New computer few questions with PTby Cooperstown, December 26
What is the easiest way to move PT from one computer to another, the database is important but not 100% needed since I just started playing again and I only have 2k hands or so since I restarted.
dec 23rd: I started to 10 table. 3 hands at same time dif tables. These were the first hands I was dealt. I was like oh nice good hands but all 3 lost at the same time.
AA lost to JJ. AK lost to AQ. KK to AA. down 3 buy ins nice!
dec 24th: while watching some boring black and white christmas movie with my gf. Played 4 tables on my labtop won 50.00.
dec 25th: coudln't sleep, played only like 30 hands got real lucky won 60.00. bankroll 400.00
dec 26th: today tryed .10 .20 for first time, and I must say I love 20 NL. The players are so much worse and 10x easier to read. Won 125.00 today. So happy and I got a gold card on cake.
Still focusing on rakeback and deposit bonus and incentives. However at this limit it doesn't seem like rakeback is that important now.
Question of the day: Using Player Points: Any Site
A. Save them for cool prizes.
B. Use them for freerolls.
NL100 so far + some random crap.by Kapol, December 26
I began playing NL100 a few days ago and I am very happy with the opposition I found there. The games are definitely easier for me than at NL50. The regulars are less nitty and even though all of them play good pre-flop, most of the regs have easy exploitable leaks in their post-flop game. I'm not going to say what these leaks are (), but I changed my betting patterns a bit, so that I could adjust to the game.
As for non-poker related stuff, today I'm dying. I have been drinking yesterday and I drunk too much (as usual), so today is more surviving than living. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be as good as new, which might not happen, because my hangovers are lasting terribly long - at least one whole day, sometimes even two.
My New Year's Eve party plans messed up a bit today, because one of my friends which was supposed to go with me got beaten up at some club and his face is nowhere near looking good. Hopefully he'll recover till Dec 31st and we will go out to drink somewhere.
For the last month I've been training billiards really hard and with every day I'm getting closer to become a 1st League player, playing for our hometown team. It's not gonna be easy to get there, but I'm really happy with the way I improved thus far and if things will go as smoothly as they did in the previous month, then my chances increase significantly.
Most of you probably don't know me, except for the occasional hands I post. My name is Devin and I started playing online poker my senior year of HS, but only got into it seriously when I met Sean (Day[9]) and Corwin (Myth) during my sophomore year at college (pretty awesome when you have two amazing friends to learn from first hand). Sean introduced me to the idea of 12 tabling. I started out at penny stakes, and eventually got to 50NL where I was a slightly better than average player (6max). My BR oscillated between 30bi and 60bi (for 50NL), with the occasional jump up to 100NL, only to get raped and have to move back down to 50NL. I took a break for a while, but got back into 6 max earlier this year. I lost 70% of my bankroll, got pissed off, and took some more time off of poker.
A few months ago, Corwin introduced me to HU poker, and gave me a nice start by spewing about 5bis to me at HU 50NL. Ever since then, it's been (mostly) all up. In no time at all, I moved from HU 50NL to 100NL. Over the last month, I've managed to build a BR for 200NL. Tonight was the first night I've played HU 200NL. The initial new limit nervousness quickly wore off. Here is the chronological progression of important (large) hands vs Char1emagne:
KwarK_uK : bets $12
Muck19: raises $16 to $28
KwarK_uK : raises $13.60 to $41.60 and is all-in
Muck19: calls $9.70 and is all-in
River (Pot : $88.40)
Showdown KwarK_uK : shows (three of a kind, Fives)
Muck19: shows (three of a kind, Aces)
Muck19 collected $86.40 from pot
sweetnessabc said, "twice"
Summary Total pot $88.40 | Rake $2
Board
Seat 1: Muck19 (big blind) showed and won ($86.40) with three of a kind, Aces
Seat 2: Harquebuse folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 3: czaja67 folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 4: sweetnessabc (button) folded before Flop (didn't bet)
Seat 6: KwarK_uK (small blind) showed and lost with three of a kind, Fives
i wanted to take this opportunity to let everyone know something.... every time you limp aces or kings, something small, cute, and fluffy is killed. now i understand that some of you are sadistic and will limp aces and kings simply bc u want to kill something, but to the rest of you: limping AA/KK is murder!

This + the cash of those tournaments equal an amount slihgtly over $2000 now. After being at around ~$1k just a few days ago and slumping at around $500 a few weeks farther back, I'm obviously very pleased.
Dunno if I'm gonna give NL100 a shot already since I have only put in 7k hands at NL50. Think I'll stick around for a bit. I have the feeling that the regulars on NL50 actually try to play poker, unlike those at earlier levels, so suddenly it's not extremely apparent that I'm the best player at a table. Will try to keep improving.
this is the kind of session I would like to have every week at least every hand held up, just a couple of suckouts. I wasn't running extremly hot, I just got paid off with my big hands which seemed impossible this month. I could definitely get used to this
