Poker has been going well for me on NL25 but whenever I move to NL50 I seem to get owned and need to move back down. Anyway some graphs of my play since the 23rd June:
NL50 has been reaaaaaaaaally annoying, five shots at it so far. The players seem no better and I feel like im playing the same as what was working for me at NL25 but the results just aren't satisfactory. Thinking of buying lessons as I don't want to blame this on bad luck, I probably have some leaks which need to be destroyed . My confidence in my play is pretty low at the moment, I was playing ~2,000 hands a day a week ago but now I just don't feel like loading up the tables.
Interested in seeking backing for the FTOPS/WCOOP.by BigRed0000, July 17
Yello everyone.
As many of you may know, the Full Tilt "FTOPS (some acronym I have no idea what stands for) series and the Pokerstars WCOOP (World championship of online poker, whoo I know one.) are rapidly approaching. I have enough to put myself through all of the NLHE and PLHE events in both series' that are 200+15 dollar entries.
However I want to play in both Main Events and all the rebuy tournies (except the 200 ones, as I believe I may be outclassed in that). I'm making this blog just to see if there's any interest out there.
Feel free to look me up on officialpokerrankings.com. If anyone is interested feel free to PM me.
As for trust issues... I like to think i'm trustworthy and hopefully TwistedEcho would vouch for me? Anyway thi stuff can be discussed further if there's any interest. Thanks.
I'm starting to think that 9 tables may be hindering my game a bit. I'm running extremely tight (15/13 over 16k hands), and I CAN'T FUCKING GET PAID. Near the end of my session, I closed all but 3 of my tables, and I noticed a significant difference.
First, I only have one monitor, and when I run 9 tables, each table is pretty small. It's tough for me to see my PAHUD stats and even usernames. If a villain doesn't have an avatar I recognize, I probably won't realize who I'm playing against. Secondly, when I'm running 3-4 tables, I can really concentrate on every action; I go into pure robot mode (unless there's a villain with a lot of history at my table) when I 9-table.
The problem is that I only have an hour a day to play. 9-tabling I can get in ~700 hands/hour, while I can only play 400-500 hands/hour 4-tabling.
I'll be coming up on my 3rd month of break-even poker, and I'll continue to 9-table through July, but if something doesn't change, I think I'll try to cut back to 4 beginning in August.
Anyhow, I was in Vegas last weekend for a convention, and it was hot as all balls. Pretty boring trip; arrived Saturday afternoon, had an early dinner, then saw Phantom (fag!) Saturday night. Went to a club at the Mirage after dinner, and then crashed out. Woke up early Sunday morning, and hit the $1/1/2 game. It had a $100 buy-in, but if you dipped under $100, you can buy-in for another $100. So I paid a big blind, then topped off at $198 I haven't played a live game in...almost 6 months, and it draaaaaaaaaagged. Stacked some Canadian cowboy on a Tdxdx flop with AKd, he showed KTo, turn bricked, and the river brought an ace Cashed out ~$350 after about 5 hours. Although I enjoy the action/social aspect of live play, the downtime was unbearable. I had to resort to ordering a Crown/coke (or 5) just to pass the time in between hands. The convention was...a convention, and I flew back home in the evening.
My buddy took care of my precious angel Tank while I was away.

This guy was running pretty aggressively - 27/19/7.5 over 150 hands. I'm not completely comfortable with my call on the flop, but I don't think he had much. Not exactly sure how he folds red QQ+ on the turn if he did have me beat. He asked me afterward if I flopped a set. Really upset that I didn't get paid here.
So once it was final that RAINKHAN made the final table me and alex got our plane tickets and flew out about 7 hours later, we landed but were exhausted from basically waiting to see if he final tabled online and staying up to 5am so we just didnt sleep and got our flight at 11am, we landed in vegas and took a cab to the rio (where the ME FT is held, and where we stayed last time). We met up with actiondj who got us our hotel room and ate some steaks and then crashed. Our hotel room this time is the same quality but the view is alot nicer and we have giant windows. we're also 31 levels up instead of 3, which i think is pretty cool but now the elevator is farther away which is probably good i need to run some miles.
After we woke up we met up with bigbobm (who flew in a few hours after us and had also went to sleep and woken back up) went and got some food at like 2:30am (steak again for me obv), and then headed over to the wynn to meet up with cosmo. We got to the wynn and found cosmo, actiondj, pavel, lyric, and mangod sitting in the poker room, 3 of em playing the 5/10 live game. Cosmo proceeded to tell us how hes a nit and lost a 6k pot. me alex bigbobm and cosmo went back to his hotel room at the wynn so he could update day 3 of his blog even though hes been here for forever, and we watched aqua teen hunger force (the movie) which was pretty disappointing imo. alex fell asleep and was basically impossible to wake up, cosmo hit him with pillows, jumped on him, and put water on his face and was still unsuccessful. We watched some videos of rainkhan or something and then me alex and bigbob headed back to the rio.
we're all planning to wake up at like 9:30 and heading down to get in line to the ME FT since apparently khan can only reserve 4 seats, so hopefully we'll be able to get in with the general public and just see the entire thing or reserve some seats and be able to switch out n stuff. im going to go and try to sleep for like 2 hours now and hopefully be able to stay awake through the entire ME FT.
Played the biggest pot of my life tonight at 5/10. Started the session in a 5 handed game w/ my roommate Pavel. I stacked the guy to my left and he quickly got up from the table after that. Another guy left, and it was 3 handed with Pavel, myself and this tournament pro named Anna Wroblewski:
So they moved Pavel and me and Anna played heads-up for a few minutes. She played... like a tournament player. What can I say? Folding was not in her bag of tricks. She got value-towned fairly easily. So anyways, she gets moved to a main table and a few minutes later I follow her to the same table. I proceed to see the following hands:
Hand #1:
Anna limps utg, there is a raise from a young kid to $50, active young kid on the button makes it $200. Folded back around to Anna who makes it $500. Original raiser folds, active kid calls. Flop comes 5-J-Q rainbow. She bets $700 into a $1100ish pot. Active kid calls. Turn comes a 7. She checks, active kid shoves for $3,000. She calls and has 75o... and it's good vs this active kid's AQ. Pow! Ship a big pot to Anna.
Hand #2:
Anna raises in earlier position. Gets 5 callers. Flop comes 9d-5c-6d, she bets, there is a call, then a super nit raises to $300 with 2 players left behind him. Folded around to Anna, she calls, and so does the other guy in between. Turn comes Ks, she checks, other guy checks, and super nit bets all-in for $1800 into a $1200 pot. Anna says something along the lines of "Am I good enough to fold this? No... I call" So she calls, and the other guy folds. River bricks with 7s. Anna tables AdKd, and super nit obviously has 87.
Now the hand vs me:
Anna straddles UTG, there is 5 callers, I complete in the big blind with KsQs, she defends her straddle and raises to $100. Gets 2 callers, I call. Flop comes Kc-Qd-9s. I check, Anna bets $300. Super donk calling station calls. This is where I might have made a mistake. I have $2500 behind at this point. I make it $1000 to go. Anna gives me a 10 second stare down and says "All-in". Super donk insta folds, and I barf. I count out my chips and I have $1500 behind. I then look at her and give her the "I think I should fold. If you have me beat here it is such a cooler because you're retarded." Then I called. I asked her if she had JT, she nodded. Sick life. Turn and river bricks off and she tables JT and rakes the pot. So gross...
I should have just reloaded and played on like a real solider, but the pain of losing a $6k pot to a tourney donk was just a little too much to handle so I walked it off for a bit. I'm like so bitter right now...
Never really been welcomed and liked on LP, but its still a great place to learn and improve. Last few days have been no different, and probably even worse for me because of my first blog entry/brag post. Everyone thinks I am a luckbox fish, and I run hot, and my advice is always wrong yadda yadda yadda.
Anyways, nolan gave me some good advice and just told me to ignore idiots who berate me. Anyways, today I played a monster session of 5470 hands because I only played 2k hands the day before. Below is the results.
Had a really competetive tournament day today, that started off slowly when I didn't cash in the first few for the day.
Then I got really deep in a $10 180 man SnG, but lost a key flip AT vs 66 with 15 to go that crippled me, and I soon departed afterwards. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/232673
After that finished I was really focusing on the 3R, and had built up a monster stack. I was sitting on 70k with 330/2500 people to go when my wireless unexpectedly goes out. 5 minutes pass, 20 minutes, and hour. Before I know it, its 3 hours later and I'm out of the tournament in 104th. I was in the top 20% in chips and playing my absoulte A game, no telling if I would have won it tonight.
So..that cash pretty much gets me back to even for the day, and we'll give it another go tomorrow.
I'm only doing 4-6 tournaments at a time now, instead of trying to cruise with 10-16 going. The quality of my hands has vastly improved, going to keep playing like this.
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO AT THIS GAME TO WIN. FUCKING FLOPPING SETS VS MY BIG HANDS JESUS WHEN DO I GET THAT? FUCKING NEVER. GOD FUCKING DFAMNIT THIS GAME IS FUCKING HARD WOWOWOW NICE ONE U MAED UR FUCKING SET AGAIN AND I HAVE TPTK GOOD JOB BET U COULDTN FOLD IF PLACES WERE REVERSED FUCK U JESUS ONE TIME CAN I RUN FUCKING HOT
i love LP, and there isn't much i'd change if i could... but i think maybe increasing the number of hands shown on the right
------->
to 10/15 would be beneficial, and wouldn't really change the look of the site. it seems to me that once the hands go off the "top 5," not many people view/comment on them. and when someone posts a bunch of hands at once, a lot of hands might go unseen.
i realize that if its a really important hand, everyone posts in the forums..which is fine. just a minor improvement that might be implemented, but i didn't want to waste a thread on it. hopefully one of the mods/admins sees this and takes it under consideration
Pretty much the only thing that is going right these days, I finally made it to Supernova but boy am I running like shit.
For the first time in a long long time it affected me and I had some tilty hands. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/232508 lol must say it felt soooo good. fuckin guy the only hand i didnt put him on.
and that QQ call which i posted in hand discussion...
i swear i dont do it... often.
so here is a graph of 100nl so far and bit of 200nl
...what is going on. I lose EVERY SINGLE POT I play. Dunno, maybe I should play all these big tourneys and finally got lucky in one and win some fuckin huge money and be finally a balla... I have no fuckin idea. You tell me
btw. BEST LUCK TO RAINKHAN, HE WILL OWN THESE NOOBS SO EASY !!!!
Jawoll, a small update from me. I played 3 different sites as always: DonkeyStars, Paddypoker and AggroPrima.
Here is some sample from PokerEV for my last few thousand hands on PS. Too bad PokerEV is not working on Prima due to the lack of showing mucked hands. So this graph is PS only for the moment:
Currently playing NL 25 on PS/PP and NL 20 on Prima. My winnings are around 6.0PTBB/100. I don't wanna post a PTracker screenshot because my stats are so nitty - especially on Stars I will have to work on that but i like to 6-9 Table 6max tables and don't want to get into difficult situations by openraising QJs UTG etc. pp. :D
Once i make the upgrade to NL 50 i will losen up a little bit and play 4 tables to get used to the new aggression (if there is one).
My roll at Stars is 700, PP 300 (i know thats underrolled for NL 25 but because of my nittyness i don't have the variance of a LAGga ) and Prima at 400.
I followed the WSOP pretty closely the last weeks by watching the live video broadcasts and the ticker on Pokernews.com. Really rooting for the true gamer Rain because i was/am a very competetive gamer myself. Especially 10 years ago in Quake 1 hehe. I'm more into FPS than RTS but it's difficult to handle the young kids aggression in the latest FPS games so i like to play some WarSow from time to time. Check it out at http://www.warsow.net. It's a really kickass game focused on pure FPS elements with LEGOstyle gfx and bunnyhopping based on the Quake 2 Engine. There is one kickass video of pr0's on http://www.warsow.net/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=1101515460#p1101515460. Really worth watching!!
GOGO Dschingis Khan, ESPN PPV here i come . Screw the timezone One time!!1
last month ended good. i managed to turn a huge losing month to a just a losing one.
but this son of a bitch month started REALLY well OFCOURSE it had to go down after that and now im just sucking fucking suck again and steaming like hell.
Hahaha i found a way to cure my tilt! I played today and lost 3 buyins in a blizzering time of 15 mins again, so i decided to fuck poker and just mess up my room ! it really helps, im feeling a lot better now. was thinking about crushing my LCD tv too, but i will save him for later use !
RAINKHAN HAS FINAL TABLED THE MAIN EVENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
at my pca final table, rainkhan stole the show. my goal is to be as loud and supportive at his as he was at mine. will be tough because im pretty reserved and hes like the loudest person ever but i have a day to mentally prepare for the cheering.
Hi everyone, i got my dish setup again, and now i get %95 signal strength compared to %35-%40 what i was getting before. Umm... Nothing interesting happen this week, well i do have 1 hand that shocked me so i don't mind sharing this one with you guys http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/232352 , just a horrible call preflop in my opinion which such a weak hand. Stats are below for todays play.
