Up to this day, this is something i really don't understand. This month, I've had some pretty decent 7 to 10bi days, but since i never stop on a win and got nothing to do, i keep playing (coz im playing well enough to go on) and it seems the cards even out the same session and i have days this month where i shouldve won 6bi and because im such a greedy mofo i end up breaking even sometimes, or worse, down by less a buyin. I've always believed that ur results now will be the same tomorrow , and by that i mean u exactly get the same number of situations where its hard to let go and lose it anyway. my question is, will cards/luck change if u continuously stop on a winning session? or are you doomed to swing the ff day regardless? if it means that the rng is completely random, then i guess stopping regardless if ur playing good and cards are starting to "even out" huh? i think i should have made about 40bi so far this month had i stopped and rng resets and just coinflips my luck the ff day, so now im thinking of just playing and stopping at say 5 to 6bi regardless of how good im playing, if cards start to suck, just quit? its retarded obv but i just want some inputs from other ppl, coz tokeweed used to believe its better to "avoid" variance and sometimes i think he's right haha.

im asking all this coz im kinda "forced" to grind more hands than regular coz of some fpp/milestone goals, im starting to think it aint worth it if i continuously lose my winnings just coz i play a lot more than i should.
Last weekend I totally was into quitting poker for a loooong time after some sessions from hell. I mainly play my A-game live but last couple of weeks I have lost, for me, huge amounts, ending with no profit left from LAST YEAR or even worse that I might be some bucks down in a one year period.
However, I have kept playing online, not so much, but some hands everyday this week. Have managed to turn a -224$ result into a -27 since sunday evening and I feel I play pretty well. With the RB for this month I think I will be up a couple ob BI:s, the RB should be about 130E at the moment but I have plans to make it 150-200 for the month.
Tomorrow I'll join the Uppsala-boys, Dusty,Remember87, Rednalluk and some more to celebrate that they've managed to hand in an essay,,,yaay. Wake up boys, in two years when you're in the real world you have to accomplish that in max 1day, not 3.5months ;-)
I'd like to import graph but unfortunately im playing @ Luckyacepoker and started Poker Host as well.. This is seriously my worse month 12 days in a row losing losing losing losing and it won't stop. started up 3k and now im down 2.7k ? SWEEEET oh well NL400 will wait a lil bit i guess. Does it ever happen to anyone to just feel like ur hand will never win? XD like u just CANT win? i just dont know =x how to get through this gay feeling :/ so i just get depressed as i play T_T and obviously become scared money etc.

1.The Internet.
Verizon. I’m highlighting this word because they suck. So if you aren’t a type to read a blog, know this and don’t use their service. Ever.
Well, it’s some time after 14th now and apparently there is no internet still. Someone somewhere made some sort of mistake which somehow caused something to happen that I still don’t have it. That’s what they tell me. Not only do I have to suffer through incomprehensible Indian accented-English, but even if I did understand what they said there still would be no answer. I spent about 5 hours on the phone between today and yesterday trying to find out what’s going on. They kept throwing me around departments and giving me a wide variety of excuses over and over, repeating and opposing themselves. The final answer (at least what I set out to be a final answer) is that it will be on tomorrow after 6pm. Which is coincidently the time their support stops working (a major company without a 24-hour support?). The problem is I’ve heard that answer before.
I also requested a new DSL modem which the y sent to my old apartment, took it back and never sent it to my new address. When I called them yesterday they said they already did and it will arrive today. Today however, it’s another 48 hours.
Not to mention their internet breaks up more often than a dial up. Which I am using now and 48k aside it is not too bad. I guess anything that works is not too bad in comparison.
2.The Apartment
I still haven’t taken any pictures of neither the apartment nor the view. I’ve find my camera but the battery charger is still lost (there is still a room worth of unpacked stuff lying around here). The battery is a unique square like thingy so any grocery store bought Durasill just wont do.
It feels really weird to live on 21st floor. Sure the view is nice but I am quiet afraid of heights. The highest I’ve lived so far is 4th floor, and that’s at most will break your legs, and given my judo background I have this faith I will be able to do a proper roll to a safe landing. Not that I am even sure a roll is a proper way to land from 16 meters or so. When I’m in the apartment it just feels like there is this empty space under my feet. I don’t know. Not a comforting feeling. And the wind, the wind at this elevation is quiet insane, it wails and screams, threatening to knock the walls and the windows down. Once it was banging so hard I woke up thinking the house was crumbling.
Also ever since we moved here I just can’t fall asleep. I don’t know what that is but I just can’t. I even tried sleeping pills, which usually were spot on if my schedule ever got fucked. Its quiet hard to live a healthy lifestyle with playing poker at peak hours and going to gym and all that when you aren’t even getting 8 hours of sleep.
3.Poker
Well I’ve been playing some poker even without the internet. Whether it was stealing from the neighbors, using dial up or college lab rooms I’ve got some hands in. Got 2nd in a 1 dollar rebuy on FTP which is my biggest tournament success, for I guess about 250$? Been playing some tourneys since then cos I want to play in MiniFTOPS, with it being a +EV endeavor and not just me luckboxing stuff.
Cash game wise I am playing only heads up right now. Bigger edge and much more to learn. I just felt that I couldn’t advance my game that much at 6 or 9 max because my bankroll didn’t not correspond with the stakes I would have to play to use my knowledge. In heads up however I have a lot of leaks, and fixing them up is a lot more entertaining than grinding silly. Progress, is just awesome.
4.MMA
I was pretty blah that Aoki lost to Mach. And the way he lost(even tho I haven’t seen the match). I was really hoping he would be able to pull it off, as a fan. But what can you do, work on your striking please Rainbow-pants man.
Diaz came in at 190 for Shamrock fight? What happened to the skinny dude that fought Gomi? I guess someone has dipped into more illegal substances then just weed.
Liddell vs Shogun this weekend. Liddell is obviously done(as a contender), but it’s a huge test for Shogun. Is he finally back?
5.Formula 1
What a mess. WTF is going on? Pretty pissed at Lewis getting his points taken away. Happy for Button , the man deserves this, this man is equivalent of F1 Oddeye. So unlucky. Lewis will win anyway though.

I've been seeing this girl for about 8 months. Totally love her and she feels the same way. She's smart, beautiful, funny, not needy, and the sex is fantastic. Pretty much everything I care about

A winning day. Should have been bigger but I made several mistakes. But overall I'm happy.
I started today by playing 6 tables of NL200 and quickly got double coolered and was down 2 buyins. So I decided to play NL100 instead and just mass grind. Got about 20 tables of NL100 going and was running hot. So I closed all the tighter tables, kept the fishy ones, and started adding NL200 tables into the mix. Played for about 6 hours straight and logged 8k hands and about 3k VPP. Profit wasn't huge but still nice @ $1,100. Crazy day and probably my longest session ever.
When I started running good I decided I'd just keep playing till I either got tired or started running horribly bad. This is totally opposite of how I used to be where I would always quit after winning 1-3 buyins while running good. This was quite fun and much more profitable imo. Sadly I've had lots of short losing sessions for pretty much this entire month, so this 1 good run didn't make up for all the other loses. But hopefully I can get a few more sessions like this before the month ends and if that happens I definitely could get into the green, plus make a LOT of VPP.
I usually feel confident in my NL50 HU. I typically run pretty good (compared to my atrocious 6-max luck) and the players on FTP aren't typically playing like geniuses. Today was mostly the same way but there was one guy I played for an hour or two before dinner and he totally raped me. Never felt my soul being sucked from my chest before. I even sucked out on him once and he still slammed me for like 3 BI. He was like a dementor from harry potter or whatever. All-in-all a good but expensive experience.
In other news Charter Telecommunications or whatever needs to go ahead and file for fucking Chapter 11. I hate the fucking company and if I could ever clone myself, some of my clones would definitely go on murderous rampages against Charter. As usual Charter fucked with me all day long, pretending my internet was fixed and then patiently waiting... probably in a perch with binoculars... staring at my screen, waiting ever so patiently for me to flop the absolute nuts... waiting for me to be on the verge of coolering someone in a 200bb pot... and then pulling the plug, only to restore the internet moments later so I could savor my hand flying into the muck
I fucking hate Charter. Just one more way for me to run way below expectation at 6-max. I don't know if the government has granted Charter a fucking monopoly but I hate the government too just in case it did. God will give me justice.

Short summary of my BW history
August 2003 got known to BW by a friend who was a RL friend with Selector at that time ( I for myself didnt met selector ever)
basically we got known due to drug dealing.
all he did was play BW all day + smoke weed
all I did all day was smoke weed and sell weed >-<
So one day we met at his home and smoked some weed.
while being stoned he started talking about how much fun it is to play BW stoned.
So some friends and me + him and some of his friends agreed that it would be fun to play some BW matches while being stoned
( allthough most of us have never played the game before)
Was pretty cool and he gave us a copy of BW and from there on we all started to play BW on a regular base after getting stoned
Well since the weather got worse at that time around November and going when its -10C is not that much fun we played a lot of BW.
we were 8 guys playing
3 of them were kinda good ( he and his Cousin + some friend) 5 of us were all newbs ( basically my friends+me)
After some time it happend that i played a lot with the more skilled guys and soon become much better than my 4 other friends >-<
from now on they didnt want to play with us cause they got pwnd hardcore all the time.
And while i laughed my ass of being stoned and dropping vultures in villian mineral lines doing mines that make whole workers explode they got sad of losing all time.
They quit the game and never touched it again.
That was around April 2004
I have become decent enough to win most 1v1 noob Lts on B.net and so decided i would join a clan.
I praticed on a regular base from now on 3-7games every day till i quit Broodwar in August 2005
I just wasnt going anywhere in that game.
I achieved C- PGT in 2005 middle of season with with 40% winratio ... I had 160apm and won some cw games vs some BWCL 2 divison gamers ( lost the majority though)
i was well aware i had reached the limit of my BW skillz and would have to practice much harder in order to ge to the next Level
But since i had recently started MMA + got a new Girlfriend i lost interest in computer games.
So i took ~ 3 years break without a single game and then played some ZvP vs dusty <3 a few month ago in 2008
I got pwned in a 20 minutes game but i was surprised how i still managed to not completely get raped after 3 years without a single game.
Didnt play more BW afterwards
till February 2009
Some of my MMA friends told me that he was a starcraft player , who played like 7K games from 2000-2003
So we both installed Broodwar again ( thx to the polsih guy who sent me the link <3<3<3 here at LP)
and battled it out for nostalgia
truned out that i surprisingly raped him hardcore 5-0 without losing even a single Building hitpoint during the series ...
At this moment i somehow realized how much Fun Broodwar can be <3
from there on i played a few games on B.net 1v1 LT every now and then and got a 35-16 record.
Today i thought i may finally try this iccup thingy
expected to get raped hardcore even by D players but went surprisingly smooth 5-0 ...
well i was really surprised how bad my opponents were ...
everyone talked how sick starcraft has evolved and how even D players nowadays rape former C players of PGT and stuff ...
well seems i got lucky and none of my enemies had even the slightest idea of what he was doing.

Villian goes for ultra fast muta tech at 12v3 position -> 12pool 11 gas -> few lings , Hive tech
I just go 12pool 11Hatch in main and pump zerglings. he builds a sunken colony and thinks he is save with 6 lings
I run him over with ~ 15 zerglings the momment his spire finished
unfortunately he disced before i finished him off and he didnt have anti cheat on ....
game didnt count as a win for me somehow >-<

Villian was complete noob and sat passive in his main base teching to HT while doing 2 gate opening and building 4-5 zealots then he expands but doenst have a forge

Protoss goes FE into sairs
I see his FE and decide to go 2 Hatch fast Mutas instead of macro style.
My spire finishes right when his stargate pops out the first corsair
he has 3 cannons in his main base + 4 zealots and 1 corsair when my 8 mutas + 2 scources arrive
i kill the sair , kill all cannons + many workers -> he leaves
4th game ZvP LT
that one was actually pretty cool
Protoss goes FE into 3 gateways massing speed zealots + Archon and i go 2 hatch slow lurker drop
happens that he has cannons in his both mineral lines but all his 3 gateways +3pylons are unprotected in main base and he doesnt have observers -> 2 lurkers kill the 3 gates and 3 pylons while i expand double and procuce many lings
after that i tech to spire and mass cracklings
after -> 15 minutes , a bunch of drops , some guardian action and shitload of cracklings he leaves the game
5th game ZvP Destination
Villian probably hasnt played vs human enemy before
he build 3 gateways and rushed zealots
ofc 3 hatch can produce more zerglings than 3 gatways can produce zealots
after 6 minutes he is outmassed and gg

Since its half way through the month I figured Id do a little update... Im about halfway through my exams now so that will be a relief to get them over with, Im still undecided as to whether or not I am going back to school in September and if anyone has any input in that regard that would be appreciated
Ive also been busy with the purchase of my first house, well it is actually a townhouse condo in St. Catharines... hopefully I will have pics up by the end of the month as we move in April 27th
As most of these things calm down Im also going to be doing a little more coaching, I am basically stop doing single lessons as I like to really get to know my students and work with them for a longer period of time.. So I will be offering 10 pack lessons (aka 10hrs) for 2k. This includes me sweating you or you sweating me whichever you prefer on the given day... basically unlimited hh review (without bombarding me with hands ofc) and if you know how to make vids I can review those as well cuz god knows I cant figure that shit out aha...as always pm me if interested
As for playing poker Ive just been grinding 600nl for the most part this month because of exam stress and having to put 60k down on the condo.. hello, I am Chris. I already know a lot of you from TL/Starcraft. I've been playing poker online very intermittently for a few years. I won 70 cents from a freeroll a few years ago and have been playing microstakes casually with that. Currently I am playing PLO10 and am hoping to move up shortly.
I play a casual home game on saturday's that is fixed limit with $1-3 bets for 7 card games and $2,4,6 bets for 5 card games. I usually win about 50-80 because the people there are stations and just want to play poker and don't really care about winning that much.

So i took the milkman challenge yesterday after i read his blog about drinking all day and playing HU. I started drinking at 4pm and playing some reg heads up on 2 tables. I quickly accumulated a $750 profit raping his soul and stuff but then i lost 2 huge like 500 dollar pots to him and broke even. sigh. Then I made some burritos and ate them while watching gomtv and my friend called me and we went backroading (drinking and driving on back roads, you arent gonna get it or understand unless you're a redneck). Before we went though we went to the gas station to get beer and in pulled a girl who im really good friends with and one of my ex fuck buddies was with her. I hate my ex fuck buddy with an immense passion so i obv ignored her and eventually after drinking enough me and my friend decided fuck it two girls and two guys is better than 2dudes so we picked them up. I was obv being a huge douche and having an insanely fun time singing really loud and being the greatest DJ of all time. Ex fuck buddy kept asking me to come sit in the back seat with her but i obv turned her down knowing in the back of my mind that i would eventually find my way back there but oh well, the more she tries to get it and the longer i wait the more she wants it so i had to make sure to play my hand right.
soooooooo a few beers later i mingle my way into the back seat and she just starts making out with me lolol, i tell her to take her top off and she complies and here we go i got a live sex show starting, right???????? she wont take her pants off so wtfever, fail, i start ignoring her and she keeps rubbing up on me but wont take her pants off so whatever.
