[Edit : I want to sell at least like 30% so If not enough ppl are interested, I will play fewer events and update this tomorrow, and you guys can still buy % of me.]
Hi,
I'm very interested in playing some SCOOP Events, and Im looking to sell up to 70% of myself for the middle buyin events, since my BR is too small right now, and paying all of them myself would be out of my BR.
Never did this before, so if someone would be interested, write here so I can see if this could work out.
Edit : I'll bump this soon, I want to sell at least like 30% so If not enough ppl are interested, I will play fewer events and update this tomorrow, and you guys can still buy % of me.
So I have a full time job now...FML etc...working about 30 hours a week at Starbucks. But this has changed my poker mindset...I'm no longer desperate to have winning sessions/bink something and my tilting has gone down as a result. Played a pretty long session tonight that wouldn't have been possible even a month ago. Stayed focused the whole time to come through as a winner. Let's see how long this lasts/how far it takes me.
First of all, I'll go ahead and say that I don't get high very often. Maybe 3-4 times a month maximum. When I am high off my ass, though, I LOVE watching planet earth ( on blue ray HD TV obv ). It absolutely blows my mind. Basically, I was hoping that some of you could offer suggestions as to mind-blowing material that you enjoy while high. Try to stick to movies or shows, but music suggestions are also welcome. And links are ftw, but obviously that might be a pain for you so it's not necessary.
giving the euro bookies a good run for their money lately, dazzling is really pushing it but i put it up because im feeling so high of crushing. Mainly betting euro soccer on Betfair, StanJames, Interwetten and ofcourse Pinnacle. doing fine. Not making a killing but still fairly happy considering BWIN screwed me over in a major way! Gotta warn you all:
NEVER EVER put any money on that site, they are thieves, rogues, scum of the dirtiest muddiest swampground. i just place a couple of winners and they close my account and seize my funds. The motherfuckers. If anyone pulls some weight around the sportsbettingworld let me know if you can help out. I'd like to resolve it without having to hook up with my attorney (i rather spend it on him then give it to those m'fers but prefer to spend it in my own fashion.
today i'm seeing no odds that i fancy so i got nothing for you.. (not that i would expect anyone to put too much faith into it but you never know who might want to put something on and isn't fancying anything himself.
still hoping Barca will pull through to the finals of CL. Preferrably to a final against Bayern, that would be my dream final!
"Perhaps the most pulse-quickening topic of all is “conditional probability” — the probability that some event A happens, given (or “conditional” upon) the occurrence of some other event B. It’s a slippery concept, easily conflated with the probability of B given A. They’re not the same, but you have to concentrate to see why. For example, consider the following word problem.
Before going on vacation for a week, you ask your spacey friend to water your ailing plant. Without water, the plant has a 90 percent chance of dying. Even with proper watering, it has a 20 percent chance of dying. And the probability that your friend will forget to water it is 30 percent. (a) What’s the chance that your plant will survive the week? (b) If it’s dead when you return, what’s the chance that your friend forgot to water it? (c) If your friend forgot to water it, what’s the chance it’ll be dead when you return?"
The ability to properly interpret statistics and to accurately assess probabilities is a key component to success in various games that I play such as poker, fantasy sports and sports betting. However, it is also an important part of making good decisions in everyday life and I think this book has given me a slightly better perspective. A lot of the book is common sense and won't be very useful for anyone with a statistics educational background but I definitely think that it is a recommended read for most people and especially for poker players whose livelihood depends on their ability to use probability to make good decisions.
[Q] program displaying BBby DarkDevildog, April 26
Hey I was curious to know if there is a HUD program out that dispays bets/raises/stacks in big blinds? I dont really want to see the money and find it would be alot less distracting & easier(mathmatically) to figure out odds etc. Especially when moving up
I recently heard on npr that U.S was updating IEGA or w/e the hell its called to make it even more difficult to deposit/withdraw to online poker rooms. Can anyone verify this? I tried looking it up on different boards and even news but there doesn't seem to be much interest so I interpreted this to mean the new legislation won't affect U.S as much as I thought?
Also for the people who play poker for their primary source of income, do you pay taxes? Do you get benefits? The more detailed the better (if it's not too personal).
I think my PLO experiences have helped me a lot with my NLHE game as I am playing a lot less scared.
I'm particularly satisfied with my redline
And pleasant surprise, at the end of this crazy ordeal I find $200 lying in my rakeback account O_O cause holy shit PLO gives rakeback like no other
Anyway I'm thinking about moving over to pokerstars because I think I'm gonna have lots of time this summer to hopefully be able to play a lot and take advantage of the better rewards system.
I currently have 15k FTPs right now though and I'm thinking that I'll save 67k for the 24 inch monitor before switching.
runes of magic looks a bit like wow, nicest graphics in any mmo ive played that doesnt use the grungy style of aion
you choose 1 primary class and 1 secondary class. you can switch your primary to your secondary at an inn. the skills of your secondary are restricted. basically you multiclass.
So I don't think I've ever been so tilted in a winning month. With rakeback it'll probably end up around 20k or so, which is nice. Last week has been fairly brutal, heh. Probably not playing any significant amounts or stakes for the rest of the month due to a test and VALBORG. Overall for the year I'm not up as much as I've hoped, but I'm still making a fair bit. Pretty swingy though.
I have some goals for may though:
- Working out 6 times a week.
- Put in a lot of hands while not playing to many tbls.
- Eat well
Basically may will be the first "summer vacation" month for me since I'll miss my last test anyway due to poker obligations (lol) and therefore I won't study much (might do the test later, but w/e) and I'll spend the month doing meaningful shit such as: Getting in shape, playing poker and fishing. It'll be glorious.
