Havent played poker at all few months at least. So we went tournament local casino this week. My table was fun 5 players left in first hour and other table none .. i was playing lagtard maniac and had lots of fun putting ppl allin and 5-6 times only to see them to fold. But my friend was tricky ..somone raised cutoff and i called button with AJs, friend bumped up on bb ..orignal raiser folded and i debated to fold but i was mood to outplay etc players i called to see what happens of flop. He looked flop and made hand gesture like he was going to check then he bet like almost pot .. i had gutshotdraw + ace ..so my options were allin or fold.. i allinned he instaclaled showed kings and got double up.. it didnt bother me at all since i had already got 2/3 stack from bluffing other ppl. Then he got involved in next hand ..by raising 56s, next ppl calls. Flop J62. He bets other guy raises. And he goes allin with 6 ... Other guy calls and shows Set of jacks.. my friend says can i fold i dont wanna show my hand. Dealer says no u have to show your hand u are allin, he shows 56 and then dealer deals turn 6, river 6. Most brutal beat what i have ever witnessed :D GG And my friend finished frist place in end.

yey! I can play higher again. Although, I'll probably try to win 10 or 20k more before playing 10/20 again unless the games are really good. It's so nice to play in soft games to relax from time to time.
So I bought a new monitor today but found out I was out of milk so I smashed the mother fucker. Hah, j/k, but got you to read my blog.
In reality, I just went busto playing live..... sigh.. I dunno what happened. Lost a big hand after repopping a lagtard BTN raiser (they have these live? Whats the world coming to) with AJ and he calls my cbet on a JT3 board with A3.. turns trips but I turn nut flush draw, i c/r him allin and fail to connect. Some other loose passive but nitty postflop player decides he's going to squeeze a 5way raised pot with 98s in the CO and I get stuck in the middle with JJ. Fold flop, just bleeding chips is all. Later I try to bluff him off his gutshot but he rivers bottom pair for the win. And again when he floats flop with AK high. I had to call him out on that one since he was the initial raiser and I 3bet him. He said "I had to defend my hand", and I'm just like "wtf?" How do you defend by check-calling with air?
Nothing particularly spectacular though. Just a bunch of chip loss from missed draws and shit.
I'm glad this happened though. I thought I was going to have to dedicate myself to live play so I'd have an edge at the stakes I want to play instead of grinding it out at nonsense micro stakes. Since live is just as variance heavy as online, and since I apparently dont have any edge, I might as well go back to playing online. I'll just spend the rest of my poker career donking off at NL400 once a month until I run hot.
I'm considering spending a lot of time out in vegas this year and know that a lot of people split houses for the summer, so it's making me think about doing the same. Maybe some other alternative too, but getting a hotel for longer than a couple weeks seems like a huge waste of money. The summer is rapidly approaching though and I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions folks?
