I've been sick for the past couple of days but haven't let that stop me from playing poker. Actually I haven't had a single losing session while I've been sick.
I kept the session quite short, at 720 hands cause I'm definetly not playing my A-game atm. Although it's a small sample size my won at SD % was a whopping 37.5&!
So thanks to a few heaters I was up over 3 bi at best, but then procedeed to donk it off with bad plays and quitting while I was still ahead. If you can call a 6.9$ being ahead... Bah, should have stopped right after those aces
Thanks to my sickness I also missed an exam at school and a birthday party of a good friend so this is seriously -EV. I'm gonna watch a movie and cry myself to sleep or something
This blog will stop suxx0rby DustySwedeDude, February 02
So like, my blog sucks and stuff. I'll try to stop the crying and just like be fun n' stuff and maybe drunkpost from time to time. Anyway, I found some really nice youtube-clips from HSP that I'd like to post:
- HSP; "Best Of Mike Matusow" (wow, you know how gay that sounds?!")
- "Phil Hellmuth Finest Moments" (the beginning is kinda bad, but the rest is kinda funny, mostly since I can't stand Hellmuth)
so last nite was rly interesting. so wykmg
(whyyoukickmydog) wouldnt respond to me on aim while playing 4 tables for like 40 minutes...so i was like stupid mother fucker(kinda drunk @ this pT but not rly, beginning to feel it n shit) si im thinkin if he wont talkt o me i might as well play him heads up. so i sit @ his NL400 table and we begin to play. so its pretty even for the first couple minutes, i went down round 40-60 then up 20 or so. then after a few minutes more i was stuck 100, then a few more im stuck 200 and im steaming more or less cuz he wouldnt talk to me on aim and im like asdofsajf WTF. so this third guy sits and im like doisfj LWEAFE I WANT HU and he stays. so were all playin for like 10 minutes and im still pissed wired wont talkt o me and then wired sits out and im like ZOMG OMG WTFD WTOF WTDF uve gotta be fucking kidding me that itch. so im playing this guy HU and im like look only reason im playing is cuz im stuck like 200 and i wanna try to get it back. the day before i had lost like 1.2k and the day of this i had won 400 back. so to lose 200 of my winnings back kinda sucked. so im playing this guy and another guy sits in. and hes ss obv. so i raise from botton and call a small reraise w Q8c 3 handed. flop comes 3c 8x Tc. so im like weeeeee he checks i bet 55 into 74 dollar pot or something. he pushes for like 150 total so 100 more. i call and improve on every street. turn Q river Kc LOL. he shows ATo. i show pwnage. so i say to the other nitty fuck who interrupted wired and my game i dont rly wanna play nemore now that im bout breakeven. so this other guy, a ss, sits in. so im like well maybe ill stay so i stay and table fills and im getting progressively drunker. i get QQ UTG around when i had anticipated leaving. and i raise it to 12 and the nitty dude after me pushes for like 220 total or something so i end up calling and board comes KcKhJh =(. so im like eirjsfads;fsadf NOOOOOOOOOO and he says "that hit you didnt it" im like what? lol i think turn was blank and riv was blank im like i beat nothing lol rly excely AT AQ right AJ too i guess. well he flips 99 and im like i fucking rule ftw!!! and that was shipped my way. so upon having to do other things i leave shortly after. so after being stuck 200 to wired i end up 800 from that point. so at this point im up like 1050 on day. most of which being a drunk idiot. so i come back and im playing w wired later that night again and after table fills up were sitting w a few regs anda fish or two. and this hand happens: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/140681
so basically what i do as a joke whenever a friend watches me play is ill act like ima call by right clicking the call button then left clicking it loud so it sounds as if i called or raised allin(what i did here to humor myself). well apparently i didnt do what i thought i was trying and it just clicks allin. so i was like noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo and then he clals and im like fuck my money is gone. well as u can see he is not very talented. tom wouldve spiked 6 kings on that flop. so i win that and wired starts telling me i need to leave the table. out of respect i stayed for a lil while tho.
so later that night this couple is arguing outside my room in the front of my building as someone always is. so my window is open and my friend goes up to the window and says "go fuckin fight w ur gf somewhere else"(were both drunk btw) so hes like u ur real tough buddy talkin shit from a window lol and starts goin off for a minute then calms and starts arguing w his gf again. 20 minutes later my friend goes up to the window again and says "go fucking beat ur gf somewhere else" and dude goes OFF! hes like o yeah buddy ur really fuckin tough talkin shit through a window why dont u come down here and fuckin fight me ill kick the shit outta ur bitch ass. really tough buddy blah blah blah and then is like ima be outside ur door tomorrow ur really tough buddy blah blah LOL it was soooo funny. good times and a good nite.
My first 'big' tourney win :)by Gawuss, February 02
Yesterday I haven't played cash games just because of lack of free time. After school and my german lessons I went back home and made my homeworks (dunno why... I usually don't do it ).
Then my cousin asked me to play in the VIP freeroll, in which he has qualified, cause he was playing live in some club and had no time. There was only 32 ppl playing. I do suck in tourneys so thought I would be suckouted by some fish. However, it didn't happen. Luckily I went to final table with only 5 places paid, ended 4th and won $600 ( actually $300 for me, and $300 for my cousin it was a good deal I think ). So now my bankroll is more than $3100 - finally pretty good for 100nl.
Yay This month was a good one I think. I haven't played many hands but I've more than doubled my bankroll . I'm happy I ran finally good and don't have big downswings. When I'll hit $6k I'm gonna move to Party Poker cuz I hear good things about it. Lots of fish, really ez to win I'd like to play 200NL with 5k in March and I believe I will :D
Total hands played: 13939
Rakeback: $243
Total Profit(with rb): $1570
PTBB/100 hands(about): 4.5
After 2 days I am up 210 at NL 100 after playing around 3 hours. In general I am noticing people 3 betting lighter at NL 100, but outside of that is playing very similar to NL 50, which is nice.
One thing that I notice still at NL 100 is that people are still not focused on making the right plays and good ABC poker. Many are too concerned with making moves. Sometimes it is slowplaying a set on a drawy board, other times it is check-raising the river with a monster. Too much TV poker for many of these players, or what we call FPS. Don't get me wrong, I greatly appreciate it when I play connectors, flop 2 pair, and only lose 20 at NL 100 to a flopped set.
I did a session review with and they helped point out my lack of aggression again, something I slip into. Taking a few little stabs and 2 barreling against people I suspect are floaters did good for me last night.
Lastly, there is a good thread in one of the stickies on 2+2 on stages of evolution. I feel that I am getting to see the light at the end of the tunnel at the lost stage. If you have not read it, the lost stage is you are past the don't know what you don't know mindset, and you have realized now what you don't know.
If you're one of those light 3-bettors, watch yourself, it'll get ya...
I've run through hell to see heavenby PetrBlaha, February 02
Proper topice name : couple few days back from 4th day
As I mentioned in my whiny blog post about 12 days ago, I've run really bad. I've lost nearly half of my BR, suffered bad beats, played bad hands etc etc.
Next week I couldnt play any more poker because we we're preparing for pron so I have to make sort of movie for our class. Here is what we presented . After it I could finally play some poker.
With my last 79$ I have to rebuild my stack and gain some confidence. So 29th January I've started to play again. I've deposited on partypoker so I could have that 100$ bonus. It was for start really hard to play well and calmly but I think I've managed to play that way and it payed off. Yesterday night I've clear it all and not only clear but (as on the other days) I've played well and end out with 290$. And I still have to clear (100fpp more) my 120$ bonus at PS so I expect to go to nl25 pretty soon if nothing will fuck me up.
I hope I've gain some poker skill during those days and that I'll be able to play even better (which is for average LP.net player still horrible, but at least I'm trying )
21 january 07 - 1st February 07
BR : 290$ (+210$) (+120$ on ps waiting to clear) = 430$
stakes : 0.05/0.10 $
Shorthanded tables under way! Aggression, aggression and once more aggression - this is the key to be a winning player. I hope I'll keep up the good work, stay focused and win a lot of candy $_$. Please, Poker Gods, make my dream come true .
Because of tougher opponents and many tough desicions occuring on SH tables from now on I'll post not the biggest pot hands, but the most interesting ones. Enjoy! http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/140719 - the only thing that fitted here for me was a str8 draw http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/140721 - should I fold it on a SH table? http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/140722 - was that call too loose? 88 was a great possibility, especially with that scare card coming out on the turn.
My stats will be posted after 25k hands.
Lost about 300$ tonigt playing drunk, even the hands i lost in were pure luck owell like meaning i should have won or w.e, BR is about 2800 now
I think my drunks night would have been ok if it was not for this hand http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/140649 **this was not one of the hands where i think i should have won
Well so it's 6am here and I've just got home after cash game session in casino. Ran like shit but ended up in the green anyway. I'll post the details later because now I gotta get ready for work cause I start at 7am. 2-3 cans of redbull and I should be allright. At least for the first couple of hours.
Hey all, figured I'd maybe try updating this thing once in awhile since I said I'd try. Not too into blogging but might be a few of you out there interested in how I'm doing. Put in a few sessions to start the new month. Ran pretty bad overall but played pretty well. Definitely happy. Been playing 100nl on PS since I withdrew all my FTP dough because I'm a scared American. I'm a full ring player for the uninformed, but I've been dabbling in six max trying to get the hang of it for when full ring table selection is poor (which is more and more frequent).
I'll have to get imageshack or something up so I can put up some graphs and PT ss's. Here are some hands of note though:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/140559
I played this pretty poorly against bluffmaster corwin. Definitely should have shoved the turn. He claims he was on air, who knows.
I have a friend who was playing poker for a living but just got a job . So, i'm making this blog to chart how much i make vs. how much he makes at his stupid job to prove to him and the world that work sucks. He makes about $550 per week, so thats 3 buyins a week which i will do EZ. I'll update it every week. Wish me luck!
I played some NL50. Even though I lost some cash, I saw a very important thing. Damn! My last stats are great for SH tables. Time to begin a new journey :D.
I lost some tourneys also, I think I'll end my turnament career until I read HoH. I lost a $16.50 360-max, $20+$2 and $10+$1.
I'll post some of my stats since I finished playing NL50 FR (4 now):
VP$IP: 14.11
PFR: 6.78
AF: 1.19
BB/100: 2.18
Hands: 1,467

Total hands: 19,168
Total balance: +$418.25
Tournament play review:

Ok, so I’m down a bit today too. Not a lot or anything but just over a buy-in. The good thing is that I’m playing good. I’m a bit more passiv then uselly since I’ve found out that most of the regulars on Unibet are really callingstations loves to slowplay overpairs pf and call to the river even if the board is something like 22399 and half the table saw the flop… Anyway, I didn’t really catch any hands or anything (2 sets in over 2 hours of multitabling and no action on either of them) so I’m kinda happy with the result. I’d like to thank Trey for his blog-post where he made fun of people (me?) bitching which made me realise that I just should be able to take this shit. It’s not the end of the world, so what I’f I hit a bad run of card, lost a few buy in and then tilted away 2 or 3 more? It’s not good or anything, but I’ll just have to deal with it like a man.
My downswing has soon reached 8 buyins, my overpairs has been in the read for like a week and if I flop top 2 the flushdraw will hit on the river. The good thing is that I don't pay them off anymore. I don't think I've had one swing this bad before, but I guess that it's time for it now. My br is down to 3.8k and I'll move down if I hit 3.5.
So I was bored and decided to make a blog... I hope someone finds it interesting and hopefully posting here will work as a sort of anti-tilt tool for me.
Anyways, I started poker in late 2005 by grinding 1c/2c limit tables on stars with the 2$ I got from Muhweli. After a month or two, I got up to about 20$, true balla roll eh? I then proceeded to donk it all to the 1.2$ SnG's. After that I bought 20$ or so to stars from a friend, and donked all of that too.
After that I decided to get the LPnet promotion and moved to NL, setmining full ring tables. At the time partpoker had NL5 and NL10 tables open for only 45 days after you had created your account. In that time I made my roll into 500$ so I had 20 buy-ins for NL25 and moved there.
For months I was going up and down, not really getting anywhere, then I decided to give 6max a try and it worked out great for me. I quickly moved to NL50 and also moved my roll to stars because of a promotion they had back in october or something. NL50 was working great for me and it wasn't long until I had a roll for NL100.
Just after moving up there I luckboxed a few wins from 180p SnGs, one from 22$ and two from 11$ ones -> insta roll boost holla! After this my roll was sitting at a comfortable 4k$ for NL100 but then something went wrong...
I started tilting like a monkey and over the course of a month or so I managed to tilt my roll down to $1.5k.
I realized it was mostly of me playing badly/tilting so I decided to take a small break which turned in to three weeks of no poker. I wasn't even missing poker at all but then decided to give it a try and so far I've been much more tilt resistant and been playing good imo. I've suffered a few beats but still I've managed to make an ok profit, last two days I've been running real hot and I feel goooood!
My plan is to grind my roll to something like $2.5k and then take another try at NL100 with my new and improved tilt resisting skillz. I'll track my process and feelings about poker here and maybe post something totally unrelated to poker too.
Oh and here's my graph after getting back in business:
Two days ago, I really ######### my arm in a basketball game. I went up to block a guy's shot and when I landed I used my right arm to catch myself. It twisted and made some kind of popping noise. Don't think it's broken but I'm going to get X-Rays today.
In poker, I've just started playing 200NL. Haven't been running that well, but I'm happy wih how I've played for the most part. I'll put some hands in later for people to comment on.
