Don't Road Rage Unless You Want Your Ass Kickedby NotSorry, October 02
Was driving to town and this faggot is all road raging riding my ass and shit when I'm already going 5 over the speed limit, then when I get to my turn off he fucking pulls out in front of me yelling and flipping me off, nearly slams into my car. Then pulls over to the side of the road yelling he wants to fucking fight me. So of course I fucking pull over get out and am ready to seriously hurt this punk bitch, I got the wife and kids in the car and wouldn't put it past a bitch like this to pull a knife or something so I'm going in with the mind set to end it fast, as I walk over to the car I finally see the guy he's probably 18-19years old 5'8ish maybe 170lbs with his ugly bitch in the front seat, she's fucking yelling and talking shit as well, I get probably 10 yards away and the guy fucking pussies out, jumps back into his car and drives off, so I get back in the car and start driving, the faggot circles around and pull over again right behind me and starts throwing rocks at my car but smashes someone elses' window. At which point I was just like I don't got time for this shit and left while the guy in car that got hit with the rock got out and looked like he was going to wreck this kid.
Yes I probably am an asshole and should have just let it go, but I'm seriously getting sick of punk kids thinking they can get away with shit like this and if I could just beat a lesson in to one of them I feel I would make this world a better place.
Didn't even expect to play 2day..by Night2o1, October 02
Yesterday I took off from Vegas and drove 22 freakin consecutive hours lol. I've stopped off at my friend's place in Little Rock for a day to rest and hang out, so I got the chance to play pokarz!
Finding the softest game ever and running like shit and dropped like 13 Big Bets in like 15 minutes. Djforever can attest to this.
I thought i was done for the month, shipped like 2/3 of my money out for staking but hit a small heater of +160 in the last couple days playing 3 dollar sngs and 6.5 super turbos.
PS has offered me a real good deposit bonus for $600 since I never deposited and started from play money.
I will go travelling soon so can anyone accept $1.5k PS and deposit in my UK bank account? If you have online banking it's easy and you can just do it online without ever visiting a bank.
Were my goals:
-Make 30 buy-ins
-Play 30k hands
-Do well in school
-Get into Music Department in school
-If get into Music Department, buy a nice classical guitar
I made $436
I played 39.7k hands
I did alright in school
Got into Music Department
Bought a $800 classical guitar
So...
[x]Make 30 buy-ins
[x]Play 30k hands
[x]Do well in school
[x]Get into Music Department in school
[x]If get into Music Department, buy a nice classical guitar
I call it a success!
Now October Goals:
[ ] Make it to NL50
[ ] Play 40k hands
[ ] Do even better in school
[ ] Take this girl out to a fine dinning restaurant and make her my girlfriend (should be easy, we flirt back and forth a ton, and I'm 95% sure she's into me)
[ ] Make an Ambient Music #4 thread
[ ] Memorize this song perfectly:
Good luck everyone with all of your own goals!
And since this thread is boring so far, here's a music video about how I feel at the moment.
I'm in a streak of losing sessions, and it is really getting to me.
I'll just go ahead and rant some I guess. I went ahead and pulled out my graph from all hands played at NL100 filtered to when I wasn't donking off in heads up or being an idiot short stack, just my normal true 6-max game.
It really puts things into perspective for me that even though I'm in the middle of losing right now, I am still a winner and that comforts me a little.
I am also moving out to an apartment this weekend, hopefully it will bring me to a peace of mind or just relax me getting away from the parents.
Poker's a game when you win, poker's a job when you lose.
I don't know, i thought it would be fixed by the time we saw it but i guess i may be the only one to have it ?
Well 2 bugs : whenever you go to see your post by clicking my blog > my posts, we end up entering in the first page of the thread. Not the page where we posted our message.
And the 2nd bug : whenever i want to search for something with content or both title and content's options checked it goes like this : http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/7941/lpnetbugging.jpg
A friend of mins paid me 1k back on stars that he owed me and wondering how i should go about using it? what limits ahould i start with? 25NL 50NL or tournies? Im not affraid of losing it but just wondering whats other ppls input?
played pretty consistently this month, and had a 10 session winning streak going but that finally broke. i could feel my play becoming a bit more robotic and my play essentially went to garbage (pretty much focusing on my own hands, etc).
had tests and papers, etc lots of school life. so i took a decent 4 day break from poker to pretty much massively cram ~ 11 hours a day of studying. took 2 days off from everything and that pretty much brings us to today.
didn't want to play 6 max so i watched some videos (please look at main poker forum for 5 day free pass to DC). tbh i felt a bit scared to play. anyway ended up playing some heads up....and won like 3 buy in 1 tableing for like 20 minutes. first time playing heads up and was really confused. i tried looking for a 25 dollar table, but i guess ftp doesn't offer it. i mean i've always heard things about hu being super soft, but i guess i never really believed it. because it doesn't make sense. if your willing to play hu than you should in general be good at it no? well ill just go ahead and let you know this seems mightily false so far.
anyway back to some DC, only watched nolan's videos and really have to recommend. he's such a character saying things that just really reminded me of elementary schools when we learned about tall tales (he speaks like davy crockett-huck fin mix with a slight boston accent). plus he seems like a super manner guy (which was pretty humbling).
i guess i feel pretty inspired to play some full ring (seems fun with narrower hand ranges and maybe some more focus on card removal, i dunno though). in general though i feel pretty confident about fr mainly because i feel that 6 max puts u in a lot harder spot because ppl have just wider ranges. but we'll see. maybe i learn patience/discipline after playing lots of fr?
just wondering if there were any specific adjustments that weren't super obvious (like besides position and a more standard/stricter opening hand range from ep) or some other general tips/help
half-pot limit omaha? YOUR thoughts!by itz-sooooted, October 01
Ok so for the first time in 6 months (since i used to work there), i was able to enter my local casino last night. They were spreading a game called "half pot limit omaha". Not a mixed game, but an omaha game instead at half pot limit, not pot limit. so i'm assuming you're always getting 3:1 on your call.
i'm guessing that some preflop strategy changes will need to be made. the play preflop involves a lot of limpers, and half pot means you cant isolate them.
also, because of the half pot regulation, i think flop strategy should involve a LOT of check raising, and folding the nuts on the flop more frequently than you would in PLO (e.g. if your have like A267 on a 345 flop no redraw, you might have to give it up to substantial action which may mean sets/flush draws/straight+ flush draws).
anyway, what are your thoughts on strategy changes or tips on this game?
thanks people
may your cards always be sooooted (or double sooooted here)
1) I finally have the willpower and concentration to play more hands.
I have played 26K hands in just 15 days of September (started the month in the middle) which is the second most amount of hands i ever played in a month ( lol)
Normally i got tired of poker after like 800 hands ....
but nowadays i just feel like getting started after the first 500 hands ... i play another 1000 hands when warmed up and then another 500 to cool down
2.) While playing 26K hands in those 15 days i figured out a lot of things i did wrong.
i made a list of this the cost me money every session and then figured out how to avoid those situations
negative things:
I still do some of the mistakes even though i know i should fold ....
did cost me around ~45 bucks in todays session ... and those small mistakes will add to big results at the end of the month
Here is some example
MP reg bets out 1,50 i am in the blinds having AKs and make it 6,50
he calls
flop comes AK7 rainbow
i bet 8,50 he shoves ....
okay lets take a look at the situation ... whe hit Two pair in a 3 bet pf pot.
Good thing
Villian is a semi decent 17/16/3 reg and shoves this flop. over our bet.
fistpump call ?
well realisticly we are up against
AK 25%
KK , AA, 77 65%
10 % a bluff kowing i do 3 TT,JJ,QQ and will c bet them into this flop sometimes + most NL50regs play halway decent but suddenly for no reason decide to make some crazy unnecessary moves every now and then once in 1000 hands ...
considering he is a regular who grinds 6-8 tables and mostly plays a solid tag style
he never has AQ here ...
its 25% split pot and 65% were totally fucked and 10% we catch him doing stupid shit.
well i called and ofc he showed 77 for the set.
this is some of the spots were i just throw aways money T_T
Pretty lame month overall. Up about 1k for the month in PLO50 but I cleared probably 6 or 7 hundred in bonuses so in actuality I was hardly above breakeven. I've also been running extremely bad over the last couple weeks but I've been breakeven over the last couple weeks which shows how easy it is to beat this level. Got rivered by quads 2 sessions in a row with set over set. Stacking off with set over set happens so rarely that getting rivered by quads 2 sessions in a row is just =[
I also hit platinum star for the first time ever :D
