Never stops by OpWestAcct, April 13

Febuary was a magical month where I made $2300. I have lost at least 80% of the sessions I have played in January, March, April. This is just from the past week and half. Honestly, how can I run bad for so long.

Giving Away Private Torrent Site Invites by Carthac, April 13

LP has helped me quite a bit in the last couple months with my poker game, so I wanted to give back, even if it really isn't that much

I am subscribed to a private torrent site, and I have 4 invites to give out. Basically all files have 1.0mb download speed, and its a great community of people that literally LOVE to upload the newest content as fast as possible, including all TV shows, newly released movies, software etc.

Only way I could think of giving them out without getting spammed was to ask of a little effort. Lets go with....post a cool hand that you have had lately. Unless it is just a stupid hand, I will hand out the invites basically to the first 4 that post. GL!

P.S. Unless you know how torrent sites work, please don't post

Engaged by YouGoTGoT, April 12

Engaged! (Pics at the bottom)

Got enganged to my woman last weekend on 4/3. Been dating the love of my life for 6 years since high school and finally pulled the trigger. Honestly I just finally had the money to buy her a ring she deserved. Was a pretty amazing weekend. It was our 6 year anniversary so we were staying in the city for the night(NYC). We stayed at the Marriot Marquis which is a really nice hotel in times square. Wandered around during the day and then had dinner at the view, a really nice restaurant that rotates 360 every hour. At 10PM we went up to the top of the rock (rockefeller center), 86 floors up. After about 10 minutes of enjoying the views, I asked some guy to take a picture of us, then popped the question. SHe freaked out and had no idea it was coming. Everything went smoothly. Only bump was when I had to go thru the medal detector and freaked out about her seeing the ring I had in my pocket.

POKER:

Still grinding 50PLO 6max and HU. Not too many hands put in lately for obvious reasons. Having good results so far and I am addicted to the action, I dont think I can ever enjoy holdem again. THe game is very fukin swingy tho. I have a stop loss of 4 buyins so Im sticking to that, only problem is some days I only get to play for 10 minutes haha.

GOLF:

SO fukin excited that the golf season is here. Masters this weekend was awesome. Played a ton in florida and played about 4 rounds since I got back. Plan on playing every weekend and gettin my game back.

Boku is awesome by PplusAD, April 12

Took a shot at the 15+1 pokerstars today and had a bad run busted all 8 of them
- 128$

then i tried some Nl25 cashgame at FTP and pretty fast lost another 3 BI
- 200$ day ...

Well i simply should give up on cashgame alltogether ... i didnt have any significant success for 2 years -> wont change imo

pretty bad but still in the green for the month afterall.
thx to my + 420$ in the 6.50 18 mans this month.
down ~ 100 $ in the 15+1 and 45mans overall
which makes month so far

+120$

still enough time to reach like + 500 playing lots of the 6.50 18mans for the rest of the month

I was originally inspired to play SNGs instead of cashgame by Boku87 whom many of u know from his famous
100$ to 10K bucks in 15 days playing 18man and 45man exclusivly.

What most people dont know and which i just recently got aware of.
He currently is doing a second probbet.

5$ to 100K in 1 year

he started 25 Cent-SnGs working his way to the 1$ and 2$ and after only 1 weak ha had turned the 5$ into a 1800$ Bankroll again.
30 days after he started from 5$ he had achieved a 9200$ Bankroll
currently after 8 month he is $62.200 in the green having started from 5$

This guy is just plain sick

Alfie! 1000 Games! by Bejamin1, April 12

Was at the game. Pretty special evening to be in the building and to be a Sens fan. I've been watching this guy at ice level my whole life so it's pretty sick to see him honored this way. Easily the greatest Senator to ever play the game and still has a few more years left in his legs. Hoping the team finds some extra energy this year knowing Alfie only has a few more chances to win it all.

Cool story, bros. by hoylemj, April 12

for those of you can't get enough details on the financial meltdown this story sheds more light on how companies waged bets, exploited the markets, and 'got there' while taxpayers and investors ultimately ended up providing stakes to banks who accepted the odds or got slow rolled in the end.

My buddy is a cheater by NewbSaibot, April 12

So I became friends with a host at a local card game I used to play at every week a few months back. As a typical live player he knew relatively nothing about online play, or even poker in general, even though he hosted a game. That isnt to say he didnt dump $12,255 online as of today, but you get what I'm saying. So being the nice guy that I am, and one of the only live players I actually hang out with, I gave him the keys to the castle. I introduced him to cardrunners, dueces cracked, HEM, the forums, free e-books, retail e-books, the works. I just wanted to help a brotha out. Naturally he didnt do a damn thing with it and from that time he has lost an additional 3-4 grand, oh well, FAIL.

So I brought Holly (my wife) to his game one night for fun, and after we left for the night she immediately commented how she was suspicious the dealer and HIS wife, who also happens to play, were colluding. She just said they were in way too many pots raising each other till someone folded, then dumping hands on the river without a showdown. I disagreed simply b/c

1) they both suck
2) there are too many stations for them to successfully pull this off

Anyway, she actually told me she wouldnt even play there again she was so certain lol. Well, I didnt pay too much thought into it, although they do always sit directly across from each other. I dont know much about effective colluding so not sure what the most optimal situation would be.

So just moments ago Holly is looking up their PTR stats for a nice goodnight laugh, as they are pretty horrible, and even I laugh after how much info I shared with him to help them improve, and she notices that one of their accounts is a nemesis of the others in ring games. You can see how many hands you have played vs someone in PTR and it shows them at like 350 hands vs each other. What makes this even more damning is the fact that as I got to know this guy and he realized I knew a lot about online play, he actually began asking me if I knew how to cheat, and where to get poker bots to play lol. I reminded him even a building full of cray super computers cant play NLHE for shit, but now it's all falling into place.

Soooooo, what do you think? Are they cheating scum? What other reason would they be playing with each other online at the same tables for? Plus they have expressed an interest in cheating, they host their own home game, and holly already labeled them cheaters from the first night! Hmmmmmmzzzz.... Me personally, I dont think I'll ever play at their game again.

Oh yea, I was supposed to post pics of our new cars like weeks ago. If the weather didnt suck, I was too lazy, so here are some taken today!

lol bodog by acdawg712, April 11

Besides the fact you can't open more than 4 tables and their traffic is almost 0. Their system is terribad.

Dear Alan,

Thank you for contacting Bodog Poker Customer Service.
With regards to your request we are unable to provide you tournament history, as our system is unable to generate this type of information. Please note we do offer the option for you to review your hand history.
To view the hand activity yourself, please open the Poker Lobby, click on the gray 'Account' button at the top right-hand corner of the screen, select the 'Hand History' button, and enter in the hand ID number.
Thank you very much for writing. Should you have any questions, or require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Poker Customer Service

The low traffic means I know the players pretty well and have done good at PLO 50 recently. I also took 2nd in a 11 tourney for 81 as well today. I'm too lazy to set up HEM on my new comptuer(it's been 5 months). Put on some money on stars, been up and down. I plan to play almost every holdem and plo scoop-low event as well. Graduation will be in 3 weeks and then it will be mainly poker for the good part of 2 and half months. Gl all.
