| Omaha is gay by DustySwedeDude, February 04
People is really, really trying to give me money but they just can't seem to succeed. Down like 12k or something for the month so I'll just change back to NL I guess. I've found a couple of new leaks I have in omaha, I think, but overall I've just been running like absolute crap. Only thing that seems to hold is crapy AA's pf, other then that I think I've lost the most with mid set (vs TP + gutshots and such monsters) and dominating wraps (funny how the low end always seems to hit). And when I lose money while getting it in ahead it's bad.
Overall I feel crappy. Might be the weather or lack of excersize (I'll start again in a week or two). Pretty sure it's not the downswing since I felt like shit even before I started losing. The good part is that I'm getting used to this. Downswings still affect me a bit, but it's not that bad. I know they'll come like 10 times a year, it's a natural law. Today I tilted a bit so I feel annoyed and doubt myself, but mostly I'm self assure enough to know that I'm a winner and will bounce back pretty soon. The only difference is that I'll have to win a bit more next month. Right now I'm like 2k after schedule for the year, but that's just normal.
The good news is that I actually feel semi-motivated for some paper I'll have to turn in in April. The teacher who talked about it was really, really easy going and fun and made it feel like a good idea. I swear to God, if you're happy you'll get older. She's looking like 10 years younger then she apparently is, despite what I can only assume is a reasonably unhealthy life style. Or she might just be faking it.
Now I'll go get some blue berries (or something else, in case it'd look too much like Jamie Gold) out of the freezer and watch Sex and the City with my sister.

May quit poker soon, no point playing a game where luck is involved. I could be the best low-limit grinder in the world, and still lose money.
Retards are supposed to be losers at the cash tables, yet i get sucked out on time and time again.
I feel im only winning by bluffing or RE-suckingout.
I'll decide at the end of the month.

| not my day by PplusAD, February 04
Yeha ... really not my day = - 7 BI in 1,3K hands HU Nl100
I could have avoided some ...
but not much.
ALways when i had something villian had outfloped or outsucked me on turn ...
Month profit ~ close to zero
i should have learned from casmirodaza though ...
guy is the biggest winner at Nl100 HU stars ...
hes up 16 K the last 3 month ...
Hes not really good though
he just avoids playing people he sees no edge on ...
I could have saved 3 BI if i didnt 2 table regs when running bad...
Not that i think they were better than me ...
but its not good when u run bad and play vs people ure edge is maybe only 55%
rest i lost was ridiculous coolers vs fish ...
Edit
- 10 BI
Lol i simply cant quit
thats the fucking worst problem of my poker carreer

| Fishy Fish by LemOn[5thF], February 04
Hey guys,
I changed from Starcraft and facebook poker to the real thing. So far I found out why all the starcraft players are so successfull at poker - hours of training, strategy forums and lots of theorycrafting before the actual game and the mixture of the two are very in both games.
But my macro suddenly doesn't make a total outsider out of me anymore and I actually believe I have a chance to get some more benefits than fun out of gaming.
Anyway, my questions are:
Bankroll: In Micro stakes 0.01/0.02 NL, how much should I buy in for?
I play 2-3 tables and usually stick with the $1, but the majority of people have $2-$5 when they come in.
My bankroll is ~ $48 atm. Should I move up the stakes or buy-in on 0.01/0.02 tables for $2, or keep playing the same stakes with $1?.
I play poker for 5 days, went down to $30 from $50 starting bonus on Poker Room School playing SitnGoes to get to CDPoker (as PRS cash tables were down all the time) and made it up to $46 in one day on NL 0.01/0.02.
I play 2-3 tables because I took the LP beginners advice to play extra tight/aggresive style and when I raise 3x min with good hand, others almost always fold so I actually play only very few hands.
Could you answer my questions and comment on what I am doing right or wrong?

| Looking for Stake by night_front, February 04
Hello everyone,
I know most of you probably don't know me, but I've been a troll/lurker/infrequent poster here for a few years now. I'll start off with a small bit of my background. My name is Ed and I'm a 21 year-old college student from New Jersey. I started playing poker about 5 years ago when I was in high school. My online history is very mediocre, capped off by a bronze freeroll win for $1500 on FTP in the summer of 07 after grinding 10nl fr all summer (lol). I have never really been able to build a bankroll because every time I get a somewhat substantial amount of money built up, I have to cash out to pay for real life stuff (which is the reason for my current lack of a roll). I've never seriously played over 100nl and have mostly played 25 and 50nl 6max for the past year (when I have money).
Most recently I was staked by my roommate, who some of you may know from LP, Shaw67193. This started in November and went to early January. Mostly played 25nl 6m with some 50nl towards the end.

I know I'm slightly too nitty but I've been trying to work on that.
Hopefully if I can get someone to help me out with a stake, I'll be able to actually build up a bankroll this time =] Thanks for reading this far if you've gotten through all this.
If you are interested or even just want to talk , send me a PM.
-Ed

I would like to unblock the moneybooker withdraw method on Pokerstars.
To do it i need to make a minimum deposit of 10$ on Pokerstars by using moneybooker.
So i'm looking for someone who can send me 13$ on my moneybooker account and i send 13$ on his Pokerstars account.
Of course i send first to a "known" (i mean not 1 post, or completly new) LP member.

| First 10k hands @ NL by EXCELED, February 04
I made the switch to NL about half way through January. Best choice ive made in a while. Its going pretty great right now but I do think Im running a bit hott. Heres the graph so far:
http://i427.photobucket.com/albums/pp360/mbs03/10knl.jpg
I guess you could say Im playing a pretty TAG style but Ive been watching a lot of DC videos and mixing it up a good amount and using my table image to my advantage. I find that with my TAG style Im able to squeeze quite a bit and people are giving me a lot more credit then they should so theres one area I can exploit these players in.
I find that I am having trouble dealing with donk bets on hands where I miss the flop or hit but not real big yea know? If I open raise and then get donked into on a dry board what is the best play? Calling makes him probably think you missed and a re-raise could get you into trouble? I hate to just fold a big hand because of a donk bet but sometimes I really just dont know what to do and end up mucking. Ill try to look for a few hands where Im not sure what the best line is because of a donk bet.
Im pretty much rolled for NL10 so Im going to start taking some shots at it. I really am going to be a bankroll nit even though I know I can easily beat these games... better safe then sorry. I havent really been in a lot of tricky situations in these games other then those donk bets I just talked about.
Here are some shitty hands
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=624468
Maybe Im betting to small or something... If I shipped he would have called because he was such a big fish. Nothing I can really do here.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=624472
Set over set. Standard. To bad I was on the wrong end of this one.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=624478
Got in here as a favorite... I think its like 60/40 here. He gets there.
http://www.liquidpoker.net/hand/hand.php?hand=624483
Thew up after this one. cooooooler
Ive played a bit of PLO the last couple of weeks too. Id say Im break even though... not really much progress. The game is just variance city and Im not one for taking big swings so Im going to try and stay away from that game unless its HU. Love HU PLO. To bad at low stakes its hard to get a table longer then 10 minutes before a 3rd joins. Im definitly going to check out some PLO vids though just because in the long run its definitly worth learning this game.
Anyways Ive grinided 1k hands today already so Im going to take a little break, make a nice lunch then get back at it again. I reaaaaaaaly want tto clear that bonus today so thats the goal for the day you could say. I dont have much stuff to do the trest of the week so Im really going to get on the grind and start smoking NL10 lol.
Later guys.

| [Nl25] Day 9 by Uptown, February 04
Fell short of my goal of 5000 hands, but I couldn't continue after my brain started melting and ran into the following hands.
Last 2 hands of the day:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/624194
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/624195
Why do I always end the day with this retarded shit
Oh w/e, I'm running above EV according to HEM, and grinded out a v.good bb/100 in the end.
Conclusion: Slow tables > Fast tables for me atm.

Been trying to be like 30/25 from BTN and 25/20 from CO, but I'm failing hard
Should I keep trying to loosen up late, or stick to what's working so far for me?
10bi's away from giving a NL50 shot a go.

| What to do by deahttubb, February 03
Nearly broke on FTP, playing NL10 after cashing out for school and I am down to 3 buy ins.
After hearing about the rake on FTP at this limit I was wondering if I should switch to Stars and Work my way up or keep playing on FTP after my attempt to rebuild.
Thanks
