Winning session! by KwarK, January 12

Since Artanis staked me and I restarted 25nl I've had some fairly big swings. From up 80 to down 40 or so. However one thing has remained universal. I always end within 10 of where I started. Like 4 sessions in a row. And not a progressive where I started in which I could make a few dollars each session but rather within 10 of what I had when I was staked.
This session treated me nicely. I ground up about +75. Not as high as my high yesterday but after a cooler I realised that it was time to stop. I needed a winning session, it's been far too long. What I didn't want was another +80 only to end on -8. Last few hands cost me a few more dollars but I quit over 2 buyins up. A very good result, my first winning session in almost a fortnight. I needed this and relatively happy to stop this session.

Sens vs. Wings by Bejamin1, January 12

Clash of the titans tonight. The beast in the east versus the big team in the west. The game started off with a nice ceremony for Stevie Y as he was inducted into the Ottawa sports hall of fame this week in Ottawa. There was a decent ovation but it was quickly cut short by the national anthems. Once the puck dropped it was all sens for two periods although Detroit was dangerous on the power-play. The game was played at playoff intensity with both teams playing with jump and playing physical. Fast forward to the beginning of the third period where Ottawa brings in a 2-0 lead which is quickly erased when Detroit ties it up on two quick goals. The intensity of Ottawa finally picks up again and Alfie ices the game with a power-play goal in the last 3 minutes of the game. The crowd of 20,000 strong chants Alfie, Alfie, Alfie! and the sens take the game 3-2.

Pictures Are Apparently too big to Attach?

Fucking nigger NL50. by TheHuHu, January 12

I can't believe how fucking stupid the players are at here. They are so over aggro and every single time I get it in best they have T7 on a T25 board and I have AA and they min-raise me, I shove, and they catch the 7 on turn or some shit. Fucking lost six buyins in 2k hands because of this shit. Some fucking faggot was 500 BBs deep going all-in with any pair. And what causes a person to call with Q9o OOP in a 4-bet pot and call flop with second pair when I have KK? I swear to God I'm going to kill somebody.

yesterday was cooler/suckout central, today is more slightly less cooler/suckout and slightly more spewtarded

cant decide if I'm going to take a break or not, what I do know is, I'm going to the gym

Twitching = Life Tilting by JonnyCosMo, January 12

My right eye has been twitching. Now normally this wouldn't bug me much (or at all) but it has been twitching randomly all week. To make matters worse, I woke up this morning and started playing poker and something in my right shoulder has started twitching as well. WTF. I wiki'd this shit and all it says that twitching symptoms are caused by stress. But wtf am I stressed about? I've just recovered from a -8k downswing and now I'm in the green for the month, I'm on fucking winter vacation, and this entire week I've been chilling. How the fuck can I be stressed?

Someone help, I need pills or something

new rule, heh. by DustySwedeDude, January 12

I'll start using a 3bi stoploss. Today was pretty brutal. You live and learn.

Pretty gay month, I've been running like jesus on 1/2€ and like Mike Matusow on 2/4€. Up like 700 € or so, so I shouldn't complain, but w/e.

A lil' update by Kapol, January 12

y0,

First of all, NL100 so far:

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/f54b126db94f7fc67f7d0a0837c9a475.jpg

http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/085cb61a123b686c1c961f3927d5e3ff.jpg

As for live game, from 18th to 20th January I'm gonna visit the most beautiful Polish city - Krakow and play in the Polish Poker Tour there. This time I'm gonna stick to tournaments, play the main event and one side event freezout. I'm definitely going to spend some time sightseeing, even though it's pretty cold here in Poland this time of the year.

As for non-poker related stuff, from 25th to 27th January there is a big pool billiards tournament held in Lodz, which I'm not going to miss. I have already signed up for it. I'll try to play my best and, who knows, maybe I'll even win a couple of matches. No big expectations tho, even though I significantly improved since mid November, which is when I started training really hard.
Didn't party much lately, mainly because of lack of funds. I had an UK Neteller account and they asked me to send them some documentary so they could change my address and I could still use my previous account here, in Poland. I did send them my ID, passsport and bank statement scan. Unfortunately I don't get paper statements from the bank so I had to go to the branch myself and ask the lady there to print me it. Unfortunately #2 this printed document didn't look as "professional" as the paper statement they send home so Neteller did not accept it. So I had to go to the branch, ask them to print me another document and stamp it. So I did it 4 days ago and sent it to Neteller. Hopefully I'll have my address changed on Monday so I could withdraw money. No big deal if it will take a little longer, because one of my friends agreed to give me $800 through a bank transfer and I'll give him these dollars through PS.

I think that's all. GL everyone,
Kapol

That was long but it's done by Oddeye, January 12

Yeah just a short update cause I was pretty much pissed(as you can see in my last HH) the last days every time I played head up I did pretty good until I got sucked out and started spewing like a bad bad gorilla. Played some 6max too of course and I'm almost at the 40k mark, I guess it would be a good time for a cash out of like 25k leaving me 15k to play.

Edit: Take a look LOL!

Heroes by k2o4, January 12

I had a serious tilt session on Thursday night and the worst part is that I couldn't get myself to just shot down Stars... So once I finally got away from the computer I felt like shit cause I knew I'd played too long while playing badly. To get over the pain I started watching season 1 of Heroes.

So for the last 36 hours all I've done is eat, sleep and watch Heroes. Sweet. The first 2 episodes kinda sucked, but the third one got the story going and from the fourth one on it's been an awesome ride. Got like 3 episodes left for the first season, and I've started to DL the second season episodes too.

Nothing like watching a full season of a fun show to get rid of that tilty feeling. I feel a million times better and know that when I go back to the tables I can do it with a fresh start and a clear head. I plan to get back into the swing of things tonight... I just wanna get through the last 3 episodes first. Gotta find out what happens!

HU feedback on my 5-max game by BaB, January 12

Well, hello folks. As i said last time , iam going to force myself to blog more. So whats happened in the first 10 days in January in poker? I have played some HU at the beggining of the week and realized how bad overaggro fish i am. I was mostly betting or folding, no deception game, no feelers bet and if so, i wasn't very sure what i am doing and if it is right time to do. Shortly said, the reality that iam setminer and whalefish hunter came on me pretty hard. Ok i got it, enough of beating myself The positive is i did change my mind for sure about a lot of poker stuff and after watching some of the HU vids ( cardrunners ) i came back stronger than ever ( still prolly weak overalll :D ) and was able to outplay most of the HU players.

Stats:
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/543cf796970a91b1dd333e8cf9a186ab.jpg

Stats are for the first 10 days in January. As you can see i drastically changed my game. Feeling great about that for now, we will see if its going to be working in future. If i see, its not going any great, ill tighter a little.

Need to say i did never play HU although iam playing poker like for 1.5 year. Now iam regretting this a little, but ok...i can handle it (//wrist)

I am now absolutely sure, that playing HU will make me better 5-6 max player. I heared this in past a lot but never did a stab, until now. So i really recommend to any novice / struggling player to include HU in their repertoar, i assure you, you are not going to regret this.

All you need to do is start to play HU, no matter versus who ( dropping 1 stake is good idea ) and put some new pressure on yourself and get new insight. If you are habitual multitabler 10tables+ (like i was) really make sure, you are playing max 2 tables ( 1 is optimum on start ). Once you grasp whats going on in HU, you will be amazed, how this change your attitude in 5-6 max games.

Its always good to have something / someone what/whose helps you out in the beggining. For me it was CR vid's ( CTS, GB, ABA, Brystmar ) which worked very well and iam recommending em all. Tutor (higher stakes than you) would be the best option i think, but also more expensive, its up to everyone.

Ok, cya next time, hopefully i'll be full of optimism as iam now :D

Shat my pants (Pictures) by collegesucks, January 12

Well here are the pictures... the guy didn't want any "poker crap" on his system so no multiple table pic. But like you guys said, it's prob. the resolution that matters anyways...

probably could squeeze in about 12-14 tables? idk, couldn't try.

playing WoW on a 50 in. screen:

sit on a sofa, play WoW/poker on a 50 in. screen all day... as sad as it may be, i could do that for a significant portion of my life.
