After a nice session yesterday I lost 2.5 buyins in fewer than 1000 hands today at NL10. 2 of those buy ins were from KK. KK vs QJ, villain hit two pair on the turn. KK vs AA all in PF. So bloody unbearable.

Decided to play some NL5 to replenish my bankroll and my ego. Steamed through the session gritting my teeth with testosterone pumping through my body.

River AF: 3.5
Turn AF: 6.5
Flop AF: 12.00

400 hands later I had made back the 25 dollars at a win rate of 68.12PTBB/100.

I miss NL5 so much where I can make money in 5 easy steps.

1. Limp in with PP
2. Flop a set

Just played heads up 2/4 with no breaks for 8 hours, lost count. Made like 24 buyins. Not gonna play any cash games today cos I know I wont play the same. Great confidence boost for me.. really needed it. Really need get up to more crazy stuff so I can update my blog lol.

I have problems with LP not loading alot... i get that page that you get when your internet isn't connected...

i don't have problems with any other sites, anybody else have this problem?

seems painful so far. i think i still have a lot of things to work on, the main leak i have is calling off my chips too often i think, *shrug*

nl25 has been like, up 100 one day, down 200 the next, up 250 the next day.. down 150 the next.. i havent had a string of good days, or a string of bad days.

is this winrate very low, or like below average, or above average, or what? i dont really know. >.<

i hope to hit $1000 and PlatinumStar before the end of April.. hopefully sooner than that. after that, i guess NL50 awaits.

i am still consciously trying to improve my game and i do feel the more practice i get the more stable my gameplay will get; part of being good at poker must be knowing to stop when you're down though, huh.

I'm currently making $15/hr working inside with my dad. I do autoCAD. I sit in front of a desk for 7 hours a day. It's easy work and it's just the two of us so it's generally a pretty laid back atmosphere and it is enjoyable enough. However, this being my first year living on my own, I'm not exactly in the best shape of my life. The past three summers I've been working labor. Everyone there likes me and I'm almost positive if I were to go back I would be hired without any hesitation. The only problem is the last two years there I was making $10/hr. I would be working 6 days a week with probably around 45-50 hours a week and would be having to leave here at 6:30 instead of the 35 and leaving at 9:30 working with my dad.

Yeah, it sounds like an obvious choice, omfg stay at your job now. The only problem is I feel like shit. Since leaving to be a waiter in September of last year (I made like 300 a day easy there) I have lost over 20lbs and am basically a skinny white kid. The last three summers I have been in fantastic shape. Not to mention I have a problem with acne on my shoulders, but sunlight has cured that for the last three summers.

So now I'm really really considering going back to harder work and less pay to get myself back into the condition I have been for the last three summers. I think it would do wonders for my ego.

Also, I'm going to college in the fall so I would be leaving both jobs around the end of August.

UGH. IDK what to do. $5/hr doesn't seem like much, but when you go from $15 to $10 it seems like the world.

I was thinking about doing a weekly/monthly podcast with keanu/myself about mma/poker stuff. Just having a debate between keanu and I. We get into some awesome debates about stuff and i always felt that people would love to hear them.

Would you listen to it? We would do things like bring up fun topics to talk about read emails and answer them. Bring on extra guys like naz, daut, whoever...

i'd just have to ask keanu now lol.

So I ran sickbad today and dropped 4 buyins which given I was only playing 20 BI deep is a lot. I'll probably move down to be safe. Anyway, I'm tilted with poker and ready to give up for a few days. As such I need another way of recovering some money.

First things first, I'm looking to win money doing this so ideally I'm looking for a degen who hasn't played bw in 2 years but remembers it being pretty fun. This means that if you're just looking to win money you probably won't get much action from me, when I'm in a good mood I'll happily play fun betgames but right now it doesn't appeal.
I'll accept all sorts of handicaps for different odds, strange maps, off races, computers etc. Whatever makes it fun for you works for me.
Also I play microstakes so we're talking about very little money riding on each game because quite frankly, if I get hustled or do something retarded I don't wanna go busto.

Basically if you want to have some fun playing bw and messing around with handicaps and other degen stuff and don't mind risking a dollar or 3 then please pm me. All payment done on stars and all games played on iccup (too many hack scandals recently).

started tilting obviously. i got really impatient probably cuz i was soo close to moving up. trying to win too many pots... sometimes ended up not pretty because i started bluffing for stacks (yeah DONT do that).

on another note,

school is fucking me over badly. i got into college on a full ride (tuition, room and board plus a 2k+ cash allowance every semester) and i completely fucked it up. i know i failed two classes this semester plus im not doing to well in the other ones. and for stupid reasons too, like not figuring out when the tests are and missing them completely o_O

sometimes i feel like i can't play properly because i'm not taking care of everything else about my life. it's definitely harder to be in the 'zone' with all those burdens on my shoulders. so i'm pretty sure if i take care of the critical things first, like trying to graduate, getting a job/steady income, i can really focus on building a bankroll with the extra time i have with a mind that's hell of a lot more cheerful and relaxed.

finals are coming up. can't wait for summer. i think it's time to hit them books and call up friends for adderall yay.

and goddd 25NL don't fuck me over again..

I have a strong feeling that it's not worth it.

I saw turn 451 times and I won a whopping 43 of them. And I'm as aggressive on the turn as I am on the flop. On the flop I saw 930 hands and won 615 of em.

So My quess is that I need to lift the gas and if they represent a strong hand they probably have em.

With epassporte not working for usa its really hard to switch sites now. I am considering full tilt because I honestly don't like stars wierd right? I felt like I got rivered 1 to many times !

I want to switch sites because all of the 50nl are jackpot tables on ub except 1-2 tables. That is bs i don't plan on winning the jackpot its such a rare shit to win that, yet they take 5% of pots for it. That is like a 15% rake which more then cancels out my 30% rakeback. someone asked for a ss of pokertracker stats is this what i should post?

I am a little over 1,000 now, but I don't know if i got the right amount of experience at 25nl.
It took me 50k hands to beat 10nl. But only about 7k hands to beat 25NL. Do I need more hands at 25nl before moving up to 50nl?

ive decided to take another long break from poker. what i really mean is, i will cashout 4k and just rebuild whatever's left of my BR. it's been two months now and psychologically i cannot continue playing if the results are like this over a decent sample already. i just cannot win big pots anymore it seems, im getting the "it's fucking rigged" paranoia again and it's just not good for my game anymore. i regret having redeposited my 3750 back to pstars now, and im not making another mistake by playing it some more. now i have 715, which is good enough for 25nl grinding, i cant see the fun in poker when you don't win at ALL each session. oh well just a vent, im getting sick of this game already. and i can quit playing totally if i get a decent idea for a business or something. better focus on that for now. peace and goodluck to all you guys.

Gonna stick to heads up for rest of april and all may and play at least 50k hands 1/2-3/6 for may. I have loads to improve though but hopefully I can do this and gain a slight profit on the same time.

im not updatin blog lately b/c im lazy and nothin rly nice happened by this days.
but today! is the day
finally im going back to my country, peru.
in a couple hours im goin to the airport and omg it feels so nice,
im rly happy to leave this country, i mean im kinda sad too because mom and sister live here but anyway its just not for me.

Hey all,

I read a lot of blogs on liquidpoker and some of em are quite interesting. So, finally I decided to write one as well. I will first introduce myself and then get into poker a bit.

Well, hi, I'm Rolon. I'm 24 years old and live in Tilburg, Netherlands.
In high school I was in the same class as RaSZi, and that that time he played Starcraft and I played Quake2 and CounterStrike. We were both very competitive, in school, in sports and in life in general.

Currently I am a Master student in Information Management at the Tilburg University. I am doing ok, but I know I'm not as motivated as other ppl in my class. But, I think I'll make it.

I live in a student flat with 16 other students, so it's never boring. I used to party a lot, but now I starting to give that up a bit. Reasons are that I'm currenty doing an internship and research for my master's degree and second I have the hottest and sweetest girl in the world.

As for poker... I'm playing it for 2 years now, started out with low stakes live game at our house and eventually took it to the online world, where I currently play 100NL on stars, which is fine for me now. I have pokertracker since November 07 and played only 15-20k hands til now, so I'm not a high volume player, but I run fairly ok I think.

So, in the upcoming days/weeks I will start posting my heaters, beats and other experiences on this blog, just like the rest. It'll be just one of so many blogs, but I like to write stuff... Check in w/ you later and maybe see a couple of you at my tables. Cheers.
