I think I am getting used to playing NL10. I posted how frustrated I was about NL10 yesterday night. And since then I have made some adjustments. Namely, not stacking off so easily in big pots. Having this more "cautious" approach has definately made me value bet worse, but I think I can gradually adjust to this and I hope to do well at balancing the two in the future.

I reduced the tables I play to at first 10 tables. This has helped alot. I plan on increasing the number of tables gradually, as I feel for a Full Ring player, the ability to multitable well is really important.


I logged in 5400 hands since last night. It starts around hand 62000, and I think the graph points to a significantly lower variance style. Notice the decrease in variance near the end of the graph.

I hope to keep this up. I think I can do it. But wish me luck anyway!

I was a tourist in vegas last summer. I also went to LA in my epicly long trip. (by long i meant i drove. wtf) no particular order...except alphabetical as to how i saved them enjoy.

So... I haven't blogged in a while.

cliffnotes on life

-quit working out because i played a vicious game of bloody knuckles that made my hand swell up humongous (damn pride, ego and long island ice tea)
-confused as ever about the girl in whatever blog it is below
-took a very cute girls vcard
-got in a fight because of said girl
-lost 5ish lbs?

Most excitingly though, I decided to pick up poker again. I've been playing mostly hu 2 tabling trying to turn around my horrible PTR stats that are embarassing(-2k). I think im only down 750 or so now, score!

I hate my job and its literally the best job i could ever ask for locally. I think if i get 6 months of payments saved up from poker I'm gonna quit and play poker for a living again. Like a 5k br and 6 months of payments would be a pretty good padding and in 6 months if i fail then I go to school or something, not back to being a lowlife scrub with no degree.

For people who read my previous blogs, last months were terrible for me.
As probably alot of players did in the beginning, I blamed bad luck, bad beats and lucky fish.

In a rush of emotions I decided to quit online poker and withdrew all my money. The day after I was 5th in a 11 dollar donkament for about 500 dollars.

I decided it was time for a change. I cut down to 4 tables instead of 10-12 and gave each decission thought and reasoning. Also a friend of mine who is a reg at 200NL has sweated me.
I was amazed how much leaks I have and things to work on.
I made a list, maybe this can be usefull to some players.
To many others however, this is standard. For me it wasnt.


Points to work on

1.Table selecting: Look for tables with lots of players/ flop. To many of you this is standard, but I used to randomly open 12 tables and started playing

2.Fish vs Regs: Focus on playing hands against fish. Avoid tables filled with regs.

3.My play from the blinds is awful. I play 25NL 6-max, if anyone has an article about blind play or some usefull tips, PM me.

4.Play more in position. My opening range is also too big.

5.Get mentally stronger. After a beating or a huge suckout I start playing very very poorly. This is a huge leak.

6.Dont play when tired. Sometimes I start playing at 22 pm because I study till then. I usually play till 3-4 am and get up at 9 to study. This doesnt work so good for me.
Besides poker, this also isnt good for my health in general and my studies.

7.Set small goals before a session(Make 3 buyins, stop at -5 buyins, these are examples)

8.Dont start playing as soon as I get up. I dont have much time because I have to study a ton. When I have a free day I jump on my computer as soon as I get up.
I told myself from now on, I'll get breakfast, run a lil bit, take a shower and then start playing.

9.Get more sleep, and cut down on the tables.

10.Stop being paranoid that Fulltiltpoker hates me.


I guess these are my main leaks and points to work on. I posted it because if someone has a comment or a tip/other point to work on i'll be more then glad to hear it.

Fuck online forum advice.

I tried to be more assertive in the relationship. Things like ignoring the girl on purpose or saying mean things in order to generate push pull tension.

Fuck, why did I have to listen to dumbass online alpha male advice?

why did I try to fix something that wasn't broken?

god, I feel so pathetic right now

I really cant handle the cruelty of poker anymore.
Or I really suck, or I'm a whino or FTP is rigged. I decided to quit online poker. It drives me crazy day after day. Some things are really really unbelievable.

I can keep on posting stuff like these. I know many of you guys play thousands of hands more than me probably, and laugh stuff like this away. But I guess I'm mentally not stable enough to take beats like this. I cashed out my bankroll, and I will keep on posting here and looking around, but i'll quit playing.

Anyways, just went on christmas vacation from work, and im off til the 11th, I'll probably work throughout the holidays on some stuff. Going to Munich on monday to celebrate x-mas for a week. Gonna come back and grind my nuts off, so please let me run good poker gods..!
