i just finished a 2½ month course on metabolism including enzyme biochemistry, digestion and nutrition so I do have some idea of what im talking about. I mean, sure there could be some enzymes in foods or rather coenzymes that help the enzymes work more effectively but that effect would be so small its negligable because not once has this been mentioned in any of my classes. Anyone taking supplementary enzymes might aswell just pour the tablets right into the toilet because like I said, a healthy body can without problem synthesize the enzymes it needs. This is complex shit man, and its extremely regulated. Bluntly pouring enzymes into your body is probably going to do more harm than good.
oh and the last explanation for gall stones that you posted makes perfect sense. Bare in mind im still a first year student and we primarily study the healthy body(no pathology yet) so everything i say should obv be taken with a grain of salt. I still know enough to call bullshit on some of these things though. |

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN | Last edit: 16/01/2010 07:11 |
