My wife works at a local store, it's like a gas station without the gas part...anyways about 8pm tonight a guy walked in and asked for the money in the register. Apparently he was very polite about it so she offered to open the other 2 cash registers as well for him and as trained managed to offer him a cookie which he gladly accepted then promptly left the store. At the end of her shift she received a call from her manager stating that she was fired. So in celebration we're having a few drinks and rocking out to In Flames.
Sooo my last update was when i was in vegas but since then i just have done so much shit that i havn't been bothered to blog about it at all.
Went to Vegas for 2 weeks, was fun. Lost about $260 playing 1/2 at MGM mostly but im really happy since i ran so unreal bad that cutting my losses to just over a buyin is really nice. Vegas itself is really cool place and i definitely would like to go back there, would like to go with mates though since American girls seem to think i'm like way more attractive than i actually am just becuase of my accent so its total win.

Which was nice since i was not able to get a summer job so i'd have been pretty much broke without this, since nl25 has been going relatively shit, much variance etc.
Recently in september its been going better so hopefully that will continue, graph is kinda ugh.
Also went to reading festival which was really good, rage against the machine were insanely good and i would have paid the full weekend price JUST to see them for sure.

After almost a month of questionable swings I finally got things kicking better on ipoker. I'm in a really better mindset for playing and focusing much more on individual situation, not just pressing button. I'm having good times outside of poker, anyway I'll post another blog soon enough to describe better what and how I'm doing.
Had a great 3 table 6max session, but quit when things started falling apart but i was still up considerably. I went to the Kimball Art Museum in Ft. Worth saturday to view some paintings and sculptures. I have to right a 6 page paper on a painting and i chose The Cardsharps by Caravaggio.

I had my first game of the Old Mans League... Pitched well, but gave up 4 runs in 3 innings... we lost 4-3. There was like 4 errors made so my ERA should be low. I went 1-2 with a 2 RBI single up the middle in the last inning. Almost had a comeback.
Then i took a nap. Now i'm doing laundry and about to play Raquetteball.
Unfortunately, lately I haven't been too consistent with my updates, and with poker in general. This month I am going to try and fix that. So far this month has been extremely hectic. Between school, the fraternity, girls, and poker, I have been really busy. So far its been a decent month though.
School started the end of August. I am taking 18 credit hours, and have switched my major to Psychology & Criminal Justice, with a "minor" in Real Estate. Its not specifically a minor in Real Estate so to speak, but rather a series of classes that will allow you to receive accreditation if you pass the state examination. Psychology and Criminal Justice are two of the better majors to help me get into/succeed in law school. This semester is going to be tough, but school has always come fairly easy to me so i'm not too worried.
The fraternity has been pretty bleh so far. The end of august we had Week of Welcome here, in which we through a series of parties from Wednesday to Saturday. It was pretty sick, but unfortunately I couldn't drink since I was on Risk Management due to my position in the fraternity. Everyone had a great time from what I could tell, and we have some pretty cool guys interested in pledging. Were hoping for a pretty big pledge class this semester, 15-20 guys. Hopefully we'll succeed in that. Ive been really busy trying to get everyone's grades and assign study hours and figure out dates we'll be having study tables for the dunces that don't like to make grades. Being Director of Academic Affairs kind of sucks since I sort of have to punish people for not making grades, and some of those people are my good friends. Its for their best interests so I suppose I shouldn't feel too bad about it. Overall this semester should be pretty awesome.
Ive met a ton of new girls so far, which is awesome since I decided to break things off with the girl I was seeing throughout most of the summer(smart eh?). My "main bitch" so to speak is pretty cool so far, since she just broke up with her boyfriend of 2 1/2 years that just moved to Kent to be by her lol. She is a pretty awesome girl though, we'll see what happens.
Lastly, poker. This month poker has been going considerably well. I am up $900 and change at 25NL-100NL. Most of my play/winnings is from 50NL though. I think I am really starting to get the hang of poker again. I have made quite a bit from complete retards this month(more than I can ever remember). I have never had so many people just completely bluff off entire buyins drawing dead or near dead. I don't want to reveal my stats since information is pretty fragile these days(I know that sounds dumb since these are low stakes, but I do feel its for the best). I am hoping to make ~15 more buyins at 50NL before I start taking shots at 100NL. My goal is to get in 40k hands this month and at least make goldstar(not sure if 40k hands with mostly 50NL and shots at 100NL will get me platinum. Hopefully I continue the run good

Actually, heres a pretty funny story..
So, during our Week of Welcome, we had tons of people here. One of our fraternity brothers is a hockey player for Kent, Hot Carl(I'm sure ill have a ton of funny stories to tell about him throughout the year). Well he came over with the hockey players for the parties. So we're outside on the front porch and this fine ass girl is walking up with a guy. D-Lo, one of the hockey players, says to the girl "damn youre cute". Shes smiles and is like "thanks". Then D-lo proceeds to say "so who is this guy with you, is he your boyfriend?" She kinda mumbles and stutters and is like "well... sort of but not really.. i mean...", you get the picture. The guy thats with her then says he is in fact her boyfriend. D-Lo smiles and says "Hi, my name is D-Lo, you wanna upgrade?". Dude looked sooooooooooooo pissed. Needless to say, D-Lo's charm worked and he ended up piping her that night.

So I got back up to Seattle this week after spending the summer in Italy and then visiting my parents for a few weeks. It's great having two monitors to play on again, and I've been trying to log a lot of hands at NL 200. I feel like that I have been playing well this summer, and already cashed out enough to pay all my school related/party related expenses for the coming year, in part thanks to a nice 3.4k tourney score while still leaving me decently rolled for NL 200 (almost 40 buyins).
Played the first WCOOP event and cashed for $375. Thought I played very well considering this is my first tournament >200 dollar Buy in, and only had all my chips at risk twice do to being able to bully without risking my stack. I did draw a bad last table, had some VERY aggro guys and really had to sit and wait for a hand.

I was C/R all in on a J or K board as well, so I couldn't feel too bad. Had a one big misstep in which i lost half my stack, but was able to recover almost immediately with AQ holding up against T7ss.
I really liked how i played this hand actually, as id seen him coldcall before, and his range was AK,AQ, and 77-QQ. When nearly pots the flop i know its not a set, and not a missed AK-AQ, meaning TT-QQ; more likely TT-JJ as i thought there was a chance he would 4bet QQ. I feel the flop call might make the sb do something crazy, as i know i have NO fold equity versus the bettor. I figure any Q or K i shove as I really think he will have a difficult time calling then with TT or JJ, and if he does i still have some good outs. Any club or A i'll attempt to extract do to his nittiness. As it turns out, i ran into QQ, but I still think i played it very well. Comment up if you think otherwise, but this was a very player-dependent move.

So this morning felt really confident about my game again, i finally managed to actually win some money over past few weeks, had a good br for 400nl, cashout some for living, hit a brutual day and lost confidence emediatly. Today ran really shitty, i shouldn't even came back in the evening to play. The morning was horrible i was down 1200$ after 60-70hands, i tried to grind some back, failed more. In the evening came back motivated again, ran quite good in the begining of the session, then got sucked out by same (60/12) donk twice and some more ugly hands.......... and from a + 1200 it turned into -1200$, totally lost around 4K today.
poker sucks again and i am very discouraged again... it's funny how long weeks of hard work can be fucked up by just 1 day.
from now i will set a stop lose of 4bi a day, that's it i have had enough stress from this stupid game.
And the funniest thing is that i never make a blog post about me running good, just because i don't feel right to be braging about my wins and i am afraid to be instantly jinxed. w/e leaving with shitty br again with 0 motivation to grind this game again
Hm 5k hands so far and winrate of 2.10bb / 100 . Well still a really small sample and didn't run particularly well.

Started session with 2 coolers (AKs vs AA, got it in on Axx flop and some other hand), so went -400$, then got it up to +150$ finally after like 1500 hands, then lost concentration and fucked up some hands, thus ending down 200$. Blugh, probably gonna do some handreading, but I still think its just a bit of a tough run.
Also, I'm pretty sure Malmis tried to sleep in my bathtube. And I might've accidentally cockblocked Pinball. However, I think I also might've saved him from at least a couple of STD's at the same time, so w/e.
