Then Wednesday i tried the $30 + R MTT at the sheraton 4 points hotel and casino ran good and ended wining it got paid $305. Thursday i tried te $60 + R MTT at the Holiday in make some bad plays and busted early. and today i played the $80 + R 3k garanteed at the sheraton to end up winning it got paid 2.1K. so im up like 2.5k roughly this week since i quit my job lol btw i never rebuyed so i think i run goods
Tilted again and kept playing NL50by Oddeye, July 07
I got sucked out at NL50 like 2 time and I was already at 850. I tought it would go well, but no I run into full house of 6 on river vs KQ fullhouse. Then straight vs lower straight + flush draw where he hits flush. I guess I can't blame him. So that 4 buyin total buyin and apparently I lost trace of some 2 buyin I lost while playing so it goes around 6 buyin... soooo 550$ bankroll. Its so funny how I move to NL50 so slowly, go paly NL50, get sucked out and tilt until im REALLY down.
My blog today is dedicated to being thankful for running good. Good runs are very often taken for granted and a lot of retards like to chalk up there hot streaks to their own personal skill. I started out having a tough day today and ended up running well to finish in the green.
Thank you magical poker gods for allowing me to run well and profit today.
I've decided to post some of the random shit to keep people updated.
Anyways I've been looking for a team/gym to train with for a while now and I think I found it.
Team Bison
A local team that trains M-F 7-9.
I got there at 7 and proceeded to get my ass handed to me everytime i rolled with someone.
Seeing I have no BJJ or Submission skills I found myself tapping everytime I rolled with someone. These guys were no jokes either. Everyone there has been training over a year and most have a few amateur fights on them.
I think it'll be a great place for me to get my ass kicked the first couple months. To learn from very skilled fighters like I will be able to is really awesome.
The only time I ever got close to getting someone to tap is I put someone in a tight headlock. He reversed it after about 10 seconds though :-(
I even ended up rolling with the coach of the gym. He taught me a few quick fixes to what I was doing wrong. Another guy taught me how to effectively get out of the full mount when you're on bottom.
Another guy taught me how to armbar and also the Guillotine choke.
I'm hoping to go T Th for this next week. Then after that. M W F.
I had a pretty bad session yesterday (down about 2k) but other than the I've been running hotter then God. Really nice, after only 4 days a lot of regs on unibet won't play me HU when tables breaks or when I sit down at empty table. Pretty funny.
So basicly I'll try to get like 40k hands this month and my orginal goal was to make 10k but now I kinda hope that I'll do at least 14k (100k SEK)and hopefully even more. I'm really on top of my game most of the time and I think it really true that you won't play your best unless it hurts to lose a bit.
Tuesday night/Wednesday morning I was trying to play tight-agressive, but my true inside was still weak-tight. That led to me making bets, especially in reraised pots, that were too small yet those were bets that would make me pot committed no matter what happened on the river.
Lately I have been reading NL Theory and Practice by Sklansky and Miller. Somewhere they suggest that "open raising 6x with AK in late position make no sense. This hand can rarely win a big pot, but it might win a moderate amount if we run into hands like KT and A9. So why are we trying to get these to fold?"
And then I did this: http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/224339
Preflop was bad, I survived flop, but turn play was the final nail in my coffin. Opponent's flop lead set off alarm bells. But I mis-interpreted the turn check as a sign of weakness -- bye bye $32.
I did have a great time on one of my tables. I had the pleasure of milking 4+ BIs from Budambe (my only ATM of the day) before exacting some revenge on a regular:
Just finished a really swingy/long session and finished up 1 buyin. Wish I could get PokerGrapher working because this session would definetely make for a pretty funny graph. I played 1.2k hands, which doesn't seem like a lot but for only having 4-5 slow tables up it's pretty fucking long. I started out running real hot as a few fish literally threw their money at me. It was unbelievable how bad the play was.
this guy is such a lagtard, especially in rr'ed pots, so i was hoping to entice a shove by betting kinda small on the flop; i'm still 100% sure 10's are way ahead of his range on the turn and the results showed how bad he is http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/225887
This easily could have been a 3-5 buyin session if I had ran a little better but whatever.
On a side note, I finally got a coach and worked out a long term profit sharing deal with him. I don't know if he wants more students or not so I won't say who he is. We've only had 2 30 minute sessions so far but I feel as though I've already fixed a couple of really big leaks in my game.
Oh yeah just got the new T.I. CD and it's sickk. Defintetely recommend for everyoneto go out and get it. Here's a link to my favorite song on the album.
Ok I'm starting to play/run better as I get used to these stakes. I still have troubles in some basic situations, mostly when tangling with regulars. I'll be posting more hands to the medium stakes section to get some help and improve my game . Overall I feel I comfortable playing there, still too nitty though :X running at 18/14.5/3. I just can't see how you play like 24/20 or something 8D HALP PLX
Gonna get platinium star in 2.9k VPP's too, ship it!!
I took down a 500+1max rebuy donkament. Thats so fkn sweet win, was trying to win some NLHE tourney since 2005 but never placed better than #2(like 8-10 times).
The top 1 prize monies shipped: +31000$
it was a 109 players field with some rebuys(link) http://www.pokerclubmanagement.com/index?ln=en
I'm such a pro and don't even need to advertise how drunk going to be in a while.
Tonight I had a great session on NL50. Managed to win alot of BI's, while playing my best during the whole session.
I'll probably be playing more later, here's my stats from today's session;
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 3104 hands and saw flop:
- 215 out of 400 times while in big blind (53%)
- 119 out of 405 times while in small blind (29%)
- 314 out of 2299 times in other positions (13%)
- a total of 648 out of 3104 (20%)
Pots won at showdown - 77 of 149 (51%)
Pots won without showdown - 376
Got pretty wasted after this post and played a thousand hands.
Started off well, but after putting people to the test like every single hand I started getting called like mad. Lost a few BI's, oh well. Did rake in one monster pot;
Haven't posting for a while, because I think that I have no big deals to say. Just wanna talk about my goals in July. Since my starting bankroll was like:
- cash roll - $1000
- tournament roll - $1800
I think that im gonna grind the NL50 till I reach 50k hands (I wont be playing any tournaments but 2 / week -> summer ranking tournaments) so its nothing surprisingly.
BRAG
Im working out ACT (Aerobic Circuit Training - but thats no point) and A6W - this is so fuc!@# awesome. After 10 days I see the results. Since Ive had small spare tire, now I see an outline of little 'radiator' at my belly -> coool Hope that at the end of training (day 42 I guess) I will have awesome tumtum
After i was breakeven for quite some time (75sng)today
i managed to make + 21 $ for being my best day on Pokerstars ever.
(I ve made several 100$+ days at PartyPoker but i was a gambler back then and just lucked some tournies when i wasnt even rolled for them)
So its actually my best day when playing overrolled at micro stakes
besides that there are several other good news.
1.) I got a PartyPoker reloadbonus of 40% up to 100$
2.) I got a new RL banking account that gives me 4,2% a year. Which is about 200$ extra cash and i dont even have to do anything for it
3.) I got a promise for my 3 week holiday Job which is another save 1200 $
4.) I tryed some shots at the 6+50 SNG 2 table and they seem quite beatable + profitable .(though my sample size is low [played only7] ) I ll give them a serious try when my BR reaches 200$ ( 30 buy ins)
Woohoo, got my wallet replaced and no monies were found to be missing which is awesome. Well minus the $2 cash but whatever not counting that. Been playing a little on stars at Panera when I get the time and I'm pretty much running utterly shitty yet still pulling a 15% ROI in the $5 and $10 sng's. The sample size is just horrendously small but my BR is growing slowly.
