I run bad every 3rd day
  blackjacki2, Oct 03 2009

How can it happen so consistently that I am able to beat a game 10 sessions in a row and then lose exactly everything I make within 15 minutes into the 11th session? This pattern has happened 4-5 times in a row now. I never knew run bad could be so methodical.

Some hands (all happening within 15 minutes)

Last one isn't really run bad but of course I lose a flip for a 5 buyin pot during my doomswitch session

September
  blackjacki2, Oct 01 2009

Pretty lame month overall. Up about 1k for the month in PLO50 but I cleared probably 6 or 7 hundred in bonuses so in actuality I was hardly above breakeven. I've also been running extremely bad over the last couple weeks but I've been breakeven over the last couple weeks which shows how easy it is to beat this level. Got rivered by quads 2 sessions in a row with set over set. Stacking off with set over set happens so rarely that getting rivered by quads 2 sessions in a row is just =[

I also hit platinum star for the first time ever :D

Slowrollaments
  blackjacki2, Sep 14 2009

Was looking at the WCOOP events that are running and decided to open up a table. This was the first hand I saw..

The jackass tanked for like 90 seconds on the river before calling.

Then there is this thread http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/58/heads-up-nl/stevesbets-25k-response-583913/ Where a guy flops the nuts and tanks for 2 minutes before calling an all-in in the 25k Heads-up tourney. What is wrong with these jackasses..

Funny 45man SnG spot
  blackjacki2, Sep 10 2009

Was playing a $1 45person sit n go with a friend. $1 because he plays at work so he doesnt want to lose more than a $1 if a customer comes in. He got busted with 99 v KK, I make it down to the final 3 people.

Last 3 people were

Me: 10k in chips
LAG: 40k in chips
Disconnected player: 9k in chips

So the 3rd player disconnects and instead of pokerstars making him sit out he is just disconnected and every time it is his action it takes 20 seconds before he times out. The LAG is shoving almost every other hand, and I can just fold to 2nd place or I can try to overcome a 4:1 chip lead for 1st place. Blinds are like 300/600 so not a lot to work with. 1st pays $14, 2nd pays $10, 3rd pays $7.

I figure highest EV is to just fold to 2nd place? Of course unless I get a pp of like tens or better? I asked big stack if he thought it was the d/c'd players strategy to d/c on purpose to frustrate people. He said maybe. Ten minutes later he says "he wins, bye." and sits out. It took me 20 minutes + break to blind both of them out for the free 1st place.

August results
  blackjacki2, Aug 31 2009

online

pokerstars - +1000
FTP - +200

live

poker room - -148
home game - +214

total - ~1250

Ran pretty darn good on Pokerstars. Up 20 buyins in 5,000~ hands. However with my lack of volume I barely made silverstar for the second month in a row...

Running good
  blackjacki2, Aug 25 2009

Despite running bad for all of July and having a breakeven month I am now running Godly in August. I'm winning 95% of my flips, it's pretty crazy.

A couple hands

A first for me!
  blackjacki2, Aug 23 2009

Getting KK v AA in NLHE =[ What sucked was that it was live, we were deep, and I didn't have a rebuy. I took another bad beat because the card room was running a promotion to give away $500 every half hour to the first person to win a hand with pocket aces. I get there at 7:20 and at :32 past the hour I get AA but they were late on calling the rollover =[ Got doubled up by a guy chasing a flush draw though but still..

Think I am going to take a break from live poker. People just want to give their money away but the suckouts are just so sick with the stuff people play. Last time I was there I got pocket 8h8s in the BB and decided to setmine since it was 4way flop and it is real easy to stack someone if I hit. Flop comes 7c8dJd. SB bets $15 and I raise to $30 and both the other plays call. Turn comes Qc, SB checks, I shove, and everyone calls. Guy to my left has 7h7d. Guy to my right said he had a "gutshot draw" lol. The last guy, who was the only one to have me covered, had Ac2c and the river comes 9c, which means he committed 25% of his stack with an ace high and a backdoor flush draw in a 4 way pot.. Wow

Help me get supernova
  blackjacki2, Aug 19 2009

So I desperately want supernova because supposedly that is as good as FTP's rakeback and I like the software on stars 10 times more than on FTP. I 6-9 table PLO50 and I don't put very many hands in. I get about 3,000 VPP per month. (Does anyone know how many hands on average that is?) What's the best strategy for me if I want to grind out supernova very quick? Should I just put a ton more hands in or should I try to 24 table full ring NLHE for a couple months? Basically any advice on grinding supernova in terms of games / stakes / # of tables and # of hands required is appreciated.

Buying in for less than max
  blackjacki2, Aug 14 2009

Why does it seem like there is such a strong stigma against people that buy in for less than 100 BBs yet the people that play nosebleeds on FTP almost never buy in for max? I've seen even Phil Ivey sit down with 30 BBs. I think it was Ferguson that used SSS to turn $0 into $100,000 or whatever it was. How come the pros get away from this stigma but everyone is a fish/donkey?

Mike Matusow lookalike
  blackjacki2, Jul 23 2009

Played NL2 tonight with a Mike Matusow lookalike. When I first sat down I said to myself "holy shit its Mike Matusow." I gave him a good hard look and realized it wasn't actually Mike Matusow, which I kind of already knew since Mike wouldn't be in some random Florida casino playing NL2. As the night went on, the resemblance becamse more and more amazing. First, the guy's VOICE was the EXACT SAME as Mike's. His blow ups were the exact same as Mike's. The groan he would make when he would call a raise and then someone would reraise after him was amazing. He claims to have met the real Mike Matusow and that even Mike Matusow's own mother says they are really similar. He says he is working with the poker room's management to bring Mike Matusow here sometime in late August.

Either way, from the moment I sat down he spent the entire night complimenting me for some reason. He kept repeating that all he wanted to do was win one pot from me because apparently I'm really really good. It took him $200 and 3 hours but he finally won a small pot.
