So this weekend me and a bunch of buddies went on a foat trip and had a ton of fun being retards got back at 9 last night and passed out til 9 this morning got up and went to church which was amazing. I know alot of you here despise the word church but honestly its nice to go at the end of the week and refresh. Anyways I've had a ton of sleep and got my grinder hat on so it's time for big scores and some run good.
good luck lp
Nick
Also my Favorite song atm....
Think this is my 2nd or 3rd biggest month ever. Was down for the month a week ago or something.
Other then that I'm off to dinner with a few old friends and then we've got tickets for Inglorious Bastards or however Tarantino wants it spelled. Also sat with 13k or something on a 10/20 table yesterday. Never had that much money on a table before, so that felt kinda cool. Getting a fairly good grasp of hold'em I feel, but still leaking a lot of money trying to play omaha. Guess I'll need to learn it sooner or later though.
Also, thanks to SugoGosu for recommending Street Dogs. Two Angry Kids and Kevin J. O'Toole are both really nice songs.
made hands, got paid, lost some REALLY absurd absurd hands to 90/40 types but not bad for 6 hours. won small amt at 2/4 again, something wrong with the universe??
Looks like money goal will be met and things will kick off in 2 days. I both can't wait and am dreading it.
So I came back, still tilted and not paying max attention really and playing 6 tables instead of 4, but cards started coming and I am completely unstuck for today!
Hint: There is one hand where I confused my holecards with other table, guess which one

The thing is, as I set myself a rule that I instantly withdraw to 20BI once I start multitabling and go under my stop loss in the process, I took my BR down to $1k, but overall for the day I am breakeven (now at $1270)
I can't move to NL100 properly only because of the multitabling and spew issues unresolved, so here is what I am going to do:
I will keep the cash I took out because of the anti-spew rule in my Bank account, and if I manage to get to $2.4k without multitabling turbo tilts during at least consecutive 10k hands, I will instantly ship the $1k back to my Pokerstars Account, having 34BI NL100 Roll and a 14BI Shot at the limit.
If I will keep breaking the rule, then tough luck - I will take a shot at 24 BI only for 4BI, as there is no point in playing NL100 if I can't keep playing without turbotilts.

Phil Galfond wrote down so many truths in here I had to post it. Most of them are old truths but they are none the less worth reading again.. Its also interesting to read how highstakes players think in certain areas..

It completely Screwed my graph since I started rebuilding at NL10.
I continue my never ending trend: Crush at 4 tables, get uber raped at 9+ (all three spikes down could be at about 60% would I stay at 4 tables)
I do that whenever I am extremely tired and my will is weak. I really need to improve my condition and find better balance in things.
I started reading Ace on the River from Barry G and this is exactly the thing that he describes as a distinction between winners and losers at the high stakes games he used to play seriously - he was winning only 50% of his sessions and 1/3 of the year was losing for him, but by always quitting under unfavourable conditions (he was tired/tables was -EV) he made it into a big winner as others always played even when not in top shape.
Love that book so far btw, let it be my inspiration, looking forward to chapter Poker and Family especially.
Now I hope I will pull myself together between the EPIC SATURDAY FREEROLS
Was bored. Found this. Agree with Flipius that I fuck some stuff up, and for those who wants to know; Yes I do lose a ton vs shortstack . Still happy with the TT hand though. Like to apologize to all people I was rude too ("people" doesn't include shortstacks). Also, someone stated that I ran bad or something, that's not true, as far as poker goes I'm the luckiest son of a bitch ever. Except like main event winners and that crap.
Also bet like 100€ on Silva and another 100€ on Maia, both for 2.20 odds. A little bit concerned that I don't know that much about the fighters but on the other hand it kinda felt like really solid match ups.
Hello, this is my first blog ever, but I'm around the the LP community for a long time and think that maybe I'll find some answers here, if I ask my questions right.
I used to play poker for around an year now, and first it was a fun trying to do what others do, then i saw my own potentional and start playing for beating the game and other players.
It wasn't long till I realise poker is not only game where you can achieve only pride and honor, but also a source of money and, in my case, a much, much more money than i would have if getting a regular job here.
The last winter I start to play trying to see exact how much I can get if I play poker not only for the fun of it but for getting profit, and for the next 4-5 months my earnings have increased dramaticly.Having in mind that the average salary here is maybe 700 or a biy less, I was earning at least 3K monthly only from live play, despite the fact that here is only two places with live Texas with regular 1/2 tabels.
These were some strange moments for me.I used to earn my money with work, and this new income made without a lot of efforts and much more than what I could earn from working made me confuse and I can't admit it - happy. So I recapitulate my goals and start playing poker for the money I was making from it and soon it comes.
As long as I just play because of the game and the fact that I can prove smoething to myself it was funny and didn't tierd me at all, but since I start playing it, how I say...for real it starts to get annoying, I start to get bored of playing faster and faster until a session longer than 45mins became a torture for me.
And it wasn't long after when I start to force myself to play poker, just because I get used to the life it offers me.I no longer enojyed the game and and in some ways this left a mark on my play.
So after a little briefing I decided to stop playing poker for a while and find out what's really going on, and what i should do from now on.But yesterday I went to the local casino since maybe a 2 month break, I thought I could overcome myself and sat playing again. It was again 1/2 with only regulars on the table - players that i know for playing weak, calling too much, and seeking cheap pots even for their preflop monsters. For me - an easy table with lot of profit on it.So I brought 200 to the table and for no longer than an hour I was dominating the table with around 800 in front of me.Also it was the time when I felt i can no longer play my game, I felt nervous, I start to play more loose and start to loose pot after pot. Then two rich fishes come and I decided to stay and try to make some real money but instead I continue with the loose maniac style and soon I found myself with nothing.Loosing everything in 2-3 stupid pots where I even shouldn't be.And again I ask myself why I had to stay there, even though i didn't feel like this. Was it for the money or I just get bored of the game and should stop play at all or at least for a long time.Or maybe I need more discipline and try to overcome this weakness in my play behavior...I don't know yet.I'd be happy if someone have ever felt the same way in his poker life and share some thoughts or maybe even advices how to deal when poker become a source of apathy but yet is the way to make money impossible to make in the ordinary life.
I hope my english is readable and wish you all the best on and out the tables.
Haven't gotten to play much at all the last week to 10 days, real life has basically taken all of it and sapped a lot of my will to play. I'm still swonging like nuts when I do get some hands in.
I'm still planning on making a crazy ass late push. The stated goal was 20k br by Sept 1, well I hit that tonight but I'm going to have to cash out at least 1500 to pay for Septembers expenses. Buuut theres still 3 days to go and with a little rungood I can be right there. After all the stupid, STUPID stuff I had to deal with, being optimistic about poker is pretty refreshing. http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/2661/lately.jpg
Also, I'm buying an XBOX 360 Elite tonight after I post this . Price drop to $299, Dell gives $30 off so $269 and I'm paying for $150 of it in American Express points before I cancel the card so ship the Elite for $120.
These fucking cunts have charged me $30 a week for internet at my hotel, and they've had an 'open ticket' on the fact that the service is TRASH for over 2 weeks without getting anything done. They've cost me about 3buyins in pots that I've timed out in with the nuts/monsters, along with constantly sitting out in the middle of an orbit for 6-10 hands.
Their customer service / support has been complete horseshit, I've called 4 times and gotten blown off exactly 4 motherfucking times.
I will do my absolute best to never use another AT&T product again.
