So I'm playing in a charity game, 1/2 NLHE. Table is pretty fishy and I'm up and down a lot over the course of the session. Eventually we move to a different table so it's full ring. After a few hands I pick up pocket 7s UTG+1. I open 4x and get 4 callers, UTG+2, MP, and BB. I'm sitting on 250, UTG+2 has roughly the same, MP has ~100, BB easily covers table. No reads since I had almost just sat down at the table, but it was much more aggressive than the other table.

Flop comes 7s6s3h and I'm all LOL. BB leads into me for 20 and I raise to 60. UTG+2 folds, MP calls, BB shoves. I snap call, MP snap calls. BB shows 54o for the nuts and MP shows 98o for an OESD. Turn KD, river Qd.

This is easily the biggest pot I've ever lost and I'm simply in shock that BB showed up with 54o. I don't think there's anything I can do here but snap call because he's doing the same with 88+, 66, 33, maybe even AXss.

I don't know LP...I just don't know.

Last night admist drunken 500bb 1/2 fr at the local casino my younger brother offered me 15-1 odds 15k-1k, that Ron Paul or Peter schiff won't get elected president or that Ron Paul gets asassinated I win bet.
I believe the worse things get the more ppl will search for answers the more they will start voting Ron Paul. Especially when 2011 will be huge economic fail of a year. So I took the bet . 1000$ Ron Paul is president 2012.

Id generally consider myself on the unorganized side. I noticed I am really inefficient at getting myself to review my own hands and my database in general.

What do you guys do to analyze your hands and improve outside of the game?

Also, does anyone has an excel template for EV calculations with some advanced ones that I might not be familiar with they wouldn't mind sharing??

Ok, I've been thinking of doing some kind of boku87 type challenge for myself where I try to grind a roll starting from $100-$200 and playing 45 and 180 man small buy-in tournies for fun. Obviously it's not fun to start playing in those 10 cent tournies, so I'm going to skip that garbage lol.I'll probably do this in like the next week or something, and will be blogging results with HEM graphs or whatever for some entertainment. Not looking for action or anything, just thought it'd be cool to blog my results.

So I am updating this once before May 11th just to show some progress I made half way through. I was going to quit poker and started Feb with a $150 roll or something like that and had a magical month where I made $2300. Unfortunately, winning never ever lasts long for me since poker hates me. I have lost every single session I have played in March. And my car fucked up so I had to cash out $750 of my roll which now leaves me with $400. Anyways off to the real life goals....


[X] Get a job as a waiter
[X] Get back into going to church every Sunday
[/] Find car insurance and replace brakes/struts
[ ] Research grants/loans/financial aid for school in fall
[ ] Figure out where I would like to go to school
[ ] Get back into working out 3x a week and be able to bench 280
[/] Bible reading 3x a week and back to praying every night
[ ] No more smoking weed
[X] Drinking is fine as long as does not interfere with any goals
[/] Save up $1500
[ ] Stop smoking cigarettes

So of my 11 goals I accomplished 3 of them and am half way on 3 more. Focusing on the school aspect will come very soon so that is no worries. However, stopping cigarettes and weed was much more difficult than I expected. Oh well wish me luck that things keep on going up for me (atleast in life, fuck poker).

I want to play 4,000 hands this weekend.
Am I crazy? Will I go mad in the process?

Well, I started off nicely today, amassing 350 hands during one hour, but there was a decent amount of HU and 3 handed action included. 3,650 hands remaining, which is roughly 12 hours during 2 days, tomorrow's freeroll not included. If I do it, only 3,500 further hands will remain until I finish my mad challenge of playing 30,000 (THIRTY THOUSAND) hands in 45 days.

I will blog about my epic struggle and update this post. I am also thinking about moving in Chiren80's footsteps, and hopefully this sick hand marathon will help me get a PS pro status!

If I finish this, who knows what I will do next? 35,000? even 50,000 hands per month? Setting up a webcam channel and showing off my Asian GF for no reason? Only sky is the limit.

What is up blog readers! I made a promise to myself that I would update this more often so here we go.

My roomate search is hopefully going to be over soon so all that stress about finding someone will be off my mind and over. I'm talking to a few people currently and am pretty sure I will go with a guy over the girl from my last blog, but not 100 percent sure yet. Just need to get whoever I pick approved to move in and then it should be all done. Weather is starting to get nicer out here too which has been pretty cool. Get to hang out at the pool and work on the tan/be outside rather then sitting inside doing nothing. I met this 18 year old Persian girl who just moved to USA a few months ago and we went out on a date the other night. Seems like it might have some potential, and by potential I mean she is 18 and we all know where that leads to lol who knows. Seems like she could be an odd fellow though



My god-mode at PLO has finally ended. I've been 24 tbling plo50 to try to get better at the game/get hands in. I was running like god for the first 35k hands but these last like 5k hands have been fucking brutal and pretty sure I lost back all the profit I was up. Whatever, fuck that crazy game, I think I may just give up on it or load up plo10 when I want to play. My results at NLHE are just sooo much better that it would probably be a pretty big leak if I keep playing PLO. I mean, it did ruin my life kinda a few months ago lol.

I've actually started to get back into playing fullring now. I analyzed my FR game from the past and changed a few leaks I had and am doing alot better now. What did I change about my game?? It is actually a rather large change that I'm sure the regs who play with me will notice but I don't want to give it away lol. I wll probably play nl100 until I make a little bit more and then stick with nl200 for awhile. Im still off and on about going for SNE this year. Some days I am super motivated to play and get SNE and then other days I just want to lay in bed and do absolutely nothing. Usually a trip to the gym always gets me in the grinding mood for some reason and I always come back and play some. Pace for SNE after this month is around 240k vpp and I probably will end this month around 150k vpp but could be more depending on how hard I work. I'm still confident I can get SNE pretty easily but I just don't know if I have the work ethic in me right now. I really don't want to do anything lately, no poker, no fucking random women, no going to bars, no driving around, I really need to snap out of it somehow but it is tough when you have limited people to help. Back home I always had a bunch of friends I could hang with and feel better but out here its just hard. I really was/am contemplating moving back home but I just think I would look at it as such a big failure, plus the drive is 35 hours long. None of those things I want to look foward to at all. I will probably just give another roomate/6 more months a shot and see how things go over the summer, who knows??


Whatever, fun to write. Going to try to go to sleep so I can wake up and grind the pool tomorrow lol, Thanks for reading

Havent played poker at all few months at least. So we went tournament local casino this week. My table was fun 5 players left in first hour and other table none .. i was playing lagtard maniac and had lots of fun putting ppl allin and 5-6 times only to see them to fold. But my friend was tricky ..somone raised cutoff and i called button with AJs, friend bumped up on bb ..orignal raiser folded and i debated to fold but i was mood to outplay etc players i called to see what happens of flop. He looked flop and made hand gesture like he was going to check then he bet like almost pot .. i had gutshotdraw + ace ..so my options were allin or fold.. i allinned he instaclaled showed kings and got double up.. it didnt bother me at all since i had already got 2/3 stack from bluffing other ppl. Then he got involved in next hand ..by raising 56s, next ppl calls. Flop J62. He bets other guy raises. And he goes allin with 6 ... Other guy calls and shows Set of jacks.. my friend says can i fold i dont wanna show my hand. Dealer says no u have to show your hand u are allin, he shows 56 and then dealer deals turn 6, river 6. Most brutal beat what i have ever witnessed :D GG And my friend finished frist place in end.
