I haven't been posting for a long long time but I've been really busy. First I went to Wick (Scotland) to visit my father and we had some good time. Then I went to Edinburg to visit my friends from my high school back in Poland. We got sooo wasted and I had to catch a morning train. I woke up at 9:30am or so and I was still pissed. This was like my worst train journey ever. I was back in Manchester around 6pm and at 8pm me and my friends were going to some flat party in a posh district of the city. Basically we brought like 3 bottles of wine (which I hate) but the girls that were organising this party bought a shitloads of alcohol. Everything you could imagine. So once again I got really pissed and had a fight with my mate in the main square in the city centre but it was more like for fun. The only problem is that it was raining and when I got back home I was all wet.
The very next day I had to pick up my best friend from the airport as he was visitting me in Manchester. OBviously I overslept but luckily his flight was late so it wasn't that bad. We had a great time. We went out a few times and we were eating out almost all the time so I'm afraid I gained a few kilos. Not good before the summer but I think I'll start working out or sth to get in better shape before hitting beaches.
Yesterday I came back to Poland and I'm sooo happy. I'm gonna spend here like 3,5 months so it's going to be great. This week I'll be quite busy as I need to meet with everyone etc etc so I won't be playing much poker again ;/
For the last 2 weeks I haven't played much but I managed to put in some short session where I won some money (except for the short nl200 session where I dropped 3 buyins in like 20 minutes but it were all beats and setups). I don't have time to post any hands or stats right know. I'm not sure about my results from May but I guess it wasn't that bad and I made a bit together with rakeback. I hope June is going to be awesome, I just need to get back into the game, watch a couple vids on CR and hit the tables. I'm hoping to finally play 50k hands this month but we'll see how it goes.
Right now I'm gonna pick up Kapol from LP from the railway station and we're gonna play some live cash games today so it should be fun. Tommorow I'm going to the restaurant with a few friends of mine and later on we're going out to some club. This week should be really good and I'm looking forward to the rest of the summer. Holla
So I've moved to NL200 like 2 days ago. I didn't have much time to play but I managed to put in 3 session. I'm running pretty good and trying to adapt to the game but it's only slightly different. I've noticed that I've got more fold equity here and I can make some more moves with a proper image (even though someone check/called me on all streets with AA after A high flop, when I was triple barreling - he just called my preflop raise with aces in SB). My stats are really nitty so far but I've started to open up my game a bit and now I've got a better feel for the players. Hopefully I can stay on rush for a bit longer and get a more solid roll for these stakes. At the moment I've got about 7,3k or so I think. Here are my stats:
I've gotta go now so I won't post any hand histories now. I'll probably do it in the evening. Today I'm planning on playing a lot of poker during the night as I'm not going to bed. I can't oversleep for my early morning train again and the only way to make sure it won't be like that is to actually not sleep at all. Ok that's it for now. Holla
Fuck this shit. It's always like this. I've got 3 alarm clocks and neither of them wakes me up. Instead I wake up exactly at the time when my train/plane is supposed to leave. I think it's already the 3rd time this year. Meh.. Ok time to get my lazy ass out of my bed, take a shower, eat sth and go to the railway station to catch the next train. I think it's going to be about 1pm. Sucks. Hopefully I won't have to pay any extra charges.
So yesterday I had some beers and a bottle of whisky with my friend. I was pretty pissed, had a kebab when I was coming back and when I tried to fall asleep it was impossible since I felt like I had a helicopter in my head. Finally I managed to about 5:30am. My friend called about 10am and when I was talking to him it seemed like he was still drunk. After that I fell asleep again and woke up like 4:30pm. I ate my breakfast at 6pm and went to railway station to buy the ticket.
Tommorow I'm going to Wick (north part of Scotland - pretty much the end of the world) to see my father. I need to fkin change like 3 times and it's take 13-14hrs so it's gonna be a really fucked up day. I'm gonna be there on Monday and Tuesday and on Wednesday I'll stop in Edinburgh for one day. A few friends of mine (back from my high school in Poland) live there so I'll stay for a night and get drunk as hell and get back to Manchester the next day. So this week should be pretty fun. And next Sunday my best friend from Poland is visitting me here. He's gonna stay for a week and we'll get back to Poland together. I've known him since his birth (he's one year younger than me) and we always have sooo much fun together and he's a hilarious guy so I can't wait to see him again.
Because of that I won't be playing much poker for the next two weeks but I'll make up for it when I come back to Poland. This summer should be sweet. Playing poker, partying etc for the whole time. Can't wait to see my family and friends again.
So I just got my results from IELTS exam. And I got 8 out of 9 That means that I officially got into the uni. I only needed 6 so 8 is pretty awesome. 8 means that I have "fully operational command of the language with only occasional unsystematic inaccuracies and inappropriacies. Misunderstanding may occur in unfamiliar situations. And I handle complex detailed argumentation very well."
So now it's time to party a bit. I'll probably get pissed as fuck tonight so it's gonna be a gooooot weekend.
But as usually I am too ashamed to show my nittiness. Time to go to bed now. Tommorow I'm going to pick up my results of the IELTS exam and then (despite the results) I'm gonna get drunk with my friend and a bottle (or two) of whisky. So I won't have much time to play tommorow but I'll try to put in about 1k hands.
Also I'm downloading like 50gb of tv series right now. Six seasons of Sopranos, four seasons of Nip/Tuck and first two seasons of The Wire. Next week I think I'll go to Scotland for the weekend to visit my father. It takes like 9hrs to get there by train so at least I won't be bored with all my new tv series.
I haven't been playing much for the last few days (except for yesterday). I played semi-good because I made some shitty plays where I tried to be too fancy. Nothing interesting is going on really. Here are my stats:
It's a bit on Stars and the rest is on Prima. I still haven't made the video as my microphone doesn't work properly. It's so quiet that I can barely hear anything when I'm making a video. I tried all options and settings in windows, camtasia etc and it didn't help. So I'll probably just get a new mic. And hopefully I'll make the video by Sunday.
Apart from poker I've been watching loads of TV series. I watched all 3 seasons of Entourage in like 4 or 5 days. This show is sooooo good. And Ari Gold just owns. Too bad that each episode lasts for like 25 minutes and I need to wait for a week now to get a new one.
Ari owns an employee
Ari fires another employee
Ari flips out on therapist and wife
Ari fires a guy after eye surgery
Ari negotiating
Yesterday I went to my friends' name-day and had quite a few beers. On my way to home I obviously had a kebab. Today I woke up about 2pm and watched first episode of The Wire and it seemed kinda boring. I'm also downloading Nip/Tuck and Sopranos so maybe they'll be better. Any other shows you could recommend? I've already watched Prison Break, Heroes, Rome, Coupling and I don't like Lost.
I only played a short session where I ran like shit. I'm quite hangover and tired so I probably won't play anymore today. My roll is getting close to 6k so I'll probable take a shot at nl200 soon, probably next week. Oh and I played Sunday Million on Stars and got fucked right after 1st break. Holla
And I tried to make a vid today but my camtasia got fucked in the middle and I couldn't save it. I'll try again tommorow. I played for like an hour and lost like $60. Nothing special just a couple of 5-outers but I also stacked a guy with a fullhouse when he overbet pushed river with missed gutshot:
In the evening I had quite a few things to do online. Write some emails, fill in some forms etc. So I didn't feel like playing cash games as I wasn't focus at all and I ended up launching like 6-7 donkaments. Mostly satelites to Sunday Million and Wednesday 150k (all on Stars). I only managed to cash in 3$ 6max triple shootout. So I'm thinking wether I should play it or cashout the monies for dem drinkz for the weekend partying and stuff. Adding it to my roll won't make a big difference. So help me make a decision:
Poll: What to do wit dem $215 I won?
(Vote): Play on Sunday and win 200k+
(Vote): Just withdraw the money and get pissed during weekend
(Vote): Add it to your roll (boring and nitty)
I'm still in a CardRunners League donkament. It starts at 1:30am here in the UK but I wanted to play it anyway. I'll post how it went later. And here are some fun hands from today (I'll post them in one link cause I'm too lazy to do it one by one):
Tommorow I'll try to make another video but I also want to put in a decent session. I think I'm gonna play a bit on PS as well so that means that I'd have my roll spread across 3 poker rooms (PP, PS, i4). What do you think about it? Maybe I should rather stick to one room and play more with the regulars to skill up and learn how to exploit them?
So I played a morning session on nl200 and ran pretty bad again and dropped like $700. No huge beats but ultra cold decked etc. I was playing quite good, not tilting. The cards and opponents weren't just cooperating. I decided to play a nl100 session in the evening and I chose to play on FTP. So I opened 6 tables but the soft is pretty slow so I opened 2 more. This alone was a mistake since I was planning to play 4 tables for the rest of the month. But that's not all. I was still kinda bored and I decided to lag it up a bit and was playing like 30/25. I got bad beat once and started tilting.. After like 20 minutes I also tried to make a bluff on the river when 150bb deep which would be pretty good if I had a normal image, not a maniac one.. After this hand I was down $300 and switched off FTP immedietaly. I'm really pissed off now. At myself. Not because I dropped $700 on nl200. Not because this is my worst day in poker (-$1000). But because I was fkin tilting. I thought that I got rid of this problem but unfortunetaly not. My discipline really sucks.
My roll dropped to about 5,5k so it's no that terrible but I'm going to get back to nl100, at least till the end of this week. If on Monday morning my roll will be above 6k I'll take another shot at nl200 - and if I drop to 5k I'll get back to nl100 again. What do you think about it? 5-buyin shot is anough or should I give myself more "space" for the usual swings when I move up?
The only thing I'm glad about is that I switched off FTP immedietaly after I realised that I'm almost tilting like crazy instead of trying to win my monies back by playing like a donk. I'm really going to try to work hard on my discipline and hopefully this situation won't repeat in the future. I don't really know why it happened this time. I was only 3,5 buyins down for the day and like 5 buyins down total after moving up to nl200. I think it's just the fact that I was afraid that it's gonna be like 3rd unsuccessful attempt to move up to nl200. But it's not an excuse and it shouldn't happen for sure. And it won't in the future. Meh, I feel really ashamed. Me stupid.
I also cashed out all my monies from FTP cause their software is so tilt-tempting. In the last 2-3 months I tilted like 3 times and everytime it was on FTP. Plus they've got these very tempting HU cash games but like a month ago I told myself I won't play them in the nearest future and I'm gonna stick to it. So no I've got my roll on PP and i4 and I'm gonna play these sites exclusively. I might give FTP a quick shot if they give my reaload bonus soon cause they've did it once not long time ago when I cashed out everything.
Ok enough of that shit. No more poker today. Time to relax a bit and watch some tv series etc. Oh, and remember - do not tilt.
So yesterday I played a lot of poker. I was playing only 4 tables but I played for like 6 hours so it's good that I'm finally putting more time into poker. I ran pretty mediocre yesterday but still managed to win about $650. Here are some hands:
1. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/188630
I'd really like to hear opinions on this one. So firt of all villain was quite a big fish . He was calling down pretty light, bluffing in the wrong spots etc etc (some time ago in this session I stacked him w/ KT 125bb deep on 2T3T3 board - dunno what he had though cause this shitty software doesn't show mucked hands). In this hand I think that he's calling flop and turn with any J, straight draw etc but on the other hand he also loved to slowplay big hands (sets, two pairs, straights). What do you think about turn? Is betting obligatory? What's our plan on the river now?
2. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/188620
I started picking up a bit more on opponents' weakness. On turn I knew that he either has some shitty pair or a draw so I raised him up an fired again on river.
3. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/188621
Here's just some random ordinary hand. I think I still like my turn bet a lot. First of all I'm preventing him from floating me OOP, I'm protecting my hand against a flush draw and I can even get some better hands to fold. 3 was a good card as I knew he wouldn't call me with 3x on the flop as he was kinda solid. Thoughts?
4. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/188624
I'd really like to hear some opinions on this one. It's not a very interesting hand at all but I was thinkin a lot about this river spot. Basically the pot is $64 and he's betting just $20 so we're getting 4-1 but we're hoping for a split only. So we're putting 20$, hoping to win $32. So the odds are like 1,5-1 so we need to be right like 40% of the time, right?
5. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/188629
Villain was a fish you really want to see at your table. He was calling down pretty light, bluffing in terrible spots and would never believe that someone is betting big with a huge hand. Ship it.
6. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/188619
So basically all I was worried about was a busted flush draw with a king. He'd bet more with a very strong hand.
8. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/188633
Definitely not standard but we were like 200bb deep and first of all I wanted to control the size of the pot a bit and at the same time he was tilting a bit and he loved to bluff when anyone has shown some weakness. So I took a risk and gave him a chance to outdraw me but I still think it was a good play. Thoughts?
9. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/188635
Very basic stuff. Are you raising this turn or just flat calling? What range do you put him on after leading such turn card? Villain was unknown but seemed semi-decent. Not good but not awful.
Ok, that's it for now. Time to watch a CR vid and play some poker. Hopefully I get be in the green on nl200 after today.
