I drove 22 hours on Thursday, stopped at my friend's place in Little Rock, AR for Friday, and finished the last 14 hours of the drive today. So sick I didn't think it could be done in 2 session.. Back home now.
I hope things are well here for my family 'n friends but from the little bit I talked to my sister for when I got home it doesn't sound like things are that great $$-wise atm, but I guess I'll learn more tomorrow 'n monday when I see my pops.
Hoping to move up, keep learning, 'n make a bunch of money over the next couple months and ofc I will spam updates here as per usual ;D
today was a good day, i lost about 300 playing 6 max like it was heads up...
took a break and just decided to play heads up (went up like 8 buy ins). i kinda want to remember today so here's a brief snapshot

i don't really care wat anyone says about this hand, he 3 bet twice before and showed AQ and KK and folded way too much pf, i'm actually fairly confident i'm beat here on turn.
i also got to play my first real opponent hu. this is the first time i've ever experienced actual real game dynamic, upper level thinking, and even felt opponent changing gears. i never really put much stock into intangible concepts like these but today it was slamming me in the face. just a recap. most of these hands i've already forgotten the thought processes behind them :/ (it wasn't just hand analysis, it was previous hand history, transition to more aggressive pf action, etc)
there were so many epiphanies during this session, and i've rarely had more fun playing poker. i played 3 tables 6 max and played one table of hu. i think it's really fun. anyway just a recap of the session.

as we approached 4 buy ins deep, my heart began racing, my body began trembling and my hand uncontrollable :/ i pretty much wussied out, and left the table.
anyway i've got some new focus, and i hope i dont lose my current passion and focus for the game. i just want to put massive volume in, get to 1/2 on 6 max. the path has never been so straight~!
Well after posting my last blog Ive been on a pretty nice heater... running really well
5 10 has been going much better as has 10 20...Its also really nice to be able to take shots at 10 20 and 25 50 knowing I can always drop down to 3 6 if need be and grind it out.
Ive decided that I am gonna start training muay thai starting tomorrow which Im pretty damn excited about should be lots of fun and a great workout
Ive also finally got back into playing hockey again after a year and half or so of not playing which is awesome... Sigh as I type this the Leafs are getting crushed by Ovechkin and company.
Session was starting pretty dissapointing.
-165$ after the first ~ 800hands
1)
couple KK vs AA pf and i also lost Flush to FH and got sucked out always vs 25bb shortstacks who call my QQ-KK pushes with Aj-A5 and ofc hit an A on turn or river ^^
2)
then i made back my way to breakeven till ~ hand 3000
pretty much grinding it up -> getting a sick beat -> grinding it back-> getting a cooler -> grind it back always around +1BI-1Bi
3)
last 1890 hands were pretty good and i ended the session + 236$
didnt get any suckouts and and did some nice valuetowning + some idiot bluffed his set into my flush pot bet on river for 250bb pot
overall session was around 4ptbb/100 which is decent results imo consindering first 1K hands were horrible bad luck
How can it happen so consistently that I am able to beat a game 10 sessions in a row and then lose exactly everything I make within 15 minutes into the 11th session? This pattern has happened 4-5 times in a row now. I never knew run bad could be so methodical.

Last one isn't really run bad but of course I lose a flip for a 5 buyin pot during my doomswitch session
The big disadvantage with the cashgame test imo is that its 10-handed and doesnt give any real hard decisions. It also feels like pokerstars software
But as a fun and small pointer at were you are in the game I think its good!
uncharted 2 or demon soulsby Into Infinity, October 03
two big ps3 titles that i've been waiting for come out next week, which should i get first?
demon souls = action RPG where you can go into other peoples game and wreck shit up (or do co-op with them)
uncharted 2 = action adventure game that plays kind of like a cross between tomb raider and gears of war
Not enough hours, not enough hands, being owned IRL overall. Played mainly 2-3 tables all month in order to really focus on my game.
NLHE (nl25-100)
~ +$500
~ 43 hours
~ 9k hands
PLO (10-25)
~ +$500
? hands
? hours
August was 45k hands, -$2800, 120 hours so I'll definitely take september, thanks.
incl rb and I'm probably +1200 for sept,,but w/e. Making progress is encouraging and exciting. Improving steadily, just need to somehow find the daily routine that allows me to play 1-2 hours of poker a day on weekdays and I'm good X_X
October I really want to stop being distracted by PLO and get back to playing 1 session every day for 1-2 hours really focused 4 tabling. No other goals other than playing consistently every day and working with my coach on a regular basis. I need to play more to get more hands on regs so that I can continue to play better based on opponent reads/stats.
Don't Road Rage Unless You Want Your Ass Kickedby NotSorry, October 02
Was driving to town and this faggot is all road raging riding my ass and shit when I'm already going 5 over the speed limit, then when I get to my turn off he fucking pulls out in front of me yelling and flipping me off, nearly slams into my car. Then pulls over to the side of the road yelling he wants to fucking fight me. So of course I fucking pull over get out and am ready to seriously hurt this punk bitch, I got the wife and kids in the car and wouldn't put it past a bitch like this to pull a knife or something so I'm going in with the mind set to end it fast, as I walk over to the car I finally see the guy he's probably 18-19years old 5'8ish maybe 170lbs with his ugly bitch in the front seat, she's fucking yelling and talking shit as well, I get probably 10 yards away and the guy fucking pussies out, jumps back into his car and drives off, so I get back in the car and start driving, the faggot circles around and pull over again right behind me and starts throwing rocks at my car but smashes someone elses' window. At which point I was just like I don't got time for this shit and left while the guy in car that got hit with the rock got out and looked like he was going to wreck this kid.
Yes I probably am an asshole and should have just let it go, but I'm seriously getting sick of punk kids thinking they can get away with shit like this and if I could just beat a lesson in to one of them I feel I would make this world a better place.
Didn't even expect to play 2day..by Night2o1, October 02
Yesterday I took off from Vegas and drove 22 freakin consecutive hours lol. I've stopped off at my friend's place in Little Rock for a day to rest and hang out, so I got the chance to play pokarz!
Finding the softest game ever and running like shit and dropped like 13 Big Bets in like 15 minutes. Djforever can attest to this.
I thought i was done for the month, shipped like 2/3 of my money out for staking but hit a small heater of +160 in the last couple days playing 3 dollar sngs and 6.5 super turbos.
PS has offered me a real good deposit bonus for $600 since I never deposited and started from play money.
I will go travelling soon so can anyone accept $1.5k PS and deposit in my UK bank account? If you have online banking it's easy and you can just do it online without ever visiting a bank.
Were my goals:
-Make 30 buy-ins
-Play 30k hands
-Do well in school
-Get into Music Department in school
-If get into Music Department, buy a nice classical guitar
I made $436
I played 39.7k hands
I did alright in school
Got into Music Department
Bought a $800 classical guitar
So...
[x]Make 30 buy-ins
[x]Play 30k hands
[x]Do well in school
[x]Get into Music Department in school
[x]If get into Music Department, buy a nice classical guitar
I call it a success!
Now October Goals:
[ ] Make it to NL50
[ ] Play 40k hands
[ ] Do even better in school
[ ] Take this girl out to a fine dinning restaurant and make her my girlfriend (should be easy, we flirt back and forth a ton, and I'm 95% sure she's into me)
[ ] Make an Ambient Music #4 thread
[ ] Memorize this song perfectly:
Good luck everyone with all of your own goals!
And since this thread is boring so far, here's a music video about how I feel at the moment.
I'm in a streak of losing sessions, and it is really getting to me.
I'll just go ahead and rant some I guess. I went ahead and pulled out my graph from all hands played at NL100 filtered to when I wasn't donking off in heads up or being an idiot short stack, just my normal true 6-max game.
It really puts things into perspective for me that even though I'm in the middle of losing right now, I am still a winner and that comforts me a little.
I am also moving out to an apartment this weekend, hopefully it will bring me to a peace of mind or just relax me getting away from the parents.
