Seriously, this is getting sick.

One spew where I called push on flush board with AK and one TPTK beat by a set of a total maniac which could be avoided perhaps.

But apart from that its just suckouts, coolers, and heaters later TT

I was pissed in the morning. The Suckouts and my tilt were so sudden that 5minutes beyond stop lost cost me like a billion bb.

-200
I can't stand NL10 any more
1 Month until my full-time job starts
back to $600

So I decided to fuck it all, take my measly BR and do one do or nothing session at 9 tables NL25.

My plan was clear - I would quit poker into 1hr/day mode if I went under $450, as I have not played standard last 50 days.

Well, looks like I will hang around for a while.

Just one rule- no NL10.

I have one month of free life, and I will either rock it in style at NL25, or simply not rock at all.

Also, I will take aggressive shots at NL50 with $1000.

The following month will decide if this game is really for me, if I have high stakes potential in 3-4 year horizon, or if my time is better spent elsewhere.

Ideally I should have supernova (4k VPP left) and be spending most of my time at NL50 by the end of the next month to make grinding worthwhile with my job

OMFG
  LemOn[5thF], Jun 27 2009

Back to $600.

I haven't played normal poker in about 50 days.I had brutal downswing in May, then moving, forced withdrawal (about $700), PC troubles only to run into yet another brutal downswing and -EV stretch

I start a full time job in a month, and am seriously considering just quit poker or play like 1hr/day, ask family for cash and enjoy the summer.

Redline Fighting ~.~
  LemOn[5thF], Jun 26 2009

Since I run like shit again and am forced to stay at NL10 (I set myself a goal of 3bb/100 overall since I reseted my database 30k hands ago -currently 12BI below EV and 1.2bb/100 lol).

I decided to work on my redline since it was downward sloping and the best was breakeven.

At first I went for a huge monkey style, push everything to the maximum and run some huge bluffs (got stacked with air about 9 times hehe -.-)
Ran about 34/26 and at times my red line was sloping up and away.
The results were a 'little bit' swingy though ;o

After this I took the lessons from the huge bluffest I was trying to pull and tightened back to 22/18.
I have added a whole new set of moves into my repertoire which all involve Call Preflop.

I was never calling so far, only set mining.
I start calling weak regs and weak people generally. I added donkbet, bluff check/raise, various types of floating and fake river value bets.

I also started to double barrel people that have 20%+ fold turn stats a ton, and for the first time I started to Show My bluffsto tilt enemies.

So far I keep up the what seemed to be impossible- positive red line at NL10.

I have to admit that the results are the same as when I play 14/13, but tell you what, this is helluva fun :D

Just an evidence of how bad I run:

Video Card?
  LemOn[5thF], Jun 15 2009

Since I can take a snapshot it cannot be anything else right?

All kind of weird shit is happening from stripes all over the screen to simply frozen actual image to complete blackout or random white squares.

Most of the time I restart, but sometimes the PC restarts itself.

I don't think I have to tell you how much this tilts me, I had this, before that a virus (newly installed AVG found 3 trojans and 5 other viruses lolz) and a Generic host for win32 processes bug (shuts down internet every 10 minutes, I spent about 15 hours trying to get rid of that shiz.

Last week: 800 hands
-10BI

Good Days
  LemOn[5thF], Jun 07 2009

I didn't buy my Ninja yet due to laziness, so today I was 4tabling between moving for a lil' (I have a new flat with my GF, today I will sleep over for the first time ;o)

I run good again I would say, and I feel I have control over the limit (as I always felt by the way, I was just tilted by the never ending suckouts and coolers)

One more session and I will be comfortably at 1k again thanks to the $160 bonus (I was at 600 3days ago, now $840)

From the perspective of a week, I have to say that I am glad for the doomswitch, as it forced me to grind NL10 which I never did.
Skipping limits is bad, and now I know why - The large amount of fish at NL10 works as a boot camp for future limits. When you have played with 50% of them at NL10 you know how they think, their general flawed patterns and its easier to spot and exploit them when you meet them at higher limits, where they exist in lower percentages (you don't play them as much and it takes much longer to understand their thinking processes and flaws).

I also feel stronger mentally, and after what I have been through I don't get emotional when the 'bad' limit that I crush starts to own me.
3Months of steady 5BB/100 made me feel that I 'deserve' to win when I am better then everyone else.

Now I understand that I have to respect this game a lot more, that however good I am its not unnatural to run -15BB/100 over 30k hands, that I have to swallow my pride, keep moving down even to irrelevant stakes when the doomswitch arrives, and let this 40BI disaster never repeat itself again.

Man I love this game

Hard to get through 1K
  LemOn[5thF], Jun 05 2009

Its like a sound barrier. I reached it once for a while and than I sustained -3BI over 5k Hands in one day mostly at NL10.

Well, thankfully for my financial situation I had to withdraw $366 two days ago, taking me down to $600 and far from the border of doom.

But because of the secret Stars Withdrawal promotion and the fact that I am almost at 10K FPP again I will soon have the same problem:

(last 2 days

It seems I start to run good again, but my soul has not yet recovered from the Doomswitch, and I find refuge at NL10 and always spend my sessions there until I make at least 4BI, and then I take a 'shot' at NL25.
I feel like I have a shrapnel near my heart from the -40BI during 12 days explosion and it starts to hurt whenever I get a bad beat.

Some Hands
  LemOn[5thF], Jun 02 2009

I don't think they are tough enough for regular forums. If anyone thinks its low stakes worthy than tell me and I might move it.

Hand1: Standard bluff 3bet against a wide range opener who has like 75+% fold to 3bet stats, 0 bluff 4bets expected.

1) Cbet - Should I make it bigger on Non-AK Board to generate more FE?

2)The Turn. I think this should have been a second barell.
I will be Bet/calling most of the time here right?
What should be the sizing of the barrel, can I make it big as I will call a shove anyway?
+ Show Spoiler +

]

hand2
1) PF- the original caller was pretty tight UTG so squeeze is out of the question.
Do we have the implied odds to call PF with one gappers?

2) River. I think that the flush here is very believable. Would you make the bluff here and how much do you bet? ( I think that $3.80 is ideal) Would you ever over bet in this situation?

+ Show Spoiler +

hand364/43/20% 3bet Villain

Get it in pre?

Call Flop?

+ Show Spoiler +

Hand4: A Special Treat for Pwners.
I am not requesting a line check. I want to take the line as a given and say in which specific situations would it be viable, against what opponent, what table dynamics and when would you make the river call and why.

+ Show Spoiler +

All this in my crazy ass session today:
