soon, its long overdue cause i lost bankroll twice pretty much first time on donkament tilt, then second time tilted on 10nl and flipped roll on 400nl. But my bet with Jyang on the mlb all star game (AL luckbox) won me a hundred (or else i would pay him 200 with my lunch money =( so yea last few days has been great and hopefully can run like this all the way to a limit that can sustain a balla life.,

I can't believe it! I've been in a pretty big lull for a while now, about the last 2 weeks. I couldn't break 2k and was constantly up and down between $1,500 and $2,000. Thursday I sat down to play with $1,600 in my BR and today I make this post with $2,400. So things obviously went pretty well finally!
I'm at 36,000 hands for the month and 8,400 VPP. To make platinum star I need 1,600 VPP by the end of the month. I figured if played 45,000 hands @ NL50 I'd make it. I'm not sure if I'll make it or not, it's going to be very close cause I don't think I'm going to have much time before the month ends.
I had a seriously long session last night which ended @ 6am. I took a break near the end and read sniders blog about taking a shot, and it inspired me to play some NL100. My plan is to move up to NL100 with 3k, but I was feeling good and went for it and things went well. Ran into a cooler with KK right away, but made it back and came out with a 1.5 buyin win. I think that once I hit 3k I will go to NL100 full time, but till then I'll warmup on NL50 and take shots if the NL100 tables are good. VPP come a lot quicker @ NL100 so if I move up before the end of the month I should make platinum easily. Once I'm @ NL100 full time I should also maintain platinum until I make supernova. I need 23,300 VPP for supernova and I have 4 months, so I am pretty sure I will make it. But the sooner the better!
