Just curious...whats a good number for BB/100? I was runnin like a champ and had 20bb/100...and someone said i was raping? So whats a realistic number for this? What should i be setting as a goal?

OMFG....u guys are confusing the fuck outta me...lol...I've played 4664 hands and my BB/100 is 11.40....i 12 table nl2 ....is this high...should this be expected at nl2 and not at higher levels?...what should a goal be? I'm really confused cuz it should be higher than this...but some donk took 3 bi's from me by shoving all in every hand and running like god.....kkvsq6...AJ vs AQ (only time he had a good hand was against me) ...and AJvs J5....lost all of those...solid...so that chart should be moved up 10 bucks ish....if it wasnt for me lifetilting and running bad against that guy....just curious....

first off, there are two different ways of expressing winrate that people are not being clear about.
Your winrate is always expressed in big blinds, but there are two different ways of saying how many big blinds per 100 you're winning. 1bb/100 would be winning one big blind per 100 hands. 1BB/100 would be winning TWO big blinds per 100 hands. Its important to remember these abbreviations mean very different winrates.
So anyways, what I've found to be commonly accepted as a good, sustainable winrate is 3-5BB/100 (or 6-10bb/100).
Personally, I always try to sustain a ~3BB/100 (or 6bb/100) winrate for a 20k+ sample before I move up in limits.
If you do some quick math, you'll see that 5BB/100 (or 10bb/100) means you are winning about 1buyin per 1000 hands. 2.5BB/100 (or 5bb/100) is half a buyin per 1000 hands. I like to keep this in mind as a good or reasonable amount of winnings when I look at my graph and see a big downswing  |

Your winrate is huge and ridiculous, but its to be expected at nl2 when everyone is really terrible plus you're usually playing "deep" (which means you have more than 100big blinds in your stacks). Also, your sample is very small and its possible you just picked up a bunch of good hands and ran into lower parts of your opponents' ranges everytime. |

what is the logic behind 1BB/100 meaning actually 2BB? Like saying "fuck you" and meaning "glad u r here"... this makes no sense to me at the moment  . |

I think its some old thing from pokertracker and limit poker, BB is a Big Bet which is 2times the big blind

I like describing my winrates in BB more because its Bigger and Badder tho |

All noted....I know noone tries to have a small winrate...but im just wanting ot know where im at and if i need to reevaluate what i'm doing...like i said...mine should be higher than 11...but thats also not something taht can really be said in poker...I'm gonna go for a bigger sample...and then see what u all think...:D |
