200nl is just around the corner now....by whamm!, February 08
I'm happy that 100nl is working out very well for me. To be honest with you whenever I play here, I feel I'm playing at 25nl haha. But of course I don't under any circumstances stack off light like with how I play 25nl, but the "feel" is just exactly the same. I hope I can crush this limit and build a solid solid roll, prolly 15k at the end of the month. I don't really intend on playing 200nl right away, maybe take shots when roll hits 10k prolly a week from now. Maybe I run extremely well here, but I think my overall game is pretty solid here, I don't fear any regs at all. I like playing them actually, makes the tension rise thus making for a more exciting experience. gtg ppl. im playing my 3rd and last session tonight and again im shooting for a 10buyin day, got over 5.5 now so I might get lucky and go on a heater, who knows. peace.
i'm listening to dancing mad from final fantasy 6 lols
i dunno why though..it's on my psp for some reason?

$2 tourny cuz i'm broke haha i got a parking ticket today for trying to use a daily pass from yesterday at my school's parking lot. so i had to cash out $50 (the ticket was 32) which cut my BR in half. so now i have to grind super micro stakes. oh well. they're really soft anyways.
Maybe i should go back to limit where 2.5 ptbb/100 is a good thing. Ive started playing no limit holdem and it's nothing like limit. I just finnished my first 10,000 hands playing NL10. Im pulling 2.51 ptbb/100, and i didn't even get out of the red for the first 4k hands. I'm not sure where the ptbb/100 should be for me at this level, but i know im still not doing well. I see others posting 8ptbb/100 and bigger, so im sucking right now.
Im looking for my leaks as im sure i must look like a lawn sprinkler. I think im playing too tight, 16/8/2.5, but im finding it hard to open up at NL10 with 4 people seeing every flop and calling down to every river. Im wondering if i should be raising more than the standard 4x + 1 for every limper? Or maybe i should just stick to standard play and get more hands under my belt before i start tweaking my game?
I don't know but this NL is a total different game from limit. I kill NL200 AND NL500 (live). This NL online is a mofo, but at least i'm winning. Small, but winning.
Think it might be fun / useful to focus on HU for awhile. It's a format which I've basically never explored...undoubtedly to the detriment of my ability to play the game of poker in general.
Fired up some tables of NL200 and NL400 and played for about an hour earlier this evening [and ran incredibly well]. I'm undoubtedly playing too tight at this point, though I think my post-flop aggression is in a nice place. After playing 5-6 different players over the course of the hour, it seems like people are folding way too often at this level.
Anyone out there play NL400+ HU as their primary game?
I'd be curious to see the PT stats of someone with more experience who's solidly beating the mid-stakes HU games.
Played a monster 3,369 hand session 12 tabling. I usually tire betwen 1 and 2k hands but felt great tonight. 25 NL FR is going really well so far...should move up to 50 NL by the end of the weekend. Have played 11k hands this month and am shooting for 50k. Hope I keep playing well/running good.
Been on a pretty mean downswing for the last few days, and this afternoon started out no different, dropping 3BIs in the first 500hands. Normally I would be quitting for awhile here to try and recollect myself, however I really wasn't in the mood for that shit. So did the classic wash your face and call yourself a fucking pussy in the mirror plan, took a 3min break and sat my ass down to grind this out. After nearly 6hours, I find myself not only back to even for the week but with enough profit to cover dinner and a movie.
Now I'm due at work in 33mins v_v. I seriously hate working nights.
Hey, everyone!
So, in the light of some recent events (I think they call it bankroll destruction or something like that), I finally decided to start a blog (been toying with the idea for a long time).
Although I've been around for quite some time already and I'm on ventrilo fairly often, most of you probably don't know me, as I usually just lurk around the forums and only post from time to time.
Therefore:
INTRO

So, a little bit about myself: I'm 20, my name's Ondrej and I'm from Czech Republic. I'm currently living in a house in Brno with Joe, who is known here, and 3 other guys (Bab, Dante, Zulit). Poker has been my main source of income for several months now, playing mostly nl100 and nl200 FR and HU on PokerStars. After cashing out a lot and also losing a rather big part of my roll due to sick lifetilt combined with HU variance, I have now decided to stick to 24-tabling nl50 FR for some time to put my game back together and make some safe money. After I make about 20 buy-ins, I plan on switching back to nl100. This blog should monitor how well I'm doing in that and my progress onto higher stakes.
My overall goals in poker: These are set very high, as I'm really enjoying the game and believe that I have what it takes to get there and just need to work very hard. I obviously still have a very long way to go, but I will be constantly trying to put as much effort into improving as a player as possible. May this post be a reminder to me at all times!

Today's play:
So, after waking up in the afternoon , I dressed up and almost immediately fired up PokerStars. The session went well and I was about $120 up after an hour. Then I quit and went for a lunch with Joe, the psychopat. We went to the city to a recently reopened restaurant to try it out. I ordered some garlic soup and chicken on kari with mushroom rice. The soup was not bad, but I expected better for its price. The main course itself was good, but the rice was not. I'll have to choose better the next time.
When we got back, I made some work on a webpage I'm starting with Dante and then launched PokerStars again. I played for about 3.5 hours and won another $70. Not much for the time, but I think I was playing good, just got sucked out on quite a lot, so I'm ok with that. The only thing that made me a bit angry is, that I made a rather bad push in a Sunday Million SNG sat, which I was playing at the same time. That probably cost me the tourney and a possible $208.55 with it. Oh well, I can play another one tomorrow.
I won't post any hands, as the winning ones are too standard to be interesting and I don't feel like whining about the losing ones. ^_^
I plan on playing longer tomorrow. We shall see how it goes.
Good night, sleep tight!

Disclaimer: I have no idea how frequently I'll be updating this blog. After some time I may decide to move it to my czech poker site (currently in development). Maybe I'll update it every day. Maybe not at all. Who knows - I just felt like giving it a try.
My first stake (12 $4 180 mans) of the day sucked profit wise, i lost my staker 25 dollars getting only one cash which was like 7th or something, gay.
Later today, local luckbox and the village whore astromech/pacifist who was in my very first starcraft clan and is a guy ive known for over 7 years probably told me that his money was lucky money and was convinced if he staked me to play in twelve $12 180 turbos that we would both profit immensely. His only condition was that I only play 6 of them at a time.
I just finished the first set of these and scored a 2nd and 3rd place victory (shipit) for a ~250 profit for both of us. I'm starting my next set now and hopefully they will be equally lucrative.
Dunno why I posted this really, but anyways, back to the grind.
edit, check this out

all of my bluffs have been going horrendously wrong lately, i put them on exact hands and they are still calling. Maybe I should start giving people less credit. I obv didn't put him on a six, but i did think he had absolutely nothing which is pretty much what a 6 is there, he SNAP called too. Ugh, I dunno, maybe it was a stupid bluff, but i def have no problem playing a J or JJ like that
Jesus, my parents are changing the internet service provider, so i'll be 10 days without internet, from feb 12th to feb 22nd, I'mma go on a poker marathon until then, then take those days off i guess
lol i was just taking a nap and had this dream that i 4 tabled 100/200 nl today and made 65k
then patrick antonius rang me to see how i was doing and asked me about my different styles in cash games and tournaments.. and that i shouldnt be playing 100/200 cos its out of my br
then i woke up and checked my ftp account to see if some funds magically appeared
Notes; Everybody is a passive callstation. Standard TAG/LAG easy to spot. Steal the blinds, rarely bluff. Valuebet the fuck out of everyone, people love their hands.
It feels like I'm cold but I'm not. I'm sitting here and I'm almost trembling and it feels like im spasming or something. There is also a light pressure on my chest that is hard to describe. I drank last night but I don't think that has anything to do with it. It's actually kinda scary, i dunno wtf is going on.
