Soooo Jan. was an interesting time.....

Beginning of the month I was feeling kind of meh, but I came into the new year with a resolution to wake up at 10AM at least every weekday. I succeeded at the beginning, struggled a little bit with it when I got kind of upset about running so bad at 1/2 in the early-middle of the month, but I pulled it together and I've been getting up right about 10am for about 80% of this month. I'm proud of myself overall, as this sleeping thing is something I've had trouble with since I was a young kid. I'm going to continue the 10AM shiznat.


About two weeks ago I decided to get back into Magic The Gathering. I played it like 12 years ago in middle school but hadn't touched it since. Its damn fun! And its a great way to meet new people and be social. If I keep enjoying it I am going to plunk down some cash and try to become an MTG tournament player on the side haha.

Oh well.. at least it looks a lot better in BBs LOL!

All graphs are 92% 6max, nl100 is like 35% rush I think. Nice way to get some volume in.

I also played 115 hands of nl400 and won $431, SICK LIFE.



I wish I could of had an awesome month (ie if I didn't play nl200 at all...) and 1/2 was quite soul crushing at times, but I'm feeling better and my roll is surprisingly healthy. Some NL100 professional got angry when I 3bet him today and said, 'you taking another nl100 shot? , You should turn down the aggression', then he folded obv. I don't even 3bet that much..

Really going to try not to open any 1/2 tables until Feb 1. Getting too old to keep dumping all my income running bad and getting tilted and demotivated and shit.

Then I'll be back on mass 1/2 shooting.

Looking to sort of bounce this off of you guys, as I don't really have any experience with this.

Basically, a good friend of mine (who is my ex gf, from like 3 years ago, we haven't been romantically involved for ~2 years and I'm not looking to reignite that), has gone from a healthy weight to nearly 150% of her previous weight over a period of 4 or so years. She is overweight now, and according to BMI is on her way to being considered obese. I honestly am worried about the direction she is headed, as she has very bad eating habits/food preferences and always has.. I guess its just been kicking in since she passed ~19 years old.

Should I talk to her?
How should I approach it?
What should I NOT say? lol

Awesome nl100 graph this month


Running super hot at nl100, coolering tons of people, and been having some fun experimenting with some unusual plays. Not actually sure if my unusual plays have resulted in larger profits or not rofl.




I've ran SUPER, extremely bad at nl200 and I tilted a bit too . I'm down 16 buyins for the month there LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Times like this I always think about "well I could just spend the next 2 weeks grinding the limit I'm comfortable at and have a nice healthy mindset and roll for the next limit afterwards!", but there's literally zero chance that if my roll is above ~22buyins for the next limit that I'm not sitting at it lol. Oh well.

Just going to keep on truckin.. off to the gym and a movie date with a friend.

Sickest 6 hour session that included a deep run in a 32k guarentee tourney

Session after I set up my second monitor.

Hope I stick at 1/2 this time. Goal is to settle in and really earn some money for a couple months. And stack bigred 100 times!!

So I woke up today and for some reason I was just in a heads up mood. I opened up a couple of HU tables and after a couple of regs dodged me, one had the testicular fortitude to battle me to the death. I fought a 7ptbb winner at nl100 over 80k hands. I ran very good but I absolutely dismantled him in every hand. I'm quite sure I played some of the best poker I ever have and I'm really pleased. The only downside was that I kind of spazzed and ran bad vs another guy and dropped 4 or 5 buyins to him.

Overall I'm really pleased I finally had a reasonable winning day on my own.. this month has been absolutely heart breaking. I've felt almost dead inside. No emotions or happiness.. Just depressed and miserable. It sucks having this kind of response to just a downswing in poker but every big swing is still a huge % of my bankroll plus I'm broke IRL right now and I so badly want to get into a stable situation. Well, whatever, I'll try to ride the variance until I'm in a better position. Feeling good right now.
