In regard to stocks, I almost made put a decent amount on a stock called Vinfast. I thought I missed the value so I decided to wait a few days when it was floating between $78-$82 per share, and then a few days later it dropped to half, and then a couple days later it dropped to $20+ per share.
I wanted to invest in Nvidia a month ago, but I waited too long on that, even though it's still going up for good reason.

How did you know to invest in Nvidia? Just curious. I think you need to know a shit-ton about data-pseudoscience, Nvidia gpu's, their cudaNN software, and their competition, to be confident in making a good call on that. I don't really understand how they've monopolized the market on gpu software/hardware here and am too lazy to look into it. Will they be competing heavily with AMD in 5 years from now?
All the A.I. startups I want to invest in are private companies and they skyrocketed while I've been interested in them. Kinda sucks.
Imo Huggingface (inc) has a real shot at eclipsing OpenAI as the dominant A.I. company in the future. They are a company that distributes language models to the masses like they are candy, and anyone can upload them to the hub there. They are interested in making it so every 8 year old and their grandmother can make a model better than chatgpt 4, in 5 lines of code. Not sure if that's a good idea or not. Currently better models than chatgpt-3 are being made on $400 video cards in a few days of training.
So basically they are like OpenAI except that they are open. There are also cloud A.I. based information retrieval based startups like Pinecone and Weaviate that look somewhat promising.

My friend told me about it a couple of months ago, but the big money on Nvidia was already made earlier this year.
I have 1 share of Nvida. I'm waiting for it to drop more before I add more.

This guy is a bit of a critic of A.I. He is a linguistics professor and started an A.I. company called geometric intelligence, and headed self driving car research at Uber or something. He now writes a lot about the hype surrounding A.I., bubbles, it's dangers and limitations of deep learning approaches.
Look at the chatgpt4 userbase and monthly visit numbers. It has been declining alot lately. When it starts to level off, and reach's an equilibrium, that's probably when you know that most of the hype is over and it's reached a bottom, and most of the people are using it for actual real world cases rather than trying to make it say dumb shit for entertainment.
