So I played some NL10 for about 300 hands as I was waiting for a friend to come by and chill. I didn't do as bad as I had previously, instead I ended up break even (up $0.15). I'll post some hands for what I think I needed help with.
Some of your probably know me as Failsafe from starcraft. I'm semi-new to lp.net and to poker. I’ve stalked around the forums a bit out of curiosity but I haven’t felt that I was a strong enough poker player to really contribute useful advice. Now that I’m damned to be back in the USA for at least 9 months without any real prospect of leaving, I’ve got nothing to entertain me. So, I’ve decided to adopt poker as serious hobby.
All that said, this seems like a great poker community, and of course it’s very interesting to watch ex-starcraft players continue with their lives. I’m throwing up the blog here to attract some attention and hopefully to entertain a bit. Kunming, China, the city where I studied, and capital of Yunnan Province. As some of you know there was a bus bombing here a month ago. The actual bombing took place on my route to school, and even at the exact time that I would have been travelling. By a huge stroke of running good I happened to have rescheduled my class for an hour later so all I saw was the fallout. 2 were killed and 19 others were injured, however
So I'm back from China, and America is horrible. Auburn, America is boring; the people are boring; the nightlife is boring; my school is boring; food is boring. Where's my fucking MSG? If China taught me anything, it was that real food numbs your mouth at the first bite.
Anyway, so far so good as poker goes. I started playing about a week ago, and aside from a massive tilt episode where I spewed off all my winnings, I feel that I've become a significantly better microstakes grinder. Back in China, I was contemplating poker as an analogy for life while I was high on ecstamethasy and reading high stakes forum threads when I had some (surprisingly) empirically fruitful insights.
My poker level is somewhere around better than NL25 but without sufficient nit-resistance or nit-bashing to really beat NL50 with a satisfying winrate.

Had a really busy day irl today and didn't actually get started til later than planned. I'm planning on making up for it. I'm taking a break right now though as the last 2k hands or so I've been playing kinda crappy. Overall it's still been a good day of making money and buyins tho so can't diss to much.
Think I'm just being pessimistic because I was $4 off from making everything back from yesterday, then I got whacked, dropping me about 4-5 buyins down. I should of never even looked tbh. Every time I've ever looked at PT or the cashier and said I'm going to stop as soon as I make x amount more, I get nailed. You guys learn from my mistake if you can

Note where the graph says $176/day. Basic math says this is exactly what I need to be doing (7.1 buyins a day) so I am exactly where I should be. In fact, I'm 12 hours ahead, and I am going to go back at it. I will post end day results too.

Hey, last proper update post I'd just started playing 50NL. Well I'm continuing to run pretty amazingly and making some good money at 50NL still. My roll has just hit 3k and at 3.5k I'll start taking some well-timed 100NL shots.

Here is my proposal: Coach gets 25% of my winnings, I know of a guy who does this but he is fully booked right now.
About me: I play insane amounts of hands/hours, 3k a day average 4 tabling. I've been stuck at nl10 pretty much since I started, I can beat it but not consistently, but I only feel its inconsistent because I'm always trying to change my game to find out new things to improve my winrate. So basically I'm looking for 1 hour sweating a day or something, maybe less and someone i can throw hands at 24/7 - In return you're getting 25% from a super grinder.
I don't know how well this is gonna go down
EDIT: 2 different ideas for ending the deal - Coach can stop it anytime he wants without warning, when i decide to stop the deal I give 10% of my BR to the coach
OR Coaching lasts untill I have a decent winrate (4ptbb?) at 100nl over a decent sample (25k hands?)

after a long long fuckin time I finnaly had a great session. Ive been playing REALLY bad before specially after school got finished and I traveled. But the past week Ive been doing great
Today I managed to put in a good ## of hands and play really well too.
I obv didnt run bad. But I didn't run exceptionally good either. I lost QQ to AK. QQ to 93o! Lost KK to AA and bla bla. But I obv had a couple of lucky hands as well.

yes i am angry at pokerstars now. i will play the sickest number of hands possible in 1 month and get my milestone, lose half of that to variance again, then just keep playing till the end of the year. im sick of all teh coolers, so im not going to be results oriented anymore, if i dont make a nickel this month, fuck it. im not a terrible player, so i will try teh souless grinder approach to poker and just make studboy my hero lol. here's part of my 10k hands a day goal graph starting earlier today, lots of coolers, but lots of idiots leveling the field too. won so little but at least i didnt lose and tilted and played poorly despite that.

First i want to apologize for not talking to my friends on MSN. I've been insanely busy. This is move in week for my apartment and everyone goes crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Well this year sucks compared to last but it still hasn't stopped my friends and I from getting fucked up. Last night i stayed up until 7 am doing god knows what. Which is suprising because the entire summer i'd wake up at 7am +_+. Tropical storm fay is currently moving through and I feel like i'm in the fucking amazon. Won't stop fucking raining. Hmmm...other news: full week of boxing lessons for the first time in like 2 weeks. Sadly i'm not up to par with where I think I should be so i'm slightly upset with myself about that. I've been doing a lot of thinking and i'm going to tell my coach that I want to take boxing as fun (but still put in the same hard work) and not competitive so that I don't get pissed at myself for fucking up. Jiu Jitsu lessons w/ a purple belt (soon brown) starts sunday. I can't fucking wait. When I started boxing my entire intentions was to jump into Jiu Jitsu and now that I love boxing i'll stick with both (lessons 6/7 days).

So my first day of playing poker in what 4 days? Went alright and now I can do an assortment of things for the night: find a party, drink with friends (or with them at a party), or go hang out with a high school buddy and smoke weed/drink beer/play some h3. I'm leaning towards the h3 as i've been drinking for 3 days straight now.

Thinking about getting lessons some time in the next couple months. I want to further my game and take it to the next level. My goal is to be able to crush nl600+ by the end of the year. (100k hand sample with winrate > 3.5)
