So I just cashed out a $1,500 and left myself back on NL10 with just under $200. Going up to the casino next week, wanna have a nice amount to be able to play fearless *not stupid, but fearless =)*
I also have some important bills I gotta pay too *have a warrant out for my arrest because of a speeding ticket, I gotta get this paid ASAP.., some other stupid random shit I gotta take care of too*
Going to be playing here and there on stars as well, just working back to NL25 so I can have some meaningful sessions where I can win some real money online again too.
Had a nice week last week and won alot, mostly a very slow grind + a 1 hour heater that won me a very nice chunck of change.
So during the next week I'm sure most of you won't see much of me, but I will still be on the forums daily and on stars a little as well. Hoping to have a very successful trip to the casino, most of the pla<x>yers up there will make mistakes all night to capitalize on. Just need to bring My A Game and I should be fine.
If the trip doesn't go as expected during day 1 & 2 I'll be back in Pittsburgh and redoposit my roll and re-start online poker again. Just feelin the need for a casino environment, probably due to all the WSOP things happening, as well as my addiction to HSP S1-3 ^^
Well, thats about it for todays blog, I'm gonna sit back n get baked as hell today. Maybe some $5R's and $3R's for fun.
Best of luck to everyone,
and I hope you wish me the same @ the Casino~
It's an extremely rare occurence when i show up with a totally random hand that nobody expects and end up looking like a total fish, but today it happened.
so im sitting playing a few tables of 25/50 on stars and i notice that on 2 of the tables adz raises utg and then sits out after taking the pot down and leaves the next hand. so i see him raise on the 3rd table utg and realize hes about to leave the game.
i quickly call smokey over and tell him whats happening and we decide its time to start shitting on the about to leave the table player.
misread his raise for less preflop so my reraise was small. smokey told me he would take half my action on the hand because its a pretty funnys pot, so i felt like i was freerolling on the flop and went with it.
probably one of the only times anyone will ever see me look like a total fish in a hand. it helped though, i ended up winning 2 buyins after that just getting paid because everyone thought i was monkeying. i like this new image i have fostered, brian townsend style.

So Derric (actionDJ) and I decided that tonight would be the night we head out to Lucky Chances Casino in San Fransisco to un-rust our live game before Vegas. So we sit at a juicy 1-1-2 game, and I end up having to lay down AKs to a guy who obviously had aces (his hands shook the table as he 4 bet reraised me). After 30 mins of this BS I'm down $50. Sweet.
Finally we get moved to the 2-3-5 game which had a $10 open so it played like a $5/$10. Derric and I were moved to seperate tables and we both ran cold for like 3 hours straight. Basically, I ended up picking up a bunch of small preflop pots with big raises in position, but everytime I saw a flop I got tooled. This one cute asian chick (these cute asian chicks will be the death of me I swear) just took me to school in every pot we played. I raised it up with TT 3rd to act, a loose player behind me called, and asian chick called out of the blinds. Flop came K-8-3 w/ 2 diamonds. Asian chick checks, I bet $60 into a $95 pot. Guy behind me folds, asian chick calls. Turn comes a 4d. Asian chick leads for $100. Puke. I check to see if I got fold equity if I shove. I then check if I have the Td... I don't. Sick...Fold. Next hand I get in with her, I have 66 on the button. Guy limps utg. Asian chick limps behind, I make a raise to $50, they both call. Flop comes K-Q-9. Guy checks, asian chick bets $40. lol Fold. Guy behind me calls. Turn 6. Puke. Guy leads into her, she shoves and guy called w/ KJ. She has 99. Phew. River 6. Puke. Next I have AQo, raise in 3rd position to $40. One caller behind me, asian chick on the button makes it $180. First time she's repopped all night. Bitch, this is war! But not with AQo... Fold. Finally I pick up T9hh. Minraise utg, asian chick calls, everyone between me and her (like 4-5 people) called. I call the $20. Blinds call, we got a family pot w/ everyone but one person left. Flop comes 5c-6h-7h, giving me a gut shot straight flush draw. The stupidly lagtard SB leads out for $20. The big blind whos been really tight for the most part makes a mini-raise to $50. Asian chick behind him calls. Retard behind her calls. Everyone else folds to me. I look down and count out my chips and start thinking whats the best play. Obviously I'm not folding. It's whether I want to just flat call or raise here. I decided to take this bad boy of a draw to war, and hope to give myself some fold equity vs marginal hands or marginal draws... I RAISE ALL-IN $450 TOTAL! Then the dealer looks at me and is like "You can't do that." I'm like "huh?" And he's like "This is a Spread Limit $5-$200 table, you can only raise $200" ... Thanks for telling me that we are playing spread limit actionDJ. Fucking suicide. SB insta folds, the tight big blind calls. Asian chick is like "I raise $200 more." So I'm like fuck how do you wake up with a hand you can felt everytime? So I call off the last of my stack, and so does the big blind. Hands were shown: Both the big blind and the asian chick had 98 for the nut straight. Woot I'm draw totally live! Get there one time! Turn Ad, River 4c. Stacked.

another one bites the dust who cares.. die bastard."
baal's response to someone asking for prayers over someone dying. this guy is a class act people. yet everyone is portraying me as some idiot loose cannon who is out of line. last blog post til tomorrow.
just keep grasping for straws. i wish you would just ban me already. now i can't even type in my blog because it's spamming??? the only way i can communicate (since you banned me) is by posting in my blog and even then I can't make replies, therefore i have to post new topics IN MY BLOG. sorry that you called me an idiot and sorry i retaliated by challenging you (since this is out of line apparently???), but i'll drop it now because you ignored repeated requests for an intellectual duel. if i challenged you at poker you would surely accept, but why not this challenge? and do realize that in that same topic you insulted me numerous times just as i did to you, but you have the upper hand because you are closing in on 10k post (250 of which are calling me names).
[09:01:42 PM] Baal: i gave jkpickett a 1 week ban
[09:01:48 PM] Baal: he went out of line
[09:01:49 PM] Baal: http://www.liquidpoker.net/informatio...Challenging_someone_to_an_inte...html
[09:02:48 PM] Victor: yeah
[09:02:48 PM] Victor: fucked up topic w/e he deserved it
[09:04:14 PM] Victor: 1 week is excellent
Keep the spam in the Blogs and you will be IP banned for life.
So a simple No would have sufficed. I'll take that as a victory. And should I start groveling now so as to avoid the dreaded IP ban for life? Let me know dude. Later.
what i said was pretty much the same thing as he does to me. i know you gotta stand by your guys because they are more valued members, but he is constantly calling me an idiot, moron, stupid, and many other things and i guess that stuff is acceptable?
I tried to contact you, but since I'm banned i couldn't PM you. That post you closed was 100% serious and if you can't take a challenge that is no reason to ban me. All i'm doing is defending you calling me a moron. I really want to prove that you are more of one. And like i said before it's funny you can drop f bombs and call me all kinds of names, but the second you get some challenge you fucking fold. i wanted some serious input from the LP community to help me find a way to make a fair playing field because IQ tests, etc. are for the birds.
You wanna ban me then fine, but you call me names and challenge me, but when i say "hey let's do this" and accept your challenge, then you do the only thing you ever do...BAN ME. what a fucking pussy. i didn't mention your name and it was a legitimate challenge (that still stands btw). i'll put some money up. you talk and say you are so fucking brilliant so i say put your talk to the test. you are a bully punk and i won't be a bitch like the other guys here and kiss your ass. find a way to do this without your little language issue and i'm down. til then see you in a week because i know you won't step up. PUSSY
My computer which is straight outta 2002 finally bit the dust I think. I'm not sure if it is a virus I contracted or what but it will not boot anymore and that's that. Sucks because I didn't really back up any of my PT db's onto removable storage but whatever...
Anyone who mighta got any files from me recently even mp3's or whatever might want to run a few scans on their CPU just to be safe, although I'm pretty sure the thing is just fried and old . It's really bizarre timing because I got a bunch of parts set to arrive in a few days and I'm building a new computer . Got my monitors from PS a few days ago so I'm gonna be all set and good to go.
Damn computers are frustrating. So anyways, If you don't hear from me for awhile, this is why.
Take it easy. In the meantime I'm going to be practicing BW at the computer lab at my University in the time I would normally be playing poker so prepare to get gosu'd Nada style with your speedlings chumps.
P.S. If you live near the beach you should go today, some people never see the Ocean man, think about it.
I fucking hate the Sunday Million... why do I put myself through that torture every single weekend. So freaking retarded. I struggle for the majority of the tournament on a short stack, then 2 hours into the tournament I finally double up w/ Aces then take down another two pots to put me above average. On the bubble, I pulled an aggressive 3 bet with 43 and flopped a pair and a straight draw and got it in vs QQ. Spiked the straight on the turn, so ship the big stack over to me. Held a huge stack all the way down til there was 210 left, then this disaster happens to me:

Went to one of my brothers' high school graduation the other day. It was really depressing being back in the Boston area and seeing people I had been doing a pretty good job of wiping from my memory. It was cool hanging out with old friends though even though we really didn't do much. My parents were really happy to see me and it was nice seeing them as I really only get the opportunity every month or so.
My father has been a police officer for I believe 28 years and he's retiring very soon. It's really weird. I'm very proud of him and I've really never been more happy for him. I think it's such a huge accomplishment, raising children. I'm so afraid for the day where I'll have to do it. I think it will be really hard to out-do the care my parents provided for my family. Like Fishburn says in Boyz in the hood: "Any fool with a dick can make a baby, it takes a real man to raise his child." I gotta think of something really great to buy him since he happens to retire on Father's day. Suggestions?
As far as poker goes, I seem to start every month off on a sick heater, then run stagnant or bad, then end on a sick heater, and June is no exception. I have only played like 3.5k hands of ring on PokerStars as I have been playing alot of heads up on Full Tilt and running kind of blah. I've also played a tourney session here or there to replace a cash one with obviously poor results so that is affecting my total hands. I think I'll be getting back into playing 1.5-3k hands of six max or full ring daily however.
This morning I won a pretty sick pot and was put to a pretty tough decision, I think I'm going to post it up without results but if you search my hands you can find it .
Ahh, I need to catch some sun and hit the gym. Hope you are all doing well.
Oh, small sample size but I'll brag anyways:
Unfortunate all the bad beats I've had, or I'd definitely be running better than 18ptbb. Although, I think that if you took out the hands where I get real lucky, 18ptbb probably becomes my sustainable six max winrate.
Still haven't slept from last nights session, been watching movies and relaxing for the night. Watched Knocked Up tonight, was a pretty good movie, definately kept me entertained for a couple hours atleast.
Got back on for a few hundred more hands after my last blog and played very well, managed to pick up a BI and unlock my bonus that has been pending for about a week now.
During the last week I haven't been putting in close to the hours I was putting in during weeks past. Some tough runs can really take me out of the mood to play real quick, guess its better than sitting there grinding through sometimes unwinnable battles. Every day I wake up I'm going to be looking to play for up to 12-14 hours, but am willing to stop whenever I feel myself slip at all for now on.
Here are alot of hands I played last night :
vs UNCMAC - this is purely transparent and retarded by the villian, since I have AK/AQ or a high PP just about every time here...but he can't think oh well next. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209215
vs spottedsword - another hand that just boggled my mind, I felt he was very weak on the flop, I don't think I should be calling raises with sooted aces PF often, and raise that flop stronger if I decide that I do indeed have the best hand. A little unlucky and a very unskilled play http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209217
vs icemankef - first break of the day - iceman raising AQos UTG and calling my reraise with it - then stacking off w/ AQos when its painfully obvious I have him drawing thin..
When I'm vs a good TAG regular, I think flatting is best on the flop? Most regulars range wouldn't contain AQ calling the reraise although my raise was very weak, but I don't think a regular would bet out AQ on this flop..but this guys a shortstack donkey so I figured he had AKd or AQ here n stuck it in http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209220
vs akfots - shortstack donk minraising UTG - totally priced me in to see this for a chance to win over 50 bets for 2. Just a matter of getting the money in now, he made it pretty easy for me.. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209223
vs nyliu07 - gave him credit for a pp or smthing decent when calling me oop here, my flop bet was weak and gave him a decent price to try and catch this draw.. Thought he was calling me on a pp. Pretty sure the best way to play this is to pot flop, 80% pot turn/fold to reraise..I let him see the turn way to cheap as well..I was playing like shit, its sad to look how shitty I bet this. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209227
vs BoneWreck - I have some issues playing these boards oop and getting paid well.. what are some lines that you guys use? Please, I'm very interested in multiple ways to play this. As played, I raised flop for value, if I just call it really sells that im on a 7 since its multiway with the ace on the board, where as my raise can be a bluff. I really think I should have bet the turn and river strongly here and tried to get paid. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209229
vs KozFactory - Big stack opens for 4x bb in EP, im sittin on 1.5x BI, so I make the call IP w/ my sooted connector. Flop a gin flop and am really hoping he's on AK/AQ (possibly with a diamond to call this reraise, but he instamucks). I think I bet this way to strongly now that I look back at it, since most of the time he will be holding an ace without a diamond here. I still feel a raise is needed since im in the middle of a multiway pot here and I can't let kmart draw to a boat or better flush for free. I think 15 on the flop would be perfect to get HU vs an ace / set / two pair and play it from there. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209239
vs Icecreamman6 - random shortstack calls my open raise on 34s (looking to flop a str8 / flush / or represent any ace vs a pp, or pp vs someone on AK/AQ) Lead flop on my FD, get called, assume he's probably on KQ/AQ or something in this range. BOOM, smash my flush on the turn, go for the check raise since leading into the turn shows I'm not scared of the flush and might not get paid. He oblidges to my check and we're off to the river. 2h, sweet! Money card! drop $8 into a $12 pot, value town baby.
vs c .reach - I got sevens, shorty calls me PF from the button. He's a shortstack, doesn't stand out as a good player or anything. Flop A73 rainbow, I lead 3/4 pot and pick up a caller on the button. I lead the turn $7 leaving him $12 if he calls to get it in, into what would be a $28 river, laying him 3.5/1 to make the call on the river if I get the turn call. He oblidges, I follow through with the plan and take the rest on the river. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209253
vs 420offsuit - button shennagins are fun. Pick up 23s, tables playin fairly tight, I pop it up to steal on the button. 57J flop, I cont bet, get called. Putting him on a small PP or maybe 76/78/J9, other weak middle holdings. Turn brings a 9, completing an open ender and gutterball. check check, and rivers a perfect scarecard, if he wasn't scared that the turn didn't hit me. Ad - now board with two straights, a flush, and 3-5 overcards to his possible hand. Perfect bluff card, I fire out 65% pot, an attempt to value bet bluff and take it down. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209255
vs lifedonk and TheBigFinn - multiway pot from the sb - I picked up A3 and limp in behind a couple limpers. Flop the joint, lead it strongly and go play at other tables expecting to take it down PF. Table pops back up, random donk flats out of the bb, and LifeDonk *NL25/NL50 regular*, (plays fairly TAG, but will take position on pots he feels he can take down with 1-2 barrels), had 3.5x reraised me in position. I'm about 200% sure he has a combo flush draw or set, its definately time to get the money in. I wait a while and 4.25x reraise his bet to commit myself to the pot. He reshoves and we're off. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209257
vs grayling646 - don't even ask me what the hell he was doing, im not going to comment on this hand. "from my ego: I feel like I played this hand perfectly and was shit on." http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209262
vs grayling646 - right after the 39 hand, I compiled my mistake from last hand into this hand and didn't cont bet the flop or turn. Atleast he didn't VB river, probably assuming I was slowplaying AA. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209265
vs kmar1085 - kmar was playing alot of pots with me, and playing fairly aggressively in all of them. I open AJh UTG 4x bb, pick up two callers. KK8, two hearts. Standard cont bet, lowers the field. After he flats hes gotta be on AK,KQ,78,89,88 or a lower FD. Check turn to control potsize vs a possible king, he drops out a small bet and I flat. Here I think I should have value bet the river and tried to get paid, although I think I have to fold to a shove here vs any nitty regulars on NL50 / NL100, and make crying calls vs donks. 20 sounds about right. Judge for yourself, here it is. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/209269
I was very disapointed in my play yeseterday, I had alot in my mind from my life outside poker, pretty sure the distraction had thrown off my game. Going to get a good nights sleep and come back fightin tomorrow!
Yesterday i got run over by the deck with insane suck outs/coolers/set over set/flush over flush. Dropped 4 bis then decided to quit since all my base are belong to the amazing tilting monkey.
Today went back and managed to win 2 bis in 1k hands when this happen:

This game is so sick sometimes, so fucking sick i mean i have been waiting for hours to stack that fucking fish and he managed to 2 outs me on the river. Now i feel the urge to either jump from my window or behead a kitty.
Ok so I'm just going to start off by saying that NL400 is going well for me. I'm up $2600 in 4k hands this month. Ship that shit. On to the main part of my post, the Red Bull BC One B-Boying Competition 2006 DVD is going to be released soon and guess whos going to be 1st in line to get it! Yea that's right, ME bitches. The BC One 2006 was hosted in Brasil, so the music is a little funky, but the event was far more popular in 2006 than 2005 and only the top 4 dancers from 2005 got to return to the 2006 competition.
If your lost in translation, this will introduce you to the BC One:
Here is the 2006 DVD Preview where they introduce all the dancers and half short clips of each:
Obviously Hong 10 ripped shit up with some gosu ass moves and represented mother Korea well:
