Biggest day HU by edzwoo, November 08

I ran really sick hot (last hand flopped flush vs overpair in 3bet pot for 300bb pot), but I also think I played REALLY well at NL200. I was consistently winning all the 25-50bb 3bet pots, either by making good call downs or some sort of bluff. I also won a bit at NL100.

I've been working on widening my 3bet range depending on game flow, rather than just 3betting a tight valuerange + some air, and I think that helped today as well.

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/df832.hu2.PNG

I know 5bi isn't really that much relative to how swingy HU can get, but I haven't had a big win at NL200 yet, so this makes me pretty happy.

depressed. by VeGeTTa89, November 08

unfortunatley everything i write in these forums turns into shit. no matter how legitimate of a post it is, or how insightful it may be i am going to get flamed.i am starting to realize there is no way around it. a forum works diffrently than any other format on the internet. you can start a thread like the one i started today about the november 9 with good intentions, and hopes that youll have a little bit of fun, and then watch it turn into a nasty and ugly situation where even mods are threatning to ban you. i guess i hit my low point of the day

my girlfriends in pain because she has a tooth ache and needs to get teeth pulled tommorow, and she has no health insurance. I am thousands of dollars in debt. My job fucking sucks because of the economy/ and because of the situation over there. I haven't re enrolled back into school yet and feel like i'll never go back and im destined to be a fucking car sales man for the rest of my life. my poker career is non existant, because of lack of bank roll, I cant even get it Started...

i log on to lp to try to escape from all the RL bull shit and i get slammed. this is the only forum that i visit so its not like i have anywhere else to go..
I feel like i have two options... ;(

1 leave the forums and stop posting and go somewhere a little more accepting.

2 or Log back in here when i have a decent graph showing some profit and somehow prove myself to all of you. because i feel thats the only way ill be accepted here...

either way the hostility towards beginners here is insane. i posted a hand in the tourney page to get some advice on how to prevent what happend to me and i got RAILED. I post a question about whether or not its good to limp in every time i get a chance and i get RAILED. Its like everything i touch turns into SHIT ! and it sucks

Recent musical obsession by Night2o1, November 08

lol

'n every other song I can get a hold of. Probably going to buy nearly all of their albums over the next couple of days.

Bone thugs entertain me on a number of different levels.. And they're sick good at what they do.

And Ronald Jenkees, which I'm sure nearly everyone has heard one of his youtubes.

His stuff is a pure, visceral experience for me. It just feels good listening to it.

I picked up both of his albums the other day, you can torrent them if you'd like (he said himself that he prefers you buy them, but for those who can't.. he'd rather they be able to hear his music than not.). I torrented them both and 2 days later I bought both off of his website

I'm either going to play poker today or tomorrow. Still working on getting my head screwed on right and such, feeling a lot better though. I'm fixing to make getting back in shape my #1 priority, because I think it will put the rest of my life into place since I'll have to regulate my sleep schedule, I'll be more confident and will rejuvenate my energy levels, force me to fix my sleep schedule, etc. Just need something really regular like that. Just gotta take the 1st step
Enjoy.

Hello LP by Xanthos, November 08

I have browsed this forum before, but I decided its time I contribute to hand discussions and once a while random general stuff.
I have been playing poker for few years now. After being a bit successful I started loosing interest, and stop learning really.

So this is hopefully a new start. I had to go back to low limits and start re-building. So far the results are a semi brag and a beat.

50nl:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/502dd.50nl.jpg

100nl:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/f694d.100nl.jpg

So right now my problem is beating 100nl. I feel like I have an edge on most of players but I dont feel like I am in control, and I feel like my graph can go anywhere on anyday. How can 50nl and 100nl be so different.

btw the all-in EV graphs does it mean I run like god all the time? or is just simply the preflop ev of showdown hands?

Anyways in conclusion, hi... help me get better and help me help you to help everyone and create a better world for our children to live. /end beauty queen speech.

update by Gawuss, November 08

October was a lazy month. I played like 10k hands (lol), dropped ~$4,9k. 5/10 shot had gone pretty well in the beginning but then I lost it all and went back to playing 2/4 eur on boss media.

I visited Warsaw for the EPT and played some cash games (5/10-10/20) but I was card-dead and pretty much had an image of a nit lol. I lost 1,5k pln (~$530) but I had fun and it makes up for it When we went out to eat sth, someone else had to pay for the dinner so I won at that at least - and I was the one who encouraged others to play credit card roulette :D

November started off pretty well, I won about 2k euro but then lost it back due to a few coolers and bad play (obv). I'm happy though cause I finally made myself play more (at least 1k hands/day). I guess I'll be updating my blog weekly this month so here's a graph from the first week of play.

Album Tone Test by Sliggy, November 08

This tone reminds me of Killswitch Engage's "As Daylight Dies" album, just an unmastered version. Do you guys like this tone?

P.S. I know this music is FAR from groundbreaking and I know that we're not doing anything special production wise, basically me and a few friends were in a band like 3 / 4 years ago and had about 12 original songs that we're going to record now just for the memory's sake. Some of the best times

So without further excuse making, I bring you the unmastered instrumental version of one of our tracks for your (production wise) critiquing!

I'm pretty damn set on this, just double checking across all the boards to ensure there's nothing horribly wrong with it that I'm just not hearing:

Pure brag by LemOn[5thF], November 08

This is me 4 tabling.
What I love is not the fact that I simply hit a boomswitch, but that the progress is beautifully smooth and steady, and that I managed to brainless spew only about 3 BI.

Up to NL25, 5bb/100 is all I am asking for while 4 tabling.

Newbs gotta know by DooMeR, November 08

Yo so after 2 months breakeven (mostly live poker) I finnally got my grind pants back on. Its been tough getting readjusted to 1/2 mass tabling and although ive developed some back habits ive been working hard the past week to think about the game tons and I finnally got to show my progress today by running hot as fuck. Here are my results for my biggest day buyin-wise.

http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/7690/1612buyinday.jpg

http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/5733/grindpants.jpg

Very very fulfilling session. Feels great to work hard and be so bluntly slapped in the face by the deck. Allowing for some serious confidence building.

gf randomly ignores me by egood, November 08

so we're chillin in an xbox live party together. I've been playing halo and she's watching shit on netflix. I say "BRB" cause i gotta take a piss, she says "ok". I come back, say "back" she disconnects her mic, leaves the party, logs off xbox. She's still logged on to msn so i sent a msg there, then i text her asking what's up. no response. she never does this. if she was goin to sleep she would have told me or texted me. WTF? I have no idea what i did wrong. We were chillin in that party talkin for like 4 hours.

its not that big a deal, but its just like a "what the fuck?" for me lol.

first week of nl25 by Gsr_01_integ, November 08

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/f482f.week 1 nov.jpg

just been putting in some time at nl25 and waiting til i have the right roll to play some nl50 again, its all about slow and steady win the race...no reason to rush getting somewhere and taking a shot when i get to the point and i have a nice roll to not worry about the money like on nl25. All i need to do is beat nl25 for about 10-15 more buy in maybe wait til 20 who knows its so simple to beat nl25 if i do move up and cant beat nl50 for the same hourly im happy with adding more and more money to my roll to do whatever with from nl25.

Well time to go chill and watch some tv and blaze a fatty

peace out LP

MAJOR problem with HEM by dafcnz, November 07

So, HEM has been mis-interpreting some of my HH from ongame it seems. I had a short session at NL50, which I left up like 30-40$, somehow HEM shows my 120 hand session as losing 217$... WTF? This is like, mathematically impossible, I don't even sit on 190 as my BR (I'm hovering around the 150 mark atm)

Anyone had this before?
