Early finish to April, because i'm going on a HUGE road trip.

I am flying out with my GF to Perth in a few hours and then driving with a fellow poker player Filthy999 back to Sydney. The trip is estimated to be 4000km and will last approximately 6 days with a few stops at a few scenic places on the way! We are stopping at I think the biggest national park in Australia, "The Nullabor" and maybe Port Augusta.

Anyways this month has been bloody amazing, easily my best month yet. I completed 67601 vpps this month, reaching a yearly tally of 256471 quite a bit off SNE. My prob bet that I will make SNE still stands at the odds of 1:1, will action up to $10,000. Place your bets before May 5th.

Anyways I'm apparently 26k Above EV this MONTH, Please keep this up and don't doom switch me!!!!!

Hi All,

Some of you know that I've been considering leaving my job for poker(http://www.liquidpoker.net/poker-forum/448767/Job_Vs_Poker.html) the last couple of weeks.

Thanks to everyone's advice I was finally able to make my mind up, today was my last day at work. I left the place in good spirit, and will be able to go back if I wish some where down the track in life.

Anyways now that I'm a poker pro, I better start setting some REAL goals.

1. Propbet. Reach SNE this year.
I currently have 240,275 VPPs. I'll take 1:1 odds. and will action trusted members up to $20,000.

2. Make $300,000 this year. (Including rake back)

If you wanna discuss details of the propbet, please send me a PM.

Another important agenda for me is looking forward to getting a coach to improve my game, so if there are any pros out that want to teach a dedicated student please give me a PM so we can work some deals out.

Anyways I will be going on holidays until May 4th roughly before I start poker again.

Hmmm what to say. I started full time work as a Risk Analyst with Deloittes and have played less hands than usual and have just tried to cram hands with alot of tables which has increased my variance and stress. May try to cut down on hands and just play only when i am focused. Balancing poker and work life has been extremely difficult and thus March has been up and down a lot.

I aint a great player and have many leaks that and I ran horribly at 5/10 which contributed to a 13k downswing.

Brag - Up 12k @ 2/4 + 3/6 in Feb over 40k hands
Beat - Lost my poker database with almost 900000 hands. (still have hands in txt files.. but PT won't let me import them )
Variance - +8 buyins on 5/10 today.


P.S Fulltime work just started.... so my goal is 50k hands a month.

Well what to say, January was a very disappointing month. Every 400NL 600NL table was filled with regs. When ever I play the tables would just be, me, renton555, kelisitaan, counterfeit, Tecknowledgy, doomer, actiondj, babs1337, futilewar, ihatepoker and nit of your choice. Although some of those players aren't great they are good enough to not pay you.

That coupled with the fact that I suck at poker and spew too much in bluffs I have ran at an awesome 0.91PTBB/100 for 150k hands..

At the moment I'm considering reworking my game and would like some advice on where some of my leaks are from resident FR pros here (Sean, Myth, doomer etc). Or what I can do to find out and fix my leaks.

Anyways lets hope Feb 2008 will be better. /wrist

Disciplined grinding, no shots, no hu, no nothing other than NL200 mass multitabling and getting my game back together, and getting off tilt of losing 70k after winning it playing headsup with Joe Hachem.

I've learned a shit ton, and fucked up a shit ton, but I'm not phased, I'm working up the cashgame ladder much deeper this time and following through with my word.

LUL HAI LPERS, I MISSED YOU GUYS SOOOO SOOO MUCH.

Truth is i've been in China visiting relatives and could not log on LP because the Government banT LP. Anyways today it somehow worked so imo make blog post and read like 2months later when im back in AUS.

Anyways December has been decent, (-6k on PT in AUS), (-1k on laptop), (+16k on comp in china), Graphs and shit below. I ran above 1PTBB above expectation in december for the last 80k hands which is great, but it makes me feel bad about my game. According to Pokerev im losing 4.3PTBB in hands that dont goto showdown i.e why the green line is so much below the red/blue, does anyone know what this indicates or might indicate? Perhaps Myth or someone else that has played with me can tell me a few leaks I should fix?

Anyways I've well surpassed my final fourth milestone for the year which was to exceed 50k in profits. Lets see, I've cashed out 4k, 30k, and have a 51k bankroll.
Hoping to get 60k Bankroll and give 3/6 a shot next year. I'm also looking to talk more and discuss more poker with the good players I already know, plus make a few more friends hopefully (drop ur msn to my PM box plz) and hopefully all become better poker players. Although I accomplished what I set out to achieve I am not fulfilled as so many other poker players have earned so much more and have done so much better than me, I havent set a goal for next year yet, I don't want to make it anything crazy as I will be working full time as some a risk analyst for deloitte so suggestions are welcome.

Anyways, this month has been crazy (Refer to last blog post), basically couldn't win flips and shit. According to PokerEV PS owes me $20,000 in equity over like 80k hands. Anyways everyday was hell and went something like this.

6am Wake up, eat
9am Uni
7pm Get home
8pm Dinner
9pm-2am Poker Lose $500.

Rince repeat for 30days. Life sucks. Anyways realized I had fallen into a, Run bad --> Play bad --> Tighten up --> Play too passive --> Run bad cycle. I tried to change it and just play my game, focus on the decision at hand on every table. And amazingly today I broke even!

This has been the most insane downswing I have ever had, anyway here is the graph.
