I've been messing around with NLHE for a couple of months, spending a good bit of time on the PS play money tables and reading all the relevant books I could get my hands on. I have just started NL2 and would really appreciate advice on the following:
Should I play FR exclusively or commit time to 6handed and HU tables as well? Are SnGs worthwhile at this level?
Is four-tabling decent for learning the game?
Is it appropriate to limp into an unraised pot with:
-77-22 from all positions?
-suited connectors JTs and lower from CO/button?
-AJo and ATo from CO/button? Other positions?
-A9s-A2s from CO/button? Other positions?
I saw this video for the first time immediately before the links I made in those two blog posts to here

Well I was sick for a good 3 weeks, and then had tons of school work to do. Now I'm back to grinding but I haven't had the chance to grind up some of the entry fees for the SCOOP PLO tournaments.
So I'm making this post to ask if anyone felt like staking me/buying a significant amount of my action in the PLO215[1R+1A] 200k guaranteed. The link below is to my OPR stats. Not a large sample but I'm quite confident I'm a +EV investment in this tourney.
I played in the SCOOP Events 1 and 4, only the low variants. I loved the structure of the $5R, and i finished in around 1500th out of 27000 for like $60 which was ok, but a little disappointing, considering it took like 7 hours to get to that spot and I had an above-average stack for the majority of the tournament. Here is my planned schedule for SCOOP:
Event 5: Low and Medium
Event 8: Low and Medium
Event 10: Low and Medium
Event 17: Low
Event 21: Low
Main Event: Low
Hopefully I can run good in one of these and give my bankroll a welcome boost
gl to everyone else playing any SCOOP events,
Dean
Well, at least in a way. My company is running a bit poor and gave everyone the chance to take one day a week off and still get 35% pay. I obviously jumped in joy and took Mondays off. This will let me play late on Sundays and focus on played hands, watching some video etc on Mondays. I will do this until the end on June and hopefully improve my game by a lot.
I have played poker for maybe 3 years but the number of hands total is what some people here play every month. This month is actually the most hands I have ever played since I started. I moved to Full Tilt from a Swedish site and so far I really like the software and rakeback but the players are actually a bit better.
Total result including rakeback and bonuses: +$950
put in some decent hands so far this month, probably because i've got 3 pieces of work due in this coming week and im playing poker since its a more fun alternative to the work... sigh.
Anyway been moving up to nl50, first day good second day bad and had to move back down to nl25, started well and moved back up and had a nice day. Shud play more PL50 apparantly tho haha, keep joinign those tables by mistake and then not noticing till im involved in a hand!
I need some stars for ftp money. It is not a problem to transfer 1st,only to respected members though.Up to 4k $.Pls respond quickly if possible I need them for today
Life-tilt and poker-tilt....by MasterofLaw, April 04
Did a stupid thing yesterday...started drinking and playing poker with some friends after a really massive week of work....
Damn I got drunk and totally tilted. This one guy played his first livesession with some kinda stakes, and god damn he ran good. My tilt based on bad cards and some huge suckouts... He hit set 3times on river with 2-3overcards on flop, and 2 gutshotstraights.
After that I played some online, didnt go so well and with my body full of wine I took a decision that I earlier on the day had decided to take nexth month. However, I withdraw my BR from partypoker (only slightly bigger than at deposit because of some losses yesterday..lol)to play att Redbet instead with a rakeback of 60%. Will be some adjustment to the smaller playerbase over there. I guess most of them will be some kinda regs, but if I continue to play as I have done last month i think i will be a pretty winning player with the rb.
Now I'm gonna go till Uppsala for a reunion with some friends my lawschool time.
i just need to whine. for like the 10th time i go super deep in the $3 rebuy, softest tourney in the whole internet (you know nothing if you disagree) and once again, pokerstars says NO FINAL TABLE TODAY

i know he has a flush draw, i smack the fuckin chips in before he gets there but theres a joker on the river obviously
that would put me as massive chipleader
i hate you liquidpoker and you freakin luckboxes who win tournaments all the time and post it on Tournament Performance of the Week and i cant fuckin get a LITTLE lucky one time and win thousands of dollars
hey all I'm pretty new to the site and thought i would share a few stories of my great to very fast sad online stories realy fast..lol
I started playing on full tilt about 3 years ago..put on 50 bucks and thougth i would give it a whirl. I went to atlantic city 2 days before this for my 21st birthday and won 1500 bucks on 1/2 dollar nl tables in just 2 days and was feeling real good about my play.
Well after just a few weeks online I took that 50 bucks and turned it into 8000 dollars in 28 days. Played a bunch of heads up and won my first four 500 dollar heads ups that i played and was pretty much having unstoppable nights. It was a great feeling...well...for a short time.
I must admit that i was playing out of my bankroll the entire time, thats how i got 50 bucks up to 8000 so fast...but hey..it was working!...until i ran into a guy online that changed everything for me......
I played this one guy in a 500 dollar heads up and i had AA vs his AK..we are all in preflop..and BAM..he rivers the straight for the victory..thats when it all started..and i then lost 5 straight 500 dollar heads up to him.what made it worse is that about 75 percent of the time i was all in with the best of it on the flop but shit happens. I had my first negative nigth and sadly it was about 3000 bucks worth. I had a few bad runs and before i knew it i was playing 5 dollar heads up with the last of my money. Granted, I cashed 2k out and paid some bills but it suuuuuuure did suck losing all that. Ever since that time i have had some real good nights on stars..and reeeeal bad nights..but im stuck now just scrambling a few bucks together to deposit 10 bucks or so online to play with.
I have had a couple great nights...made .80 cents into 500 bucks once...won a 70 fpp table..cashed in the ticket for 10 bucks..and made that into 1000. But nothing was like that run 3 years ago when I put that first 50 online and in a short 28 days turned it into 8000k....
Let that be a lesson to everyone to play good bankroll structure...cause I can only amagine what I could do right now if I had that kind of roll online.....
Feel free to sharkscope me..im xx frankie on fulltilt and pokerstars
drop me a line if ya want..gl to all on the tables!
Just wanted to post that April is going kinda good, was already up like 230$ then I decided to play a small session before going to sleep.
That was the worst decision I ever made I guess. I seriously never had so many bad beats within such a short time span. I was on a table where a guy sat that went allin every hand, I called him 4 times, 3 times being a huge favourite, 1 time a coinflip, and lost ALL of it. Meanwhile on the other tables, my Aces would get cracked constantly and my sets ran into flushes on river etc. This all happened within 20 minutes or something, I think I never saw money burnt this fast. 7 BI lost in 500 hands... wow
Seriously it never ceases to amaze me what a fucking joke this game is.
On a sidenote, I contacted my ex-gf(Aletta Ocean lookalike) today again. She doesn't have a boyfriend, yeehaw. Gonna meet her next week, I'm definately attacking again. Maybe I'll post some pics tomorrow if anyone of you wants to see.
And now, FML, off to sleep, if I will be able to.
Oh and lol, this never gets boring for me hahahaha.

I love Fridays so, so much. In March alone I was up like 6-8k on Fridays. The amount of donks and shit is just ridiculous and I always do really well on those days. Today I had my best cash game day ever, +4.2k . Unfortunately I got raped in SCOOP 3 and some small FTP tourneys but whatever, this was a good day.
