So its very difficult for me to put what just happend to me into words but here it its....

So about 5 months ago I made a blog about quitting and got into an argument with Baal (zomg wat r the odds amiright) and after seeing whamms post today decided I should supply an update.
Havent smoked since, had a couple instances of strong cravings that I attribute to feeling that emptiness we have deep down, but Ive managed to stay clear and I dont really expect to ever relapse again.

Seriously just get a hold of The Easy way by Allen Carr and just really get into it in a big way, get over the cheesiness of it and whatnot and it will make quitting really easy.

Currently trying to get my old man to quit but I think it might actually be easier to win an argument with Baal.

today was the first day of my challenge (as mentioned in last post) and started off pretty well. i played for about 3 hours, so i felt pretty good. i ran great, no complains. but i can def tell that my v-betting has been improving tremendously. increased hand reading not only lets you know when you're beat but more importantly lets you bet accordingly to get thinner v-bets.

anyway i reflected upon my life as it's career fair here @ uf and am pretty pissed with myself. i pretty much got a worthless degree and am somewhat resentful towards uf for even offering such a major. i feel swindled to be quite frank. i really wish i had tried harder in college but imagine every human being goes through this.

i've been thinking about what i wanted to do with my life since graduation (may-ish) and have been waiting tables and sitting on my ass for a long time. i guess it's kinda like those high school summer breaks. where i stayed home for like 10 straight days and slept/eat/tv did absolutely nothing. u get so sick and bored to the point where you go out and get shit done (like getting a job, making money, partying). i feel the same way now. i'm so sick of having such a bleak future and am ready to do something about it. after thinking about it for a really long time, i think i want to go to law school. i hear it opens up alot of opportunity and that's something i wanna have.

while were talking about colleges here is a small list of useful degrees in no particular order:
electrical engineering (any engineering in general is a nice degree and is much more versatile than i thought because it's intertwined with business these days)
pre-pharm/pre-health
finance/accounting

main point though is to try hard because that really does leave all doors open in w/e degree you choose.

yes yes YEEEESSSS!

Today I have finally finished the diary and report from my 13 months of work. I worked on it slowly over the past 10 days, but I ended up having to write 16k words in the past 3 days. I focused on summarizing of what I have learned in my 17k words journal, and there was not much time left for the 10k word 'academic' report that I actually get marked on. Big surprise - its complete shit. But it should be aight, as I need only some 35% mark, and my diary shows the magnitude of work that I have actually done, and loads things I've learned while working in Finance.

Its was a great experience, I have hopefully made impact and some processes that I have designed or improved will be used for years. But now...Finally...I am a student and the whole work experience is wrapped up.

I will finally start to put in some major volumes in this poker thingy (I am at NL50 again, lost 4 BI at NL100) You guys can't even understand how relieved I am right now. (and tired, 3 hours is not a lot of sleep, and them 3litres of energy drinks used in last 2 days *might*catch up with me)

Hi all,

Just had a 4 hour session tonight. Made around $50 playing 4 tables, 6 max, 0.05/0.10 NL. Didn't do to well the first 2 hours, but made a lot in hour 3. 4th hour I didn't do to much. My bank roll is now at $190~ so I have almost doubled it since Saturday. :D

So some questions for the more experienced players. What would be a good bank roll for playing the 0.05/0.10 NL games? And what are your opinions on the software I should be using? Poker Edge 5 is really helping me out, and PokerTracker 3 is helping with looking at my overall play. They both seem expensive though. What other good alternatives are out there?
