Looking For a Stake by RJ227, April 06

Hey there fellow LPers,

Due to unforeseen financial obligations, I have been forced to seek a stake. My computer broke down, my car likewise. Both in the last week. I have been playing ST 6M SNG's on FTP for a while, and have been doing pretty well. I am very confident I can beat these at a good clip.

I'd like to be staked for a month or two and am open to offers regarding percentages and such. Please PM me if you're interested. Thank you.

Atlantic City in May anyone? by acdawg712, April 06

If anyone is from the Mid-Atlantic area and wants to go to Borgata from May 4th-6th, let me know. 2+2 is having a 'party' with reduced hotel rates, free breakfast and lunch buffets, prize drawings, and a tournament. Unfortunately, Mason Malmuth is a hardass so everything is techinically public.

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/27/brick-mortar/forum-party-borgata-742895/

I've been playing a little poker on Bodog recently, PLO 25 and 50 as well as 10 dollar sngs. It's been ok but I've cashed out to finish up the school year. I'll be graduating in May from the University of Michigan, culminating in a speech from President Obama. From there, I'll be grinding in AC for a couple week before heading to Taiwan(anyone there?) from May 13th to 31st. Then I plan on going to Las Vegas sometime in the month and a half before full-time work begins in Central Jersey. I plan on grinding the tournaments and 1/2 and 2/5 on weekends as I settle into full time work, unless I quickly meet new people. Anyway, I have class in 4.5 hours so GL all in poker and life.

Cashout at Stars by player999, April 05

Dont do it.

omg back to stars - hello variance by whamm!, April 05

cannot withdraw thru bankwire for ftp so now im stuck with a 7300 bankroll on stars (cant believe rakeback/fpps made my br grow LOL)
now i have to make a decision to stick with stars and its constant hate for filipino players. i will 24 table once again but this time play my old game 2 years ago with a lot of new things ive learned in 3bet/4bet pots and postflop spots ive learned from my coach (who now works and cant coach anymore coz he's too busy) i really felt i kinda improved somewhat so the last and biggest leak of mine is my fear of variance and results oriented nature. 3 years and i still think of it the same way (the wrong way obv).

tbh id be happy just to breakeven at 100nl and collect rakeback monies and be rich like dannyohboy, wojtaspolak and hugadas lol
its sick coz i used to compare myself with guys i played with 2 yeasrs who are big winners at 200nl now haha

my situation now is this:

7300br - but need some withdrawals montlhly like 500 perhaps (can be covered by fpps easy)

50nl like .6 winrate over 300k hands
100nl -3600 over 600k hands
25nl close to 2ptbb over 100kplus hands

i dunno what to do anymore and what to learn next but here's a couple:
- postflop with marginal midpair/ weak redraw type hands played aggressively against the right type of opponents si something i should try to implement from time to time esp at 100nl.
- note taking other regs who have very consistent patterns which i can also try and exploit

all in all i think ill just fucking 24 table and grind 1 zillion hands and sip iced tea in boracay when the years over lol
too tired to worry about shit i cant fix

Vegas & question by Stim_Abuser, April 05

So I'll be in Vegas this Thursday-Monday. If any LPers are randomly degening it at the rhino or anything PM a ninja. I'm pretty nice in person :D

Also where is a good place to watch UFC ppvs? I'm not sure if I can order it in my hotel and I don't really want to watch it at the station casinos. Any decent bars where they show it would be awesome.

Also I know lots of people here like to train. If any ones out there training at a cool place that I can come roll at for a day or two lemme know so I can bring my GI.

yup, on da rite track by sawseech, April 05

since making what are probably minor overadjustments i've played a sequence of sessions that have felt wonderfully deterministic. as i played i couldn't help but be reminded of feelings that i've had in the past.

it's funny how a minor pivot in tactics and some range tweaking can lead to almost immediately sensing that a significant loss is nearly impossible and that the only question isn't whether or not i'd win, but how much.

i have to guard against those feelings and take continous measures to stay on point and keep doing what i'm doing. WWSF up. StdDev down. AF infinite. Credibly threaten a strong hand. Take reasonable measures to evade spots wherein i am disadvantaged in any way. Seek out the spot, and take full advantage. If it's close, trust myself and above all, have faith.
