Ughhh by BJLTNYK, April 14

So last month was great for me. Put in the most hands I've ever put in and had the best results I've ever had. But it really burned me out. I couldn't find the mental energy to just sit down and grind cash. So did I stop playing and take a break? No. I thought I could do well in other forms. Played some HU...lost to some pretty horrendous coolers. Played some MTTs...not enough to create a sample. Played some $12 turbo 180s/45 mans...DID NOT GO WELL. So here I am...and I've got the urge to grind again. I'm $868 in the hole this month...-$418 in MTTs/SNGs and -$450 in HU. I hope I can battle out of this hole for the month and put up some positive numbers.

MAIN POINT
I know people get burned out all the time and people deal with it in different ways. I will suggest just stepping away from the game completely. Maybe enjoy it with a couple live games(this is what started my passion for grinding in the first place). Step back and reflect. This game is a beast...but with enough dedication it's very beatable. Don't play for the sake of playing. Play with a purpose. I have mine again...look out ya'll.

Deposit + short session by Heath_at_Uk1, April 14

Well I deposited finally on Stars last night. Got a few questions, my stats, and some hands I'd like someone to take a look at.

http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/8749/april4th08hz7.png

Ok there are my stats, and now for a question or 2.

-How Deep should i get before I decide to stand up from a table? Last night I was hitting near 5 Buyins on one of my tables. Is that something I should worry about, or will it matter?

- Also what can my stats tell you about me right now? I know it's not nearly big enough of a sample size, but maybe it can shed some light. Not sure on what i should be aiming for, but I know for one thing I was playing too many hands near the end of my session, and it cost me, cause i went from up 4-5 buyins to my end result.

- Should i search out players I saw spew multiple buyins or what? saw one guy spew around 5 buyins off in like 100 hands

Now Some Hands(hopefully someone can comment on these for me):

Winners:

and Losers:

Hopefully i have done all this right, first time working with some of these codes and such, and if it's not right, fear not, i will fix it soon lol.

P.S. Already enjoying doing this blog, and bear with me I have an loling problem.

Looking for Microstakes Coach by SugoGosu, April 14

yeah, I'm realling having trouble with microstakes, been playing for ~5-6 months and I can't seem to win at all. Well, I have won ~$160 but I can't seem go anywhere with it. the last 4 months has been literally breakeven after 50k hands. If anyone wants to do some deal like 40-50% of winnings over a certain amount of time or something small like a buyin an hour ($10) it would be great.

If anyone wants to do this, I'd be so gracious, my MSN contact is:
+ Show Spoiler +

or you can PM me some details.

Here is my graph from the last 4 months
http://www.liquidpoker.net/user_pictures/bef0c4f5880d244b9cabcfbff7f9649e.gif

I play 6-max but I can def. switch over to FullRing if that's your game. Any help is welcomed.

Shit -.- by Python817, April 14

Was up 1.1k at one point but decided to keep playing. I played 1 hand really badly and that tilted me so I started to play badly and lost 4 buyins. I was tempted to continue playing but I felt I was playing bad so I quit.

Still good for first session at nl100 though even tho I'm pretty pissed off right now.

lol + free lesson by Royal_Rumble, April 14

Did another short session at NL200, but lost a buy-in due to a poorly played QQ hand, probably a little bit scared money. Went back to NL100 and my run there continues. I also cashed out $1100 and my roll is at a comfortable $4.2k atm, and I soon have 50k FPP, so I can get the $650 reward bonus.

I always wondered who the guys are that fuel the poker industry and the winning players like myself, realizing that there are much more losers than winners at poker because of the rake.
I thought it might be some guys who consider poker as a hobby, which costs a certain amount of money in the month, which they take from their loan, deposit and don't mind losing, because it's fun to them and being in a bowling club or going on holiday or getting blowjobs from hookers is also fun and costs money.

I also never followed the personal drama on this site, I simply would read the forums and read interesting threads and think about hands, but in the last few days it was unable to ignore that f4zi + neillyJQ thing.

Reading neilly's blog added it all up, it shows me what kind of people are also into poker. Desperate gamblers, always for the one big shot, then losing it all. Man, read it. It goes like this, a hundred times:

a) ran well at NL2
b) played some NL50, didn't do that good
c) won 6k at some tournies
d) played NL200/NL400/NL600/NL5k, went busto
e) started up again at NL2,... see a)

Guess Neilly was the only Supernova ever that played NL2.

If you should read this: I have nothing against you personally, but poker clearly isn't for you. But you probably are unable to change your attitude and personality, so the story is gonna repeat itself again and again. Seriously: Stop it, ask all the sites to ban you and find another hobby.

This is so sad. It shows me the other side of poker, the broken existences of people who cannot control themselves, who have weak personalities, who deposit their last money on Poker Sites or OnlineCasinos, just to lose it...

to me hopefully.

Anyway, when I play I only see the odds, the stats, the money, I have not to deal with the person behind that money, all I see is their screenname and they will take my money, if they have the chance, so why should I bother? Everybody is at least 18 years old and responsible for himself. Doubt that Neilly would succeed in another aspect of life, he simply would find a different addiction, probably being alcohol or drugs.

So no more soft feelings here, life is hard and you have to watch out to be on the winners side.

NL100 though bores me a little bit at the moment, after playing NL200, it lacks the thrill of the big monies, I need a little bit of fresh motivation, and I think by sweating some other player I might get it.

So basically I offer a free lesson at NL50 or NL25, only Fullring.

If you are interested, you should have the following qualification:

1) able to speak proper english
2) having PokerTracker or a similar program with a HUD
3) knowing basic terms like equity, implied odds etc.
4) Having a headset, Skype and WebDialogs Unyte

preferably playing at stars or FTP because I am familiar with the software.

If you are interested and fulfill my criteria, post here or send me a PM, gonna do this one time, probably 1 or 2 hours.

My qualification for this:

Updates and stuff by iop, April 14

God, I haven’t updated in ages. So basically I shaved my head, I had pretty long hair before, so there is a difference:

http://photos-295.ll.facebook.com/pho.../653634295/n653634295_463134_2962.jpg
http://photos-295.ll.facebook.com/pho.../653634295/n653634295_463145_6623.jpg

I went over to visit my dad in Munich, Germany (No he’s not from Germany – he is ½ American ½ British). Which makes me ¼ American and ¼ British and ½ Swedish. Anyways it was alot of fun seeing my little brother and my twin sisters again, and ofcourse my dad and my stepmom too. My dad and I have alot of things in common, one of them is wine, so I brought a Margaux from 97 which we drank together – which was a decent wine, nothing very very fancy and I think it was around $100. I got a nice Bvlgari (read Bulgari) perfume for my stepmother, and some Wii sports rackets for my little brother.

Btw, if people want I can start blogging about various wines that I enjoy, and stuff to look for.

So I had a pretty strange night out in Munich. I went to meet a friend and his girlfriend (they are swedish, but his parents live in Munich – and we just happened to be in Munich at the same time). The two to the left
http://photos-894.ll.facebook.com/pho...1/501438894/n501438894_50754_1457.jpg
– the picture is taken from a swedish holiday called ”Valborg” when I celebrated in Uppsala, a univeristy city an hour away from Stockholm. It’s very big in Uppsala and in Lund, and the drinking is crazy. Its basically drinking 16 hours a day for like 3-4 days straight. This was from the ”Champagne” evening, where you buy Champagne and not really drink it but pour it over people. A really sick holiday in Sweden.

Anyways about the night out, so I went and met them and we started to drink some beer in an irish/australian pub in town. After a few beers I find myself needing to go the toilet, so I stand up and go over to the toilet, and outside of the toilet I see an old friend of mine whom I went to school with in Munich, so I say ”Hey – how are you doing”. He answers pretty casually ”alright”. So I was like, jeez what a dick. So I proceed to say it again, ”Hey man how are you”. Now he thinks I’m there to pick a fight with him, and I am a pretty big guy, and I was wearing an adidas England sweater/jacket. So I finally say, ”Alex, don’t you recognize me” – and then we started to drink together. So after a few hours my friends from Sweden go home, and I somehow meet this other swedish guy who is like 4-5 years older than me, and we went to the same school back in the days. So we’re standing in the stairs at the pub and out of the blue this swedish comes and says in swedish ”What – are you guys speaking swedish?? With a WTF expression on her face”. So we’re like yeah, and she says ”I’m here with two other swedish girls, come and sit with us”. So I’m like: ship it, and proceed to follow her to their table. My swedish friend seems to go to some other place and leaves me. So the girl in the stairs had a german boyfriends, but she was pretty ugly so it didnt really matter, and the other two were ok too. One was above decent and the other one decent (mind you – swedish standards). So I end up taking these girls to like 2-3 nightclubs and paying for their evening. So about $700 down for the evening I’m on my way back to my dads house, and I tell myself ”Chris, dont fall asleep like you always do, cos you got to go the airport soon”. 45 mins later I wake up on the train really satisfied when I look out of the window, because its my home town obviously. That happy feeling lasts for about 10 seconds when I realize I am at the last fucking station of my train line. So still fairly drunk and fairly pissed off of not shipping at least one of the girls (because of me having to leave for the airport), and being in a shithole town outside of Munich. I walk to the taxi that is closest and tell her to drive me home. My dad calls me and says that we have to leave for the airport in 30 mins. I explained the situation, and told him where I was and that I would be home in about 30 mins. I get home, go down to the cellar and get my bag, and leave for the airport with a cup of tea in the car.

This weekend was really sick too, I’ve been drunk since last Friday, and I woke uptoday pretty hungover, I missed out on the hangovers the other days since I started drinking as soon as I woke up. Ill update you guys about the weekend another day.

I think I’m getting into an iffy situation regarding the opposite sex, once again I’ll update more on that sistuation when I know more.

HU is so easyyyy by Jamie217, April 14

I just want to apologize in advance, this blog post will not have any heroics from Dzoo

Sorry for the disappointment

Anyways I was doing pretty shitty in 6max last couple days after playing/running well most of the month. So I decided to watch Raptor's CR vid and AlusivePnkBunny's vid on Leggo and implement some of what they did to my own HU game and give it a try. Needless to say it tilts the hell outta people

I'll prob start playing half HU and half 6max for awhile and see how that goes.

Glass half full with crap by kantoiki, April 14

So last month was pretty good, I don't think I posted a graph for it so I'll do that now:

http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/8522/march08pn2.jpg

(I think first 30-40k hands are at 50NL and rest are at 100NL)

So March was the first month I've ever played without thinking of withdrawing since I now get a student allowance from the government once a fortnight so overall a good month when I add in rakeback.

Then with high hopes and dreams for April I approached poker however it was not to be, Full Tilt soon let me know that their generosity had it's boundaries:

http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/6590/aprilem9.jpg

(I have looked over my hands and I think I have developed a lot of leaks playing tired and tilting after running bad etc)

Anyway I think this is one of the few times that I've posted a terrible graph like this Not because I don't have losing months I just generally stay in denial until I find a good month that I can graph and post.

http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u298/egyptianmago/denial.jpg

With the depressing constant losing of the first half of this month I've finally found something that I can claim to kind of "win" at.

The game is simple you jump by right clicking at the start and that's the only time you'll have to click, from then on you just have to jump on or hit the bells with the rabbit and keep him going higher and higher.

http://www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/g3/bells.htm

My best score so far: 24,702,800

Anyway life is pretty mundane OBVIOUSLY since I'm posting about playing some ridiculously childish flash game, the other most "exciting" thing to happen this month has been going over my download limit of 50 gigs by 31 gigs on the last day.. yeah I'm a true rebel downloading dvd rips and a bunch of tv series.

Notable "good" movies watched include: Michael Clayton, No Country for Old men, Resurrecting the Champ, Walk hard Dewey Cox and 27 Dresses if only because I love Katherine Heigl:

http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2007...atherineheigl/katherine_heigl300b.jpg

Watched/Still watching: Sg-1 (up to season 6 now tis awesome), The office (US version) which took some time to grow on me but worth it, and Everybody loves Raymond.

About to watch: Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls (I know this is extremely queer even for me but I love the dialog that occurs in this show), My name is Earl and Two and a Half Men.

Boston Legal and Scrubs have both started churning out episodes again so I'll start watching them as they come out again, Yay!

If anyone has ideas for good movies or series's to watch let me know, but don't tell me if it's horror or anything scary since I refuse to watch those genres...

Yes it might be tad bit pansy but I just don't think it's worth it if not only do I not enjoy the movie but I'm scared for the next week or two with my imagination running wild scaring myself stupid.

So since this is ridiculously depressing for me and probably boring for those reading it I thought I'd share some humor and whatever else I've thought was interesting lately:

http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/939/bigballscn1.jpg

Her facial expression is hilarious wtf

and then this was funny as hell:

For those who haven't seen the original:

This wasn't funny but I definitely thought it was pretty cool:

Oh and before I finish off Harold and Kumar preview, I really only watched this short trailer and not the extended/spoilers available on you-tube so I wouldn't ruin it:
