Had a great 3 table 6max session, but quit when things started falling apart but i was still up considerably. I went to the Kimball Art Museum in Ft. Worth saturday to view some paintings and sculptures. I have to right a 6 page paper on a painting and i chose The Cardsharps by Caravaggio.

I had my first game of the Old Mans League... Pitched well, but gave up 4 runs in 3 innings... we lost 4-3. There was like 4 errors made so my ERA should be low. I went 1-2 with a 2 RBI single up the middle in the last inning. Almost had a comeback.
Then i took a nap. Now i'm doing laundry and about to play Raquetteball.

the statistically impossible happened today. i was DEEP with ACES. Shoved preflop 3 times. Lost to KK, QQ, JJ. They all made a set. lol?!?!?! funny, cause this only happenes when i am 200bb deep. i just emailed support(this did not happen at stars, at the fucking "12yearold made this software" site.. )
my bank roll was up to 2k mid day but now its down to 1.5k. fucking riduclous day. every time i say "ok 1 more hour then ill do my assignment" i end up losing to a riduclous suck out, a fish has my money and i keep playing to try and eventually and get it back, which happens most of the time. i wait PAITENTLY for my fucking hands playing 14/14, WITH HIM RUNNING 88/40, shove PF with AA, and get owned. JESUS CHRIST
yayaya everyone has their bad beat day. i dun give a flying fuck when i lose to random suck outs. once, twice, 10 times, 20 times. whatever, i just shrug it off and know that they will pay me off later. but this is not called variance. its called fucking doom switched.
of course im whining like a little bitch to feel better about it so dont tell me to just take the bad beats in my stride coz the point of this post is just to let out the anger. first losing day this month.these are only stars hands.
ill still up 400$ in 2.5 days on that donk site when i should be easily at 800$.
and now is a good time to take a break and focus on my work which i havent done at all since 2 days ago. positive reframe ftw.
oh this is a huge leak i have. i can never get away with from these two type of hands. and these are reraised pots im talking about.
situation 1: flop comes rags. I have an overpair (jj-qq), im getting the money in cause i put him on tp or some fd or sd. he ends up with a higher over pair.

how do you play these hands? if you reraise he shoves if he has a lower overpair or a set. how can you identify his hand and get away from it? i thought it was stats but this fucking 9/8 guy raised utg with 88.board came k84o and i had aces, reraised and he shoved.
these 2 situations are where i lose the huge majority of my money.

so i realised that im playing a massive amt of hands but not getting any rakeback at stars. so ill try taking a bonus at another site and took out 300 out of my 1.1k stars roll.
and omfg its grown to 700 in one day, bringing my br to 1.5k. the software is a complete joke (it looks like some high school student made the interface and avatars) but thgere are so many fish its unbeleivable. nl50 here is like nl5 at stars. plenty of active tables and average pots are 20-33bbs. so pt doesnt work there but whatever
i wonder how much i could have made if i started here instead of stars. of course im not improving only in the sense that i can own fish even harder now. and im bored to death palying 4 tables and writing this blog at the same time but winning in one day what u take 3-4 days to struggle and earn makes it all wroth it.
edit: i did have my fair share of incredible suckouts whiuch is always the case when playing with donks so its not that im on a heater, there are just too many fish
morale of story is: there is life outside of stars
i know its nothing compared to the better players on this site, but nevertheless this is a milestone for me and im really happy! i started playing on stars 2 weeks ago with $70bucks and i have been playing alot! 30k hands maybe.
started today with $840 and 9 tabeled for like 8 hours. pt3 didnt work today so i had to pay extra attention to the tables. of course the suck outs were plentiful with the most retarded hand being me QQ opening pf to $2 flop comes 776r. i pot, donk calls. turn is 8. now my read based on how fast he called the flop is this donk is on a wk str draw so i overbet $24(his remaining stack) into the $10 pot. Of course the retard calls and the river comes an 8. and his hole cards are 8 10o giving him trips. perfect read perfect play fucking riduclous result.
anyway i can beat nl25 and nl50 now and im really happy about that. did some thinking the other day to fix my leaks and it has been smooth sailing all the way. not as awesome as dragonzplay but im not complaining. so i have been opening 1-2 tables of 50nl when my br hit 800 and omg there are some ridiculous fish which you dont even see at nl25! i have been selecting games very carefully and i think thats the #1 important thing to always do.
so i can play 50nl now with 20 buyins and i hope like lachlan, one day soon i can do a 10k boom bankroll post. i would put up graphs but PT3 isnt working with the new stars update atm, and my database is in build 2 and not beta 17
for now, im going to take a break and go back to my studies.
p.s i did try posting some 'advice' on the forums and got totally owned. ouch! im not whining, they have a point and are better players than i am for sure so i guess my thinking just isnt as advanced as them yet. so i shall only give 'advice' in the stakes ive beaten from now on.
+ about 3 allin flips which I never seem to be able to win. A couple of bad plays vs shortstacks, had a good HU session that saved yesterday, and had a good hu session where this kid took 4 buyins in 100 hands and left, and here I am.
I swear to god, if anybody asks me how poker is going I am just going to shut up, I can never have a good run, and enjoy it - somebody has to fucking kick me in the face saying "Hey iop, this was a taste of you thinking you are playing good, here; let me introduce you to variance"
