Well, even though I would love to play as much as I can I dont think I will be able to play much in the next 4 month when my school starts. I will be happy if I can just clear the last 4k bonus Ive bought and maybe play a little here and there but my fuckin school schedule is just INSANE. Some days Im from 8am to 9pm str8 at school. some days I come back at 4pm so basically I cant think of a day that I will be able to play poker unless its like a holiday or some thing like that.

Aug has been going great $$ wise but most importantly Ive managed to get on top of my game again after I was struggling since I took a LOOONG break from poker last year because of school schedule. Basically same thing is happening again.

I played as much as I could during AUG and remembered everything that I've learnt 1 year ago and forgot. Now im going to just try to play as much to not to forget the key concepts of playing this game.

I WILL be checking LP on regular basis and read as much as I can but I wont be able to play 24 tables of poker long sessions like I would want to. Not at least till DEC

AUG has been VERY VERY good.
Mainly because now I know exactly what Ive been doing wrong the past freaking 3-4month before AUG. I wasnt really down. But I have to say Not that Ive realized where my mistakes have been I am totally destroying the 200nl FR games. I wish I realized that sooner but Im happy it happened anyway.

Cant seem to find the will to play poker much lately. I spent the last two months playing a large amount of tournies (at least for me) and ive decided FUCK TOURNIES. When i stop seeing my AK lose to AQ i may decide otherwise, but for now im going to lay off them.
I also jumped up stakes a little bit out of my br for some reason. I played fewer tables and it seemed to help with my motivation somewhat, but i still found myself logging off of ps pretty quick regardless of whether i was up or down.
Instead of playing poker, i have found myself obsessed with this mobster game on myspace lolz. I have no idea why the fuck i continue to waste any fucking time playing it, but i just cant fucking stop. i need helps.
On a side note, i went to morongo a few weeks ago for the weekend with syntax, nightless, and devildog and that was pretty cool. Now it has me thinking of playing live poker a little more, especially since a couple of my friends have finally turned 21 and now we dont have to worry about them getting kicked out of a legit casino.

Sup, it's been a long while since I posted, but I'm trying to get myself more motivated and do a small write up after every day / significant session. I haven't been playing poker much at all, cashing out 3k in the past 6 months and maybe playing like 5 - 10k hands per month. Which leaves me with a 5.5k BR.

Main reasons for not playing poker are spending alot of time with girl(friend)s, but I'm single now so hopefully for poker I can keep that up . Also been mainly partying and hanging out ALOT, and I really feel like I should do some serious stuff again. So I started rowing again on a high level (training around 8 times a week) and study more. And obviously going to try to become a NL400 6max regular finally and not run bad / crumble under pressure / tilt while moving up.

So, here are my goals:

- Play FR with minumum of 20 buyins, 6max minimum 30 buyins, HU minimum 40 buyins.
- Update blog
- Don't cash out till next July
- Play 20k + hands per month

Shouldn't be too hard to keep this up, FR has always been good to me, so starting with that till I hit like 7k. Then just choose FR / 6max NL200 whatever I feel like playing. And occasionaly play 1 - 2 tables HU, which I really enjoy and seem to be a good winner in it (sample of like 10k hands so maybe just a good run).

Anyway, to start off my good goals, here is the first small FR session I just played.

wow, it's over 2 weeks since my last blog post, but many things have changes since then.

day after it i felt in love in gorgeous girl i knew from high school, and we've been spending tons of time together, luckily she feels about me in the same way, good life!

but about poker, i had a bad run, for a few days i was losing money on nl50, and even nl25..
but after a few days i run normal, play nl50 for a short time, get my money back, and today i wanted to play nl100 again...
epic fail;/

it started ok winnig a buy-in wheh hiting top set against a donk, who pushed with 3rd pair...
but after it -6bi in 600hands
i played horrible, and maybe had a little lack of luck, advices are welcome

are these hands 100% standard at this stakes vs decent 22/18 and 26/20 regulars? according to positions, and fact that i 3bet them quite a lot? is losing pots like these just standard, or a leak?

33/30 when he called pf i put him on sth big, is check/raising turn good here? i did this, cause from range i put him oryginaly on (Ajs+, Aqo+, tt+) qq is now muche less likely, so im beat by aq, which i still have decent outs against, and tt which i suck against, but by checking i feel like im giving him chance to bluff scary turn, is this way of thinking good? i didn't know he do spews pf, i know him from nl50, where his stats were tighter, and i thought he is rather abc player

i can't understand this, is there so much difference between nl50 and 100 that i can't beat it, or is it just in my head, that i can't play good poker at nl100?

I'm fairly happy with my NL10 results since I started playing seriously about August 22nd :D. Although I only ran at 4.5BB/100 this can be attributed to many many spews that I am well aware of and can definitely fix in the future. I am going to move up to NL25 very soon but I will definitely study poker a little more before playing.

August hasnt been great. I was making a sweet recovery but jesus wanted diffrent and I dropped like 8k over the weekend. I have been playing very sloppy and unfocused so I deserve poor results.

As always after a crappy weekend I turn to the big sunday donkaments for comfort, hoping that this week I might score big. I ran superwell in the sunday million, at one point I was pretty much dead after this nasty hand:

Fortunately I shipped in 67s the hand after that one and got it in against two ppl who both held JJ. I rivered the flush and got back into the game. I ran well, mostly in table draws. I spend quite alot of time on tables where I could just run over ppl completely and build a huge stack. After building a healthy stack I proceeded to run superhot catching AA against KK, sucking out on AA with KK etcetc.

With 12 or something left I am chipleader and I start glancing at the top 3 payouts getting a little excited. I fail with a couple of steals but still have a healthy stack and this happens:

I have no idea what this guy is doing shoving 7 mill with AQ but its 6-handed and I have JJ ffs. Cant fold obv it just sucks that I had to put my donkament life on the line in a flip when I felt the remainder of the players where pretty bad. Then again, if I win that flip Im in suuuuuch good shape to completely pwn the donkament and just rape the final table.

Right now I feel disapointed but as soon as it sinks in I think I will be glad that I atleast made 7,5k. After dropping 4k in ftops im now up 3,5k in donkaments so with rakeback I suppose Im booking a 6k month.

Not really excited about that result obv but as I said previously, I dont think I deserve anything more with the way I have been playing in cashgames.

School starts in a few hours and I cant really say I am excited at all. It was sweet to meet up with friends but fuck, I dont really feel like studying at all.

I have been thinking ALOT about dropping out and I still havent decided what to do.

Pros with studying:

I my classmates alot, hanging out with them is sweet and school isnt all to hard most of the time.

Gives me some sort of structure in life.

Getting an exam is a good thing.

cons:

I hate 90% of my courses. This shit doesnt interest me and I feel like im not learning shit.

I really dont want to work as a journalist ever, ever.

School is interfering with my poker career. I loose focus and generally I have in the past done very poorly in poker during the terms.

So I finally found out where all my EV goes from pots like the two below:

This Saturday, while I was busy losing hands like the two above at my ring games and running pairs into overpairs, something else was going down. At my $55 daily 80k table I won QQ vs JJ, QQ vs AK, then AK vs QQ, then 33 vs KQ vs AT, then A4 vs KJ... I knew something was up right after QQ vs JJ: I never win those. 7 hours later only 3 of us remained at the final table with roughly same chip stacks. We chopped, and Stars shipped me 11.7k.

I don't really play too many tourneys, but the ones I do play have generally been good to me. After 58 instances of this particular tournament played over the course of the past year, this is my 2nd FT in it. The previous time I ended up finishing 5th for 3.2k (it was still daily 50k rather than 80, so the tourney tended to be smaller).

Combined with my pathetic running in cash games, August rounded off to about 15k, which makes for a nice present for my September 3rd birthday.

Next month I am looking forward to the big WCOOP events. Will definitely play the $530 NLHE and will put some effort into satelliting into the $1050 NLHE event, hopefully using FPPs. I will also throw down $100-$200 on a bunch of main event Step 1s. I tend to do better in MTT format satellites, but I want to see how a decent sample of steps goes. At $7.50 a pop, I'll probably play 25 or so of them to see if I like that format.

More importantly, I need to get over my bad streak in cash games. I thank everyone that has offered advice of winning flips and ritual sacrifice. Apparently, it worked. Now I just need to refine my technique as to make it apply to ring games as well.

Hi all
Didnt played last week, becouse I was reading a lot about money and investments. Very interesting stuff. I think Im gonna put 2.5K in some bussiness with 5% monthly returns.
Then last 2 days I played PLO400 becouse I was kinda bored of the low numbers and god, that was a good decision. The adrenaline of the bigger numbers made me feel liver

Hi all,
So after a decent start to August, the last half of the month has been extremely frustrating. After doing quite well at NL100 in the first half of August, I decided to take a shot at NL200, which didnt go so well. Didnt matter though, I brushed it off and jumped back into the NL100 games, hoping to grind my roll back up to take another shot towards the end of August. Well unfortunately that didnt happen, thanks to a 24k hand breakeven run

Lots of coolers/bad beats, but I think I played pretty well for the most part. It's given me a chance to work on my game, and I think I'm playing better now than I was at the start of the month. Disappointing not being able to see any results $ wise, but nothing much you can do.

Overall not a terrible month, but could definitely be better. Hopefully I can regain some form and get my roll to a point where I'm comfortable taking another shot at NL200.

Where!

so i ran 20$ to 1k this week and am back at my favorite game, nl50 6max

still have alot of improvement to do on my 6max game after the long haul of hu and mtt's.

I should be back to my 6max form sometime this week, and hopefully catch a heater soon.

3 days of breakeven poker just doesn't cut it!
