Baseball season starting tonight!

Thought I'd share the following article regarding HFA (home field advantage)

HFA in the NBA has held steady at almost 60% or 3 points in terms of the spread. HFA in baseball is significantly lower at 54%. Assuming two teams of equal strength and no vig, the moneyline should be -117 for the home team and +117 for the road team as opposed to somewhere between 140-150 for the NBA.

Regarding baseball, just wondering--is the mlb.com premium thing the best (and/or only) method of watching the games live? Is that what you guys are gonna use this season? I wanna watch some of those games tomorrow since most of the pitching aces are starting for their teams.

I get the mlb package from my cable company for $200 but I think I'm also going to get the mlb.com this year as well.

Yeah, I just got the mlb.com thing and it seems to work ok (I'll test it out on the Yankees game in a few minutes here). There are 13 games tomorrow and half of em start before 4 PM EST, so, I guess I'll check back here for my opening day picks between now and then.
