I'm starting to put together different ideas for building a new computer to replace my current Macbook pro, hopefully around the middle of May. I'll probably have a handful of posts similar to this regarding how different things apply to multitabling since I have a very low amount of experience with building computers (a few close friends and my cousin are very experienced and are helping me pick components but I'm looking for some feedback from online multitablers as well).

This is the current monitor I'm considering, and I've seen different things from different people around the site. A lot say to go for smaller monitors, like 21.5" for example, but I haven't really seen any reason behind it besides "it's better." Should I be worried about resolution problems or anything like that? What are the benefits to having 2 21.5" monitors as opposed to 2 24" monitors for slightly more money? Thanks for any and all responses in advance.

I also recently posted that I will be reviewing "The Poker Blueprint" by Aaron Davis and Tri Nguyen. I am about 75 pages in and so far it has a lot of solid, helpful information. I'm not going to go too in depth because I want to post a good review after completing the book, but I'm enjoying it so far and have gained a lot of helpful information from it.

So im getting tired of living in PA and only a couple months of nice weather. Me and a couple friends are moving down by the Myrtle Beach area and live down there for a couple yrs or something. The prices of living are about the same as they are in PA...but theres no beach in PA and i want nice weather and time to enjoy my sports car more than just a couple months of the yr.

Just wanted to see if there are any LPer in the NC area around the Myrtle beach area that would wanna meet up sometime I dont know anyone there except for the 2 friends im going with Im looking to meet some new people and just enjoy life for a little bit. Also if anyone can let me know all kinds of fun shit and all to do down there. One of the one things im looking forward to is to go on a fishing charter and actually catch something that takes some time and a nice struggle to catch the big one.

Hi there!

Won my first freeroll today, yay. 6$ might not be a lot for the most of you guys, but I'm trying to stick to my rule of not depositing any money for poker.

I do know that I mentioned that I'd maybe deposit some money in my last entry, but that's because I was rather demotivated after only winning 0.40$ in two weeks.

But this little win has surely given me motivation to sticking to my rule, let's see for how long that lasts..

i just had my biggest day ever!

had a 15.5k day at 10/20 live at the bellagio. I almost busto'd my mini roll i brought here, was down to my last 2.2k from the 15k i brought with me. (i was in for 2.8k and got stacked and then rebought for my last 2.2k) and ran it up to 20,500 in about 5 hours.

pretty sweet result and definitely a brag but i feel pretty good right now. Also pulled the biggest bluff of my life, and a couple nice call downs.

definitely an awesome end to a vacation that was not too fun. The games at the bellagio tbh were actually pretty terrible. There were quite a few good players, including thewh00sel, Ooooohhhhhh (i think thats his name on stars?), a couple of pretty good live pros (and i think most livepros blow). Not many BIG fish at all. At one point we had a table that litteraly was probably as tough as an online 5/10 table (me and ohh agreed). Thankfully the table tonight was pretty decent, not AMAZING but certainly a pleasent change.

I go back to AZ tomorrow night so i gotta get some sleep. GOOD NIGHT!

I need to get poker on track, hoping to make $2500 online in the next 3 months, and another 2-3k at the casino when i go in May (should be easy, somehow i stomp live play but suck online LOL, i think its because live i concentrate a lot more)

So if I make this goal (minimum of 3.5k profit before June) then I will go on a nice vacation somewhere (most likely Thailand).

So I am writing this to take poker seriously. no more 16 tabling and breaking even. I redid my subscription to DeucesCracked and I'm going to be watching a lot of vids and get myself back up to 50 NL by end of March and 100NL by end of April.

This might be a record for me, 2 blogs in the same day


As I wrote about in my last blog my current roomate is moving out at the end of our lease in April and I am looking for a person to live with out here. I have talked to a few poker people through what I posted on 2+2 and have a few people seriously interested that seem like cool people. The wildcard in this whole process is that their is a girl from back home in Chicago/Indiana that I've known for a long time/has visited me out here before that really wants to gtfo of there and move out here. Everyone I have even mentioned this idea to has said no way it will work.

What I want to try to figure out here is what is my exact potential EV I lose/gain in having her move in. Lets set the pro's first. She said she will cook/clean/laundry/as much sex as I want. Now thinking about this aspect alone overall it is pretty big. First, I fucking hate cleaning and rarely do it. To have someone around on a consistent basis making sure everything is good, laundry is washed would probably make me feel alot better about myself and my surrondings. As for the cooking aspect, I think this would be absolutely tremendous. Would help me eat healthier/help body get in better shape, save money on fast food all the time, would enjoy the meals more, not have to worry about leaving the apartment. The sexual aspect obviously speaks for itself. I will say she is a pretty girl, nice body, good in bed and a pretty pleasent person to have around. Plus I feel like I will be making a big difference in her life as life back in Indiana pretty much sucks for her right now.



Now lets weigh some con's. First, we wouldn't exactly be "dating" but we kinda would be in a way. Therefore I'm sure bringing other girls home would be frowned upon from her vantage point. Also the overall bills here are around 1200-1300 total each a month. She has her own bills of around 600 a month so assuming she got some sort of waitress/bar job out here making 1k-1.5k a month, she would really only be able to pay 500-600 towards bills therefore sticking me with about 1800-1900 just to live here. I mean that is pretty fucking ridiculous lol. Also there is no guarantee that she can get a job making that sort of money right away so the first month or two I could end up paying more. In addition I have to factor in the possiblity of me just getting sick of seeing her as well which has been known to happen in the past.


Therefore weighing these options I need to come up with a forumla to figure out if I should go the poker player route where I can still meet as many women as I want, hire maid/find a girl to cook for me. Or have her move in and live in a clean/cooking environment. I figure the cleaning alone can probably come to about $200/month, cooking $300-400/month, sex $500 month (this is assuming in a normal dating relationship I would end up spending the equivalent on taking women on dates plus the time taken up texting/driving/bs stuff). Now we factor in the negatives, I end up paying extra $600-700/month, $200-300 month with no other women.


So if I actually use this equation to figure things out it looks as if I about breakeven overall on the situation so basically I just need to decide what I actually desire for the next few months of my life. Getting better at poker while living with someone to play or having food/ a clean place and sex anytime.............

Deposited $50 on FTP to practice NL2 & improve my live play, snap tilt from all the minraising and min 10-betting preflop, and immediately give up. Play some NL10 rush, run up to $100, go to cashout, and pull a neilly and dive into NL50 HU. Boom lost everything.

anyways, haven't been playing as much as intended.. am really considering trying to play husngs a lot - tried a few of them, and the competition looks quite soft. i dunno though, we'll see.

in other news - went to the military recruitment center planning to join as an officer - they told me i have to finish my last year before i can do a direct entry. which sucks big time, as i now know that i absolutely have to go back to school in september to finish up my last year.. shitty deal.

umm, besides that - the woman is being a huge bitch lately. so that's probably going to end very very soon.

If you saw my monthly graph for feb, you will notice my shit is like a fkin roller coaster. Every session, i play great, get up a few buyins, and at some point i just get doomswitched. EVERY SESSION. So frustrating playin good poker and then losing ur hard earn winnings to bullshit. These are just a few gems from today, too lazy to find more. THe last one was my last hand of the session I had already hit sitout next hand. Awesome.

Played some NL10 and NL25 this week where I almost exclusively played live sessions because mate invited some of his friends to play almost every night also ran good for me ^^

I know there are other ways to put HHs into a typical blog (blogspot.com e.g.) but I like the HHs at LP. Is it possible and how hard would it be to put them in the same format on my blog - can I add some HTML to each blog, is there a way I can just use [HAND=805XXX], etc?
